Oh PK caravan shopping, one of my fave things. I went browsing with MiL when we decided to change ours, walked into one and knew we had to have it. Phoned OH "fancy a blue sprite?" ( well he's had worse offers!:rotfl:) and he said buy it so I did. We love it.
What a lovely day you seem to have had DD, glad to hear it
Kittikins, I discovered about 30 loo roll holders in my dads bathroom, behind the laundry basket. Gawd knows why
Chicken - carbonara?
For today
Went to see dad. He ok, seemed quite tired and a bit forgetful but wasn't maudlin. Had yummy lunch but little bro had got norovirus so hoping I haven't caught it - or dad. So cos of that I didn't go to MiL on way home so have had an evening to myself. Though I've been a bit bored.
Good journeys and warm sunshine in Kent
On way back, train doors had just closed at one station, when a young guy came racing onto platform "oh I don't believe it" said he, victor Meldrew style. Guard opened a door and let him on. At terminus, young lad sought out guard and thanked him profusely. There! You don't get much more OS than that.
Good FB conversations tonight, so not been too lonely. Normally like evenings alone but feeling a bit under the weather myself (was before I saw brother) and couldn't be bothered to do stuff
Family back soon, tho they are bringing 4 boxes of stuff that have been in MiLs loft for 10 years:eek:
Night allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
DD - I am literallyfalling over with exhaustion!
Here are my pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Archaeology! A lot of filling in context sheets today (describing graves) and helping 2 very pleasant A level students.
3) Popped to see mum and dad for a cup of tea after finishing in the churchyard.
4) A man used my dissertation to do some research into his family tree and gave me a box of chocolates to say thank you!
5) School friend phoned and will pop over tomorrow.
6) Phoned sons after tea (at their father's this weekend) and they were OK.
7) Booked tickets for the new "Planes" film in half term. Hope this suits smaller son with his Cars obsession. Used our half price vouchers to get the tickets. Also booked us in for their open day next Friday for a thorough explore. Scroll down past the map on the link and you will see why we want to look round!

Hello, I'm sitting in my office ( companionably alongside OH) listening to the blackbirds and collared doves singing and the noisy magpies chattering.
It has been a pleasant day, cooler start but was warm enough when we were in the garden earlier , it's now starting to cool down again.
Today we have:
Had a Sunday scone and a read through the papers ..all full of election news.
Popped into Aldi for loo roll and eggs and fruit.
Treated myself to some flowers, I've not bought flowers in at least 6 weeks....but now I'm a working woman again can justify them! Bought lilies and rtc carnations.
Went to b and q type store and bought more mulch for the garden and 2 more lavender plants....I had read that spiders don't like lavender...so some at front door and some at back door!
We then gardened for a few hours, we just have so much to do and so much wasn't done last year when OH was ill....anyway, we hope to get on top of things this spring . DD2 planted the veg seeds and I planted some tomato plants , all different varieties .
OH and I went for a wander and returned books etc to library, took some cash out of bank...to pay DD2 whom I had bribed to tidy up for me and plant seeds...money well spent I reckon as she is very thorough!
Bought tomato plants at our local hardware store and got 2 new keys cut so we all have one now....no excuses to be locked out of house! Mine is a lovely purple colour
We stopped at our new local cafe which we discovered last weekend, 2 older ( than me !) ladies are running it and are very friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed a fruit crumble/ tart / slice cake ! We shared it!
Home and planted toms, swept up ...again! The possums run amok in the garden at night and through the trees so branches and twigs are all over the place ...as well as their poo! My car is once again clean and shiny ( it is parked under the tree) thanks to a lovely husband!
So a lovely day off. The blackbirds are singing their socks off! Such a lovely sound and as I've said before one that reminds me of home.
Need to go and iron uniforms for school....yawn!
Enjoy your day0 -
After all the build up, it ended up like a Damp Squid the big match between BoP and DD
5 Just had loadsa beans on marmite infested toast washed down with a hot cup of tea. And big fat Cat always washes off the Tom Sauce as well!
4 Just read my Sunday Papaers, with Jam incrusted toasts and I note that the Mad Monk has been given the job in Aussie Land. And seeing that they are also 1 down as well. TMS is beaing streamed onto the yard. Wobbleades a go go
3 Time today to enjoys the Yellow Things Ms BoP has just picked the Plums off the tree. Thinks steamed sponge is on the way. Yes, gots me fingers encrusted into some flour and butter. Spotted Dicks done. Thinks me favourite. Lumpy Custards
2 gether with Ms BoP we has made and steaming them Spotted Dicks. Made this week with real butter, sultanas and orange.
1 Drop the matter before it eats you up with anger. It is not that important to others.0 -
