McCulls. Well impressed. The 15 minutes for all!
And the goat made the pitch as well. Minded me of the Halton boys and their goat. One parade we turned up with the missing dog as our mascot. He went up and down the mile being shown, while the apprentices had to wait till we had finished.
Minds me of Skid's brother!
5 Ms BoP had the pirate car serviced yestdi. Blllllloooooomy ells. Booked in for 9, they started at nearly gone 3!!! So Ms BoPs had to drive into Cardiff on her todski. And as she is bull free, she managed to park right in the centre, for £2!, and find BoP. Any longer and it would has bin oggie, Oggie, OOOOGGIE, Hic Hic Hic!
4 Bit fed up with Radio Gylberdyke and the city of Suplhar! Now it is mentioning how awful it was in the seventies as we wes all unemployed! We wes not. Those not able to get on the college curse aged 14 for the apprenticeship, are probably still the shelf stackers of the day!
3 If I hear another cross media advert from the BBC on my radio for some pupped up show I will go draught! Ale! Again IO am odds with the elders over poverty. That will be another blitz of shame on funds to Africa then! I would prefer a coffee morning and roils for our community.
2 nite is film nite with Ms BoP

Oh, and the rigbi! Ms BoP certainly enjoyed it as well!!!!!!!0 -
I found Isis' mouse! It was on the back of the sofa, behind a cushion, at least three feet above Isis' head - goodness knows how she got it up there!
mcculloch - thanks for that link to the mascot video. I seemed to get something in my eye while watching it, though...Back after a very long break!0 -
Ouch about the eye ampers hope you're healing well
Ditto you lfs be kind to yourself. Re knitting see pleasure 2 below
How was your londinium day frith?
ccp well you always said you'd find it soon as you got another
1) slept till 9:47!!! Unheard of. Must have needed the sleep
2) remember last year i wanted to knit friend a poodle loo roll cover? Well today i found this https://sites.google.com/site/hbmprintablepatterns/poodle-toilet-roll-cover
3) girls both busy so had day on my own. Wow! Bought a sarnie and fruit at mr t with voucher i had. Got dd2's flat coffee (1/2 price) and jelly babies for tomorrow's dr who on iplayer so lunch et al came to 22p :-)
4) then walked up arthur's seat. Bracing and stunning. Half way up off came hat and gloves. 3/4 way up off came scarf. At top off came jacket. Dd was puffed! Sat eating my lunch and reading my book - the snow child - gradually redressing. Then wandered back the scenic route.
5) just off to murrayfield. Scotland oz game. Hence not watching dr who (sorry ampers) tonight.
It's been a really good day. So unused to not having anyone else to think about, spent a lot of time thinking about me - my marriage (not all bad), the breakup thereof (still sore), my future (totally unknown but looking on it as an adventure). I have today though let relevant prof know i'm up for kurdistan. Will let you know what happens...MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

2. Took the terrier to the vet she has , I think either an abscess , bad tooth, or .. a tumour. Needs an Op. on Monday. She was so good being prodded and poked and wanted a cuddle whilst being man handled.Poor thing.
3.Beautiful bright day here, washing dried on line.

Have a good day all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Today was meant to be Isis' Big Day - her first trip out to have a look at her garden. Isis, however, had other ideas - as soon as I opened the patio door she vanished behind the bed and wouldn't come out until the door was once again firmly locked. Like all cats she knows her own mind, and clearly today her mind was made up that she wasn't going outside in the cold!
1) Worked out how to stop Isis being a nuisance in the early hours of the morning - if I get up and make a fuss of her for a few minutes she then settles down and lets me have a lie-in.
2) Decided to do something useful out in the garden while unsuccessfully trying to get Isis to join me, so the old tomato plants are now in the garden waste bin for collection next week.
3) I had been really struggling with this year's office Secret Santa - the lady whose name I pulled out has worked there longer than I have but our paths cross so infrequently that I have no idea what she likes or is interested in. :undecided After browsing around on the internet today, I found a little mini manicure set I hope she'll like; I also bought myself a couple of nice soaps (one of my few luxuries is nice soap to wash my hands with) and used a code to get 35% off, free delivery, and a free gift (a full-size moisturiser that usually costs more than my whole order), and got cashback as well. :money:
4) Found Isis' mouse! Now I just need to locate her ball, which has also gone missing... (No, it's not on the back of the sofa - it was the first place I checked! :rotfl:)
5) HM pizza for dinner tonight.
Chicken - poor terrier.I hope it turns out to be nothing really serious.
DD - have a great time at the rugby.
ampersand - ouch, your poor eye! Get well now!
LFS - look after yourself - don't make things worse by pushing too hard too soon - it's not surprising you're feeling a bit down after going through all that.Back after a very long break!0 -

sounds like you've all had both lovely and some not so lovely moments.
wishing speedy recoveries to those who are a bit wonky
I wish I had time to read and post every day. today was lovely.
My girls (aged 8 and very nearly 6) let me have a bit of a lie in this morning and when I came down they were already dressed and big one had made breakfast (cereal) for them both.
My mum and dad picked the girls up for a morning on dunham massey, country park. they had a lovely time, got some lovely pictures and saw the deer.
while my dad was taking pics a man came over to ask for a favour. he had set a bench out with champagne and glasses and a sealed envelope. his best friend and his gf were out on a walk and his best friend was about to take his gf by surprise and propose. if my dad was going to be there for a while would he mind taking some pictures and emailing them to him. he did. I've seen the pictures and they are so lovely. wha a nice coincidence that there was someone able to capture the moment
I bobbed into my local white goods repair shop on the scrounge. the couple who own it are very sweet. he is going to save me a washing machine drum next time he has to replace one. i'm going to make it into a fire pit/incinerator.
spent a happy afternoon digging in the dirt with my littlies. we managed to clear a bed and plant the garlic. tomorrows job is to clear a couple more and get the shallots and broad beans in.
brought home a couple of big swedes (turnips if you prefer?!) and have prepped them and got them frozen along with a load of carrots my mum gave me.
also harvested some leeks. chopped and fried a couple, had mine sprinkled over leftover veg curry and the girls over leftover beef stew. really tasty.
have managed to finish one pair of leg warmers and started another this morning. taking a break to make a hat this evening for my gdad who started chemo this week. I made one the other night but it's way too big, oops.
oh and a final one. after DH left for work this eve, the girls and I curled up with blankets, hot drinks, popcorn and 'the rise of the guardians' such a nice film, really enjoyed it. DD1 said 'mummy, this is like family joy time' not sure where she's got that from but yes, it felt exactly like thatfreecycler and skip diver extraordinnaire:cool:0
