    1. NSD :) (because I forgot my purse!!)

    2. Fab day at uni - really interesting and fun lessons and lectures :)

    3. Ate lunch with new chums on what has been named "Kittikins' wall" :) Bless them, I just chose to eat there one day as it's near the library, was in the sunshine and I couldn't find a bench, but hey, if they want to name it after me, who am I to refuse?!?

    4. Inadvertently printed 2 copies of seminar handout whilst in library so was able to pass one to a chum. My good deed for the day - but annoyingly, as I printed it twice, I then didn't have any credit left for the rest of my printing. Hohum....

    5. Cuddles with DD :)

    6. My last seminar of the day finished a wee bit early so I got home much earlier than usual due to less traffic clogging up my route :)

Feel very miserable today. :( It's been ages since I felt like this and it irritates me when there is no reason for it! That being said:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Smaller son still thinks school is amazing! He stayed for a full day today and did some cooking.

    3) We were early for school (!) so went for another wander round the allotments right next door. They really are smashing, full of fruit and veg and dahlias. We were talking to a man about how productive they seem and about waiting lists then he said 2 are vacant and would we like one? Well! Smaller son overjoyed at the thought. Then he realised how far away we lived and was hesitating. I said I would be parked right by the allotments twice a day for the school run so he is going to let me know. :)

    4) Tidied up in a feeble sort of way.

    5) Went to get smaller son from new school and went in for a minute. There are only 2 pupils in his base at the moment (and he is one of them!) so I met the other one, whom we shall call Arthur (as that is not his name).

Turns out Arthur is really quite autistic. He talked to me about bombs for several minutes whilst poking my cardigan (later found he was poking at a dropped stitch hole!) He is quite uncoordinated (which smaller son is not) and has a special supportive seat while he is working.

Anyway, smaller son said he and Arthur are now friends and Arthur has made him a "welcome to our school" card. :) I really don't think smaller son has ever wondered why he was at a very small school and is now in a base with another similar child. He described Arthur in glowing terms then mentioned he has a special seat and said, quite unconcerned "I think there might be something a little bit wrong with him". It did make me smile a bit that he had barely noticed.

    6) Went swimming with sons and my brother.

And that's it! Back to "old" school for smaller son tomorrow, last day before going to new school again on Monday for good. I did shed a tear filling in his home/school link book for the last time.
  • 1. dried tomatoes, chewy sweetness!
    2. rhubarb pie, creamy sweetness:D
    3. HM chips
    4. Fed my friend for tea..ok chips and sausage roll isn't culinary heaven, but I make good HM chips! (and at least I know he's eaten once a week!)
    5. Load of washing dry thanks to yellow thing and a nice breeze
    6. gave my mate stuff for his newly re-opened fire. Coal, poker etc. He won't be frozen again this winter.
Funny old mood. Not quite right today. been thinking too much about dad and mate! And DS is messing me about. Oh we... Big hugs and pie to all xx

Hurrah it's Friday...how quickly they come round each week!

I had a great day at work.....was saying to my colleague... ' I love my work' and she said 'but?' And I said .' No buts....I just love my work !'
Chef was making sausages....and I got to make 2 , a hilarious video was taken on my phone and then I photographed them as they were cooking!
We were busy today which was good but tad hectic but hey! I love my work. It is a good feeling!

Home to my chickadees all going out and about so a very quiet afternoon/ early evening . I'm sitting on my new to me sofa in my office listening to the birds sing and watching the trees sway in the wind and I'm happy that I am home.

Came home with cake! Sat on said sofa and ate said cake! Apple and nougatine tart with a dollop of cream! Also brought home a loaf of bread and some lemon, polenta and ricotta cake!

Nice long chat with my husband whilst on said sofa, eating said cake! Lovely to chat with him. Wish we were together though but it is right that he is home with his family.

So a lovely Friday ...no money spent ...only earned!

    Enjoy your day :)
  • CCP - stick at the lightbox? Cousin needs a week to "restore the lost" then a night a week "maintenance".
    VJsmum - Happy Landings?
Frith - so good to hear Master Frith's progress and all the best with the allotment!
mhagster - yeay! for great colleagues, a job you love and really nice cake.

    OS Pleasures
Didn't buy the expensive special-occasion-treat lemonade and realised that actually I wasn't heartbroken.

Took milk to a team event (I like my tea about 40% milk & that's rough on any tea club) & my hostess nearly wept with laughter & gratitude.

Have the lemons, the ginger & the dark sugar for HM lemonade (old, potent, family recipe!) & ginger cordial making sessions planned this weekend. (Wilkos do bottles! Fingers crossed)

Was listening to birdsong, (tweeting & twittering, chirrups, the odd caw) whe I realised it was someone's ringtone. Oddly, it didn't spoil the enjoyment as much as I thought!

All chaps at home today as school has an INSET day. OS pleasure in knowing they have at least 3 heat & eat choices in the freezer as well as raw materials if they want to cook. Which may mean someone else cooks tonight...

Big hugs to all who need them!
Also to those who just fancy one as an occasional treat.
