Morning all
I am sat with face pack on looking like a cross between a zombie and cocoa the clown :rotfl:
Frith glad you had a good day apart from small son meltdown. Hope All is calmer today
Vicky, love clean sheets, will be doing that myself shortly
Broomstick, friend hit a deer a few years ago, if car hadn't been only a week old it would have been a write off:eek: another got an antler through the bonnet
Skint, love Emma Thompson, saw her do stand up years ago - she was awful, she's a much better actress than comic.
Pleasures for yesterday
1 not a pleasure but woke at 5. The pleasure is I caught up some emails promised to students who have an exam tomorrow
2 DD had first driving lesson  it went well apparently
3 DS went out on his own for the day. He took train to a steam railway and then went to see local team play an away match. So proud that my kids have that ability to be independent
4 went walking with OH and friends and pub lunch
5 nice soak in bath
Right face has set, OH came in and made me laugh so now it's all crackedI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
DD - loving the poodle but I think its beyond me! Made me grin though:D
Thanks everyone x I am taking it easy, i am trying the list option with OH so he knows what needs doing. He is as we speak off to buy me the worlds largest, loosest drawers!! (as everything seems to touch staples:o)
1. DD bought me the new TP book 'raising steam' as a get well soon gift:D
2. A pretty pink cyclamen from DD also...though she knows I kill houseplants!
3. OH doing the washing up every morning:D
4. OH remembering to take washing out of machine (with a little hint of me kicking the wash basket and making a big fuss of trying to open the door
5. Lunch of chicken salad roll:) and easiyo is yo ing so I can have yogurt for breakfast tomorrow:) (best thing about hospital was breakfast, sausages in a bap, yogurt and fresh fruit:D)
Love to all x ampersand you always make me smile x
Frith - you have the patience of a saint sweetheart x big hugs x2013 NSD 100. CC2014CC- £31.50/£1352014 NSD 86 so far - May 20/212014 G/C spend £741.55 so far May £107.99/£91Debt Free - 30.05.13 Emergency tin - £1000June 23 - 9NSD0 -
Getting tight there DD
Guess who has the Apron!
5 Raffles is renamed Lightfoot. You cannot hear him snook round the palace.
6 Fishcakes made. using non Icelandic haddock, smoked in Grimsby. Please avoid line caught. It is thought that a man leans out of boat with a rod. It is not, the line could be up to m100 miles long. and if it comes adrift, those fish caught on it, die, instead of being used for food.
2 nite with Ms BoP
Oh and them fish cakes!
1 Eat them up now gals!
And I am steaming as well. 4 Puds down! the Biggies to go. Seems it is a lot lighter. More on the day!0 -
Good evening all !
Thank you all re the tiny terrier .
Frith- My cousin has a son with a diagnosis of autism who is now an adult. When he was a small boy she bought him a T shirt that said "I am not naughty I am autistic" . I am not sure what I think about that but he still has days when he shouts and screams and throws his shoes at random people aged 23. But those days have become fewer and fewer. ((hugs)) to you, it's not easy.
5 for today
1. Had Mn'S vouchers and 20% off voucher but there wasn't anything I fancied so wasn't going to "waste" it.
2. Bumped into colleague in Mr. M and gave her a £5 off £40 voucher I had as we were going to spend less than that and used our £3 off £20 shop.
3.Took the lopsided face terrier out - she was full of it in spite of whatever is going with her swollen little face .
4.Roast chicken for tea must turn oven on in a mo.
5.Two hens are now moulting and look very funny. A garden full of feathers raises the anxiety somewhat:eek:.
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
1) Long lie-in this morning - I just couldn't seem to wake up, even with Isis purring in my ear.
2) NSD and NPD.
3) Mentioned to my DF that I had to take Isis to the vet to get a prescription for anti-flea drops, and he told me that the brand recommended by CP is actually available without a prescription, which will save me both money and hassle.
4) Watched some football and the last grand prix, and have now gone over to winter sport (skating / luge / skiing) - my 5ky subscription is not remotely OS, but I do enjoy it.
5) A warming winter dinner tonight - mixed veggies with bacon in cheese sauce, with some HM bread to mop up the sauce. :drool:Back after a very long break!0 -
G'd evening all - I am supervising DS homework, it is like pulling teeth
BoP - those fish cakes look yum.
LfS - seeeexxxxxxaaaaayyyyy
Chicken - hope terrier is OK as she is full of energy - must be a good sign, surely.
CCP - I also struggled to wake up. I think it is relief that the end of my module was nigh!
Today's pleasures
1. Woke at 6.30 - then 7.30 - finally at 8.20 after nearly 10 hours sleep :T Dreamt (dreamed?) of a death and a new baby = endings and new beginnings?
2. Egg on toast for brekkie followed by toast and homemade marmalade, mussels for lunch and lovely roast lamb for tea (bought half price in Mr T!)
3. Ordered a carpet for decorated spare room, was a bit dearer than i'd have liked but says it is moth resistant.
4. Made choc chip muffins this pm - luvverly
5. Wasn't inundated with emails from students doing exam tomorrow, which is good for me and added to my generally taking it easier day, but a bit worrying about the quality of exam paper I will get to mark. Still sufficient unto the day and all that.
In early to invigilate tomorrow, then an early dart and being a lady wot lunches againI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Good evening everyone :hello:
It was the Joules Big Sale today not too far away, so a friend and I queued for the best part of an hour and came away with not very much! A couple of years ago they were doing 3 items of children's clothing for £20. You can imagine how generous I looked at Christmas! Sadly no more.... However, I did come away with a top for myself.
So, my 5 for today:
1) Sausages defrosted for supper this evening. Yum!
2) Said no to a trip to Costa. Almost unheard of at the weekend.
3) Done my planning for the week ahead! :j
4) Finished my audit of the toiletries I have and there are 4 A4 pages worth.
5) Signed up to the Sealed Pot Challenge!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Evening all. Quick five pleasures since previous post/for Sunday.
1. Both DSs got home safely last night. Phew!
2. Spent day at competition - nice to catch up with friends.
3. DS1 made our packed lunches first thing and put together a really lovely mozzarella salad for me.
4. Tinned tomato soup from the emergency supplies and bread and cheese for supper - way too tired to cook.
5. Managed to remember to do a to-up order of veg etc rather than get another box this week - still have too much to use up from last week.
Sweet dreams

I am trying not to let a few things going on get to me,
1.It’s Sunday so we laid in with no alarm
2.Got bum into gear and loaded up a little more of the caravan, about to order some vet bed as a rug for the new van.
3.Gathered another bag of clothes to be bedding and dumped together
4.Tidied up properly a little bit
5.A few loads of washing done and dried
6.A play with the animals.
7.A home made chicken and mash thing is cooking away in the oven, with a side of cabbage cooked in with loads of herbs, (I’ve been reading up a lot recently on which home grown herbs are good for relaxing so trying a few out tonight).
8. NSD / NPD.
I thought I might struggle a bit but 8 pleasures easy not bad at all.0 -
1. Tight match. Tough on Ireland, but we did it with a lot of try-out players for 2015. At long last Beauden Barrett took to the field - overdue. Joe !!!!!!!'s kiwi-style coaching is bearing fruit. My grandfather was Head Boy in the early 1900's where JS taught: Palmerston North Boys' High.
2. Carboot earlier, struggled to spend 50p twice. Weather nasty - spitty fine drenchy mist and cold with it. Pleased with new Shipping Forecast teatowel. Other is 50's boxed hankies, gents', original cellophane and little crimbo gift card. Off to Spits.
3. Trumpy w8rs' building work complete - tested new interior. Aisles o.k. but caf! re-boot not. Several design flaws e.g.narrow mandatory trolley park alongside, unworkable and high-walled, so not visible to seated patrons, unfriendly layout[lines of canteen rectangular tables, nasty chairs] and odd d!cor[white/grey, loss of 1/2 window]. rtc pesto though:-)
4. Bit bullet post-ruggers and bought replacement phone charger[old has stopped working;battery nearly dead], sandisk usb adaptor[kaput with putah burnout] and these things join the list of this week's £outpourings. Please may they be the last.
Passport renewal should be, but delayed until healed eye allows proper photo.
5. Decided something - form filled in.
Thankyou lfs.
vicky - your signature pleases me no end.
Well done on 8, pk.
hwb and green tea await. There's a good reason for there being no cricket tonight.
Oh dear.
