1. DH and I talking while we were in the kitchen this morning, everything we were doing was reduced we were saying we just don’t really do full price anything foodish anymore other than milk and cheese. – So we need to live on a farm…
2. The ferrets had an empty box with holes in, and the chinese takeaway crinkly bag and they were very happy, very mse from our un mse take away:o:o
3. We visited a friend in Sussex and took the scenic route there, he and family live on a plot of land in a little cabin, just wonderful both DH and I really do hope for something very similar one day.:)

5. Came home to Chinese leftovers, and then got all creative ahem mincing anything leftover in the fridge, and created burgers using pastry cutters for the shaping.:)
6. Then made some mince pies I have never ever made them before, err tis the season or maybe not, it was just cause I fancied them and had all the ingredients lurking rtc well I guess kind of goes without saying now, and with the left over pastry made a jam tart.:p
7. I love the stormy raining black skies in the garden, brilliant sun the other side.0 -
1. Bought train tickets online then cycled 10 mile round trip to collect
them.
2. Cooked reduced price liver and onions in Wonderbag.
3. Bottled sage, apple and cider sauce. Apples from a local
wheelbarrow ..donations in aid of Cancer Research.
4. Beetroot from same barrow cooked and pickled.
5. Leaves from the beetroot cooked and served with homegrown

Pleasures for today!
1) A long sleep.
2) Met my parents at a local pub and farmers market and had a posh sausage sandwich. It was not a pleasure to find one of my back tyres completely flat when I got back to the car. Or to put the spare on then find that was flat too. I borrowed a foot pump from some bloke at the pub who said to put it back in his pick up when I'd finished with it. Took it back, pick up had gone!
3) House reasonably tidy.
4) Made a curry from a Good Food recipe which was quite tasty and a change from my usual recipe.
5) My school friend came for tea.
6) Sons came back from their father's.
7) Looked at smaller son's travel bug (geocaching) and it has gone to Greece!
8) Had a long chat with MrN about something that has been troubling both of us. (Nothing directly connected with either of us or particularly exciting) True to form, we left the conversation having made no decision or with a view to actually sorting out the problem but good to know he is as worried as me.
In bed now with smaller son (asleep) and a hwb.
Lots and lots of phone calls to make tomorrow to try and get smaller son's move to his new school organised. I thought if I waited, the schools might do it between them. Hmmmmm.........0 -
1) friend who had stroke back at church
2) found nigel kennedy 4 seasons prom on youtube
3) did some gardening and some housework and a bit more sorting done
4) lovely evensong (or evensnog as morning's sheet said) then party for retired priest who still helps out's 80th
5) home in bed with a cp of tea, a cat and absolute power (on iplayer - i am not suggesting i have any let alone absolute power over the cat!)MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Good morning all !
PK - you and OH should have popped in for a cuppa and some eggs ;)I would love a log cabin and a plot of land and some holiday lets.
DD - I read that as !!!!!! and not "prom" :rotfl:
zaxdog - nice post:)
5 for yesterday
1. Shoes in fridge day - couldn't even remember my own name etc. Much to OH's amusement :rotfl:
2. OH made ( with his little old sewing machine;)) some smart royal blue waterproof covers for the hen run. The seagulls had ripped the others to shreds. They look smart and the nosey hens were mooching in and out as he was fitting them .
3. Roast for tea
4. OH wants us to go to Vietnam next year for a long holiday . Did Thailand, Honk Kong and Koh Samui a while back . Need a nice long break.
5.OH "won" a choc. bar - revealed in the wrapper he was about to chuck out.
Have a good Monday all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
A warm but muggy kind of day with storms forecast later.....storm has just started !
Woke up early ...just for a change, so did a couple of UK phone calls.
Pre work...I made strawberry jam, hung out washing, prepped veggies for roasting and put steak and sausages in the slow cooker.
Train to work and nice walk down the hill.
Good day at work....was left in charge for a couple of hours ...had my ' team Mhagster' all pep talked and we did just fine! Had nettle tagliatelle again for lunch as it's so tasty. Also had a taste of pumpkin risotto which was amazing!
OH picked me up, he'd used my car for work as his was in for a service.
So I didn't need to worry about parking fines and rush hour traffic.
I'd left instructions for dinner to go on ( I was on a late shift) so steak pie, roasted spuds, parsnips, pumpkin and carrots which was lovely!
Bit tired but have a day off tomorrow! Strange doing odd days here and there, I need to work out how I should manage days off...do I relax or do I try and catch up on housework etc...which is what I would normally do both over the weekend.....hmmm!
Enjoy your day!0 -

Sorry, ours is a sprite major also - it's interior is blue, which is fairly unusual. We love it and every time we browse we agree that we prefer ours
Mhags, nettle tagliatelle sounds. Lush
Ooh Vietnam, chicken. I will be well jelit is on my list for our "silver gap year"
Hello pws52 - s'nice here
Yesterday's pleasures
1 bit of a lazy morning and I didn't catch norovirus :T had a soak in the bath
2 emptied four mahoosive boxes and a large bin liner that had come back to us from MiL loft where it has been for 7 years  have only kept about a dozen ornamenty type things - some jugs I was collecting - I now have a lovely pair of jugs :rotfl:, a candlestick and a lovely picture of me, my mum and DD when she was very young. Mum looks lovely, really laughing - a lot of my memories are from when she was ill so it's lovely to have. Anyhow everything I've kept has got a home, there is a pile of stuff for a charity shop run later this week, and regrettably some stuff has had to go in the bin
3 Conversation with OH "shall I get J to do his English homework?, Me "great, thanks". Minute later OH walks in, picks up his glass of wine and says "I am just going to watch the Inbetweeners with him" :rotfl: that went well then!
4 OH cooked lovely sausage casserole for tea
5 OH and I watched TV together, a grand designs where they were converting an old cinema. I started a new knitting project
Have a lovely days allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Hearing a visiting colleague greet my neighbour with their trademark "Boo!" - nice to see the vertical takeoff hasn't changed a bit.
Biting into a fresh apple after a meeting so unhelpful that I wanted to take a lump out of something.
Looking at a snap of all three lads in uniform before school - I gather it was not an easy shot & that all three subjects were somewhat unwilling, but they look *wonderful* - so smart & handsome & making me so proud.
Eating a sandwich I made myself for lunch. Nothing exotic or exciting, but at just gone six am I reckon making & remembering to bring it with me is enough.
Receiving another armful of science fiction magazines as a colleague is chivvied through decluttering. He's finding it all a bit abraisive, so my delight helps take some of the sting out.
Hugs all round to all as need them!0 -
Todays are :-
1. Pre preparing tea for tonight so all I have to do is put it back in the oven.
2. a sneaky afternoon nap
3. Snugging up on the sofa with the children when they got home from school
4. Sorting out a a big pile of bits and pieces to give to charity
5. Doing some baking for school snacks0
