cCP good luck with the pub, quiz, it's the one thing I am rather good at - mine of useless information, that's why :rotfl:

    Oh, me too!

I love the ridiculous circular conversations you get at pub quizzes, like this one from last night:

Quizmaster: where is the Lively Lady kept?

    Me: Port Solent
    Team-mate K: is that Chichester?
Me: no, it's north of Portsmouth.
K: I meant Francis Chichester - was that his boat?
Me: oh, right. Yes, it was.
K: so where's it kept, then?

    :wall: :rotfl:

BoP - Raffles is absolutely gorgeous - not that you need anyone to point that out, I'm sure!

Broomstick - many congratulations to your DS. :T I am currently ploughing my way through my final OU course before acquiring a degree, so I fully appreciate what an achievement that is. :T:T:T

    1) A text from my sister thanking me for her birthday present, a kindle voucher - she's said that her kindle is about the only thing making life bearable while in hospital on her birthday. :(

    2) I could smell the coconut soap I use for handwashing this morning - a pleasure because my sense of smell has been awol since I developed The Cold over a week ago.

    3) Tuna pesto pasta bake for dinner - comfort food of the highest order.

    4) Decided I wasn't going to make the deadline for my next OU assignment and have asked for an extension, which the kindly tutor has said he will always grant.

    5) Naughty naughty CCP treated herself to a pair of gold earrings from the Amaz0n lightning sale - 60% off so a very good price, but still :o

    lisakay - great news!! :j

Well, I've not managed to catch up. More blinking school work, but hopefully I won't have to do anything over the weekend. Fingers crossed/wishful thinking.

    My 5 for the day:

    1) Travel insurance bought and a nice little cashback amount has been added to my Topcashback account. :j

    2) HM chilli con carne for supper this evening. However, the freezer is looking rather bare. That'll have to be resolved at some point soon!

    3) Yellow sticker potatoes bought today! :j Love it when there's something on my shopping list in the yellow sticker section. :D

    4) £9 to transfer to the kitchen blinds fund. Think I might be saving for a good long time at this rate!

    5) Avoided buying unnecessary things in Mr T's tonight. I stuck to my list! How about that?! ;)

    Right, good night all.
