Vicky A - no to a trip to costa? were you not feeling well?
It's only because my friend had bought me a cup of tea earlier!
My 5 for today:
1) HM beetroot soup from the freezer for supper tonight. Not only HM but also home grown! :j That was the last of that batch though
2) Realised I'd got a £5 Amazon voucher from a survey I did a couple of weeks ago. Duly added to my Amazon account!
3) Getting really into the Sealed Pot Challenge. No loose change is safe. Shouldn't go too over the top as I DO need to buy food every now and again!
4) Will have a teensy bit of money left over in the joint account at the end of this month. Will put this towards saving for blinds for the kitchen window. How grown up.(I don't want to be grown up! I'm 34 and am not ready yet
)
5) Steadily starting to get my Christmas presents together... 1 month to go. :eek:Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

I'm 64 and I assure you I delight in being less and less so. Failed dismally 1st time round and cba making any particular effort now.
vjm - metoometoo to shipping forecast. That's why I am so covetously pleased.

I do hope your sister's OK, CCP.
Here are my pleasures quickly as smaller son is calling me upstairs a lot.
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Caught up with the Archers.
3) Finally did the poem bit of my Sinter Klaas present!
4) Ordered the present for smaller son. He's got brother in law so we're getting him a bag of climber's chalk (for his hands) and smaller son is going to hide it inside a papier mache "mountain".
5) Made some rather nice soup with carrots, lentils etc and threw in the kale left from my veg box. Some in the freezer now and plenty for my lunch tomorrow and bigger son will have some at school in a flask.
6) Went to meet the speech and language therapist at school. She said smaller son is "very complicated" (!) and she will ask her colleagues for advice. He refused to talk to her. I did warn her about the selective mutism! They always find him interesting because his vocabulary is very good but he does not use it and has poor central coherence so if he looks at a picture or reads some text, he gets taken in by a tiny bit of it and can't answer questions on other bits or what it means as a whole (at least, I think that's what central coherence is!) 90% of questions I ask him are answered with "don't know" which I think is a symptom of that.
7) Made a tray of fairy cakes for lunches tomorrow and for eating during I'm a Celebrity.
8) Spoke to my sister on the phone about my will (which I'm having drawn up on Wednesday).
That's about it. Have given up trying to have 5 minutes to myself down here this evening so will go to bed with my hwb and Sorry I Haven't a Clue.0 -
Lisakay: I hope your DH recovers soon.
Vjsmum love your idea about staff meetings.
Chicken: Glad the terrier is in good hands
Broomstick: very impressed, with C word shopping, I am panicking mildly as I am normally more organised.
I’m feeling quiet not intentionally I am a naturally quiet person I have to “try to talk” as I’m just not naturally chatty, I have a couple of things to worry/think over and I tend to do it silently.
1. Worked from home as lots to do.
2. I’ve booked in for a haircut! This is huge news for me, first apt in over a year.
3. More emergency training tonight.
4. Just back and HM frozen pizza and garlic bread.
5. I won a dvd set on the amazon offer thing going on I was going to buy it anyway for the c word but this way it was 6 pound cheaper as well.:p0 -
Hello all, I've been lurking but not posting. Glad to read lots of lovely things happening and GET WELL SOON poorly peeps xxx
The reason for my lurking - stress, feeling like the worst possible teacher trainee in the world ever, over-tired, not sure I understand even how to write my name, let alone teach anyone else how to write it......well, that was last week, this week is MUCH BETTER
So, some random pleasures....
1. Despite crying a lot last week, I didn't cry in front of the children (although I did have to pretend my cold was very bad when I met up with them to go on a trip with a very red nose!)
2. My uni tutor came to observe me and said I'm doing fine, my lessons are good, my paperwork all neat and up to date, and it's normal to be stressed at this stage!
3. DD gave me such a boost. I really couldn't live without her xxx
4. Online survey done that will get me £4 LV
5. DD and I had fun when I took her Christmas shopping at the weekend - my brother will love his 'fart putty' contained in a plastic toilet!!
6. Have found a whole set of phonics lesson plans so that means I don't have to plan a thing for my littlies! Hoorah!!
7. Hopefully meeting up for a coffee with some course mates tomorrow.
8. Have planned a trip to Brighton over the Christmas holidayA lovely friend has just bought a house to do up (apparently it's lush as it is, but not quite good enough for their family yet), so we will have our own gaff to chill out in rather than sleeping on people's floors!

Hello.
Having a bit of a bleurgh kind of day, I seem to have one a week!
Anyway.
Fish and chips for tea.....just chips for me ....no bread . I am trying to reduce carbs again but not as drastically as last time.
Just water and diluted juice today.....I am trying to stop diet cola addiction
Both of above will account for bleurgh feeling and sore head....withdrawal symptoms!
Sat outside for a teeny little while in garden and read but was really too hot for me.
Then later on in day I went and sat back outside and read, still warm and pleasant but not as hot.
That's all I did!
I enjoyed the flowers and the butterflies and the birds singing though.
Tomorrow will be better0
