  • Right, enuff said round here.

DD in Singapore! Others a night sleep afore! Clothes dried in a thrice, but 42C Mhags, that is cool! Aussies I worked with said 21C was cold, 30C was bearable, 40C was hot. In the Middle east, 50C was … Left over pies, blue skies. I have booked the yellow thing for Easter! Made beds, with grans blanket? What is wrong with the father word! Chewing curd, expleting the words. Conference halls, student walls! Be on yer bike. But what is a clothes horse doing with the bike. No I am lost. More homemade loaf. Crusted jam on Toast, I boast?
Not much to show for all m,y misdoings and things yesterday. So I shall reap and eat my fruit salad, toasted fox and claw sandwich.

This will help me drool over your deeds.

5 Finally got on the intranet phone book. Seems none knew how to do it down at the Salt Mine Now peoples will be ringing up. Told you. Not take long.

4 Raffles has snuggled up to the warmest spot in the house of BoP. The boiler. How he gets up there in one leap astounds Ms BoPsie, but the paw dangels abound. When he comes down, there is a thud.

3 Match this eve, and DD has her Tinpot replay as well. Mariner Luton final still on the cards!

2 Nots got round to watch UC yet, Ms BoPsie and mes snoggled ups for the train one instead yesterday. Do not forget though you can watch Catch up licence free.

1 All a bored the skylark!

Didn't post yesterday (I am officially a little bit poorly) but will try and remember my pleasures.

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Sons had good days at school.

    3) Went to Worcester to meet my school friend. Did the charity shops (of course!) and got T shirts from Boden and Joules for sons. One in particular has a splendid picture on, of a shark.

    4) Back home briefly to get a few things done.

    5) Oh yes, went to Santander AGAIN to try and make them change my name on my mortgage! Hope that is done at last.

    6) Doctor's appointment in the afternoon. Turns out that my near constant burping, almost constant indigestion and intermittent sore throat are caused by gastro oesophageal reflux disease. So rather relived it is not a stomach ulcer and a course of tablets before a review in a month.

    7) Spent quite a long time trying to explain the Unbelievable Truth (radio 4) to smaller son who has little concept of lying! Then we listened to it but he was still not impressed and is looking forward to Just a Minute coming back on.

Frith - your pool sounds loads nicer than our school pool which whilst "heated" was outdoors. Brrrrr. Hoping tablets help. Love the idea of smaller son wanting Just A Minute! (Excellent taste that man!)
Caterina - well timed at that Farmers Market! Hurrah for Steam trains. Good to watch them come & go, *I* enjoy waving. (My sons embarass so easily...)
sparrer - all the best with the supds & 'Sarah Bernhardt'! Found Euros - now are they budgeted for or mad money?! 5 things from every room? Inspirational!
kittikins - a good SEN place is wodnerful - they achieve so much! The children are remarkable, and I have a special place in my heart for the parents. I'm sure your glasses & beads are lovely! Well done getting lectures in despite idiots, putting qualkity time in at the library & *blimey* mixing teacher training with wedding planning...?! Blimey Marshall Davis Jones lays it right out! Very, very impressed & moved!
mhagster - loving "Washings out, garden watered, veg admired in my jammies". Your holiday may have helped you realise why we treasure your alternate reality! School books are gruesome, but well done DD on the shoes! Hoping you do get a cash buyer for last years books & enjoy the Tudor Farmhouse!
BoP - ah the perils of washing up... Well done on a sterling example of a succesful wedding day & years after! "there is a thud" - yep, we had a leaper & the landings were always audible!
DD - glad you're safe in Singapore - tried a tuktuk yet? Atta gal using the bubbles so cannily! I ahve onl,y once embarassed myself in a lecture, but my pills were entirely responsible & the lecturer thanked me for "trying so hard". (If embarassment were mortal...)
ArtDecoGirly - welcome! Home baking & local shopping are real pleasures!
CCP - delighted to hear sister escaped albeit briefly! How long do putah peeps need to diagnose It's Dead Replace It?!
Chickenopolis - cream cakes & steak tend to indicate exercise bike, yowch. Well domne terrier giving fox a serious surprise!
mcculloch - well done with winning ways with gammon! Foaming Shower gel sounds wonderful! Another guitar? He's so lucky you are there to sign for them!
Broomstick - hyacinths are good. Making mum happy is always good. Sheets that have been sides-to-middled are special - I hope you slept like a happy log between them & under the Provencale bedpread!

OS Pleasures over the last 2 days
Deciding to take leave til the car's sorted. I'll take risks with me, but not with me in a car.

Despite being late, got a roost in a handy corner of the carpark.

The colour of the sky - clear crisp blue! Cold (despite looking as if the sun's blazing) but glorious!

Leaving work in daylight! OK, to get poorly car home, but daylight!

Hazel trees lollipoped so ruthlessly now beginning to bud!

Listening to students skateboarding rollerblading etc where they did not ought & debating various eateries & strategies - surprisingly MS! Resisted urge to share this insight.

Newspaper says we like thankyou, praise & tea more than skintime. Having just had an affectionate text & looking forward to child brewing up on my return home, they may have a point....

Car all ticketty boo & sorted! And my research paid off - not only was I not slapped with girlie tax on the main issue (google diagnosis confirmed!) but I also got a lower price on tyres.

Free refills at Costco. Given the amount of money I spent, it was very nice to have a freebie.

Blades have arrived & menfolk delighted. So far, no blood spilled.

Got my stray kindle sorted for sister.

Planning have visited & enforcement has the neighbour in hand. The amazing appearing overlooking windows are now very clearly noted.

Big hugs to those who need them, please can we have some yellow stuff? and we survived Monday!

    Art'noon!

PK - I lost a J Brown's poker too :( but probably for the best
    Welcome back kittikins
    Hello, ArtDecoGirl

    Pleasures for Sunday

    1. Took DD out for her driving lesson - and survived :p She was OK, we drove round the empty trading estate nearby. I will do that a couple more times before we try proper roads, though I did let her drive home
    2. Finally managed to find my way into the marking. THe marking isn't a pleasure but i couldn't figure out how to do it.
    3. Roast chicken for tea - cooked and cleared up by OH
    4. Sherlock

Only 4 - pay one back for Saturday :D

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. dropped DD at school and then came back fo a soak in the bath and rewatched Sherlock on ipad. Shhh Don't tell OH, he will go ballistic :p
    2. Coffee with friend
    3. Work OK - this group are a nicely cheeky lot who are a joy.
    4. Couldn't find chilli in the overstuffed freezer - so took out mince and made chilli :o. DS had some bottles of chilli sauce for christmas, so we had a chilli challenge with our tea
    5. relaxed evening not doing much

    And today

    1. New module - went Ok
    2. colleague was 60 today and had a "do" in the staff kitchen. Proper champers (only a sip cos driving - shame, I love champers)
    3. What he also brought in deserves it's own point - the most UH MAY ZING chocolate and nougat slab "thing". I think all my calorie allowance for the day went into eating a bit. I will be on soup for tea - but it was soooooooo worth it. Colleagues son works for a chocolate importing company (WHY DID NO-ONE TELL ME THAT WAS A JOB?????;)) and gets "seconds". Apparently it sells for £10 a slice in Harrods.
    4. Had an hour to kill in town - that showed me I don't miss anything when I don't have time to browse
    5. Got some knock down fruit and veg in town. Not amazingly cheap, but a little.

Have a good evening all - day off tomorrow (though there will be some marking)
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Good evening all !

    Sparrer- thats sweet !

    VJsmum- food p*rn :D

DfV - I love these bright clear days . I agree its nice to come home and it's still light !

    Frith get well now !

    Just 3 for today

    1. Work ok

    2. Let the hens out for a mooch (accompanied of course) as it was light when I got home. Their mega huge run arrives on Friday :T Now I know why I go to work...

    3. Used up the other half of the box of enchilladas ( like the hair dye Sparrer) as too much in one hit.

    Thats it really !

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

I am really sorry, but I want to boast. I'm an adult education tutor, as most of you know.

I had an Observation of Teaching and Learning feedback this afternoon, where my performance as an e- tutor was evaluated.

For the second time running, and the third time in my working career for various organisations, I got a Grade 1, Outstanding.

I am so pleased, it really makes the hard work worthwhile .
I would celebrate but my tummy is rebelling, so soft drinks on my weekly night out, I think. It means I will have to skip the pie and peas supper that is on the menu at the music club for this evening. Oh well.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Get well soon, not sure what gastro oesophageal reflux is, but sounds a tad yukky ((Frith)) xx
  • Muccolloch: Fantastic :beer::j:beer:

    For yesterday
    1. I worked from home, I know it sounds daft it was nice to be back, all be it “virtual”, but also talking on a conference on the phone made me realise how rough I sound. But I have a solid weeks work ahead should keep my mind of it...

    2. Took a ferret to the lovely vet but they aren’t too sure what is up they have run a few tests and will email in the morning.
    3. Made bangers and mash.
For Today: Sorry pleasure 1 is also a mini rant.
    1. Work was okish, I had to bite back the big I quit which sprang to mind today, when I have to work with a complete and utter numpty there is no way round it he is useless, utterly rude, inept, and doubles my workload due to his complete ineptness and 3 sane people have left already over the past months stating him as the reason. And breath, nothing I can do about the numpty except move on.:(
    2. The vet phoned, seems the fuzz has an infection, hoping a course of antibiotics will help get him on top of it.
    3. I ordered a weather station for DH in a sale, it’s one I did a whole load of research into a year ago, but couldn’t afford back then, and something he’s always wanted, we have had cheap ones that have all broken so this is a bit of investment and he’s happy.:T
    4. Physio, a course of acupuncture and confirmation both DH and I are on an 8 week pilates class really looking forward to it.:j
    5. Found a kitchen fitter via trade reviews, thing is I am not sure how much I trust an websites but we will see.:o
    6. Did some errand stuff paying online bills
    7. Home made chicken and veg curry with turmeric rice, a completely yellow meal, pre made for when we got back from physio
    8. The life insurance people called and called, but its finally underway, have to wait for a decision now.
