  • Evening all :) Caterina - great news about your results :) :j

    My 5 for today:

    1. DS sleeping in his cot until 1.45am, allowing me and DH the evening together in peace plus a few hours for cuddles and sleep. We'll get there in the end with our Tombiliboo, he just can't bear to be parted from his mummy :D

    2. Getting the bathroom cleaned, 2 loads of washing done and the cupboard under the sink cleared out.

    3. A top i won on ebay arriving in the post :)

    4. My mam, dad and sis coming for tea tonight, we had our pancake day today because my dad was working late last night. Ds was full of himself showing off at building with his duplo.

    5. A nice sit down now with a glass of wine and catching up with the days threads etc

Looking forward to tomorrow as DD and I are going to the cinema and to McD's for dinner as a treat for half term. My mam is having DS so just girls, i try to set aside time just for me and DD as DS is so demanding on my time so i'm looking forward to it, can't believe how fast she is growing up.

    Evening all...

I am a very sleepy Ladyhawk tonight... it's been a long day...

    1) Up early to get the train into London. Just missed one but didn't have to wait too long for the next one, and got a seat, and it was the v fast train, so was in the office by 8.20am.

    2) Free lunch!! We had a 4 hour meeting today and they provided sandwiches, crisps and fruit.

    3) Went for a brief walk in the gorgeous spring sunshine after the meeting with one of my colleagues. I always feel so naughty with him - we are like kids that are cutting class because the sun is shining!

    4) Got my ski boots adjusted. I have very narrow ankles so it's difficult to find boots that give enought support. Anyway the kind people on the shop (where I didn't buy them from) put in some foam padding and didn't even charge for the service. I was so impressed as the staff were extremely courteous as well.

    5) Met a friend for a drink and a bite to eat this evening. We had a 241 voucher so the meal only cost is £8.25 in total!!!

    Night night... sleep well

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    1. Getting through another day on the diet without taking the strong painkillers for my sore back and now a stupid knee has come out in sympathy!! I swear my body hates me sometimes.......

    2. Receiving £4 LV for a survey I did and had forgotten all about :)

    3. More "bargains" in Mr T's, I swear tomorrow I'm going to leave my purse at home, but bargains are bargains I suppose..... ;)

    4. A nice evening at a neighbour's putting the world to rights and having a good girly catchup.

    5. Cuddled the other neighbour's new baby, she is GORGEOUS and I feel so, so broody!

    6. The sun came out and for a few hours this afternoon it felt like a summer's day, bliss

Evening everybody  - oh dear rain is falling tonight - hope the temps don't drop low enough for it to freeze as well. DD has just rang - they've got snow in St.Helens (about 4-5 miles away).

mollythewestie - wd on you both joining the Library - great places for all kinds of stuff not just borrowing books - Happy Reading :).
Caterina - What a rotten experience for you too - where on earth do they 'breed' these disrespectful little oiks! Wd on getting publicity for your morsbagging and wtg to your DD for finding ways to earn money for herself :). wtg on the mammogram result :j.
Reverbe - sorry, my mistook about the lack of apology - again it makes you wonder where they dig these assistants up from.
tudorfan22 - wd on reducing your Jan2010 spend compared with Jan 2009 :T.
Margaret54 - wtg on being able to hang laundry out - can't wait for it to get warm enough for that here :).
savingforoz - wd on the lentil pate - going off for a hunt for the recipe - thanks :).
zarazara - hope you have a great weekend with your DS2 back home :j.
Patchwork - wd on clearing your craft cupboard AND on using vouchers for your meal out :T.
Carolynita - lol at your breakfast guests :rotfl:.

nuttybabe - wd on the great baking session :T.
bella - wtg on such a great weekend with your grandchildren - sounds as though they love being with you both .
Tealady - mmmm free choccie samples while shopping - can't be bad ;).
scotrae - wow - who would believe that you could cut £15 off a week's parking costs just by changing your car park - wd :j.
budgeteer - how lovely to turn the tv off and just enjoy the silence - wd on your crocheting and good luck with the throw.
CCP - wtg on finding the remaining books of the series - hope you enjoy them all :).
mineallmine - great idea to keep a supply of food in your drawer at work - helps to avoid buying takeout lunches :T.
lilmisskitkat - wd to little Tombliboo on sleeping for at least PART of the night ;) - hope you and DD enjoy your evening out.
Ladyhawk - what a long day - hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.
Kittikins - now now! You're not supposed to get broody after losing all that weight - pregnancy quite defeats the object of the whole thing ;).

    Mine for today:

    1. Quiet day in work - all subdued after one of the ladies died last week. I don't like having to collect for flowers/Mass Cards. We have a lovely lady who lives local who does flowers for weddings, funerals etc, so I've ordered from her. She's doing them for the family as well, so will deliver ours at the same time. £20 so the remainder of the money will pay for a Mass Card.

    2. Phone call from DD, would I collect her money from the Credit Union and ask OH to take it up to her house. I returned her CU Card with the money, that'll make her HAVE to do it herself next week - she needs her asre kicking into gear now!

    3. Also took the opportunity to 'take a lunchbreak' and visit the supermarket - oooooooooo lots of lovely whoopsies with my name on them! Not yet worked out how much it would have come to IF I'd paid full price for everything, but the only item full price was the Rump Steak for our evening meal tonight (pay day treat)! Great checkout guy - did a brill job of packing my bags :T. Lots of veggies - broccoli, 'mangey tuts' (mange touts), runner beans, sliced green beans, whole young french beans, parsnips and stew packs - all prepped and frozen as well as mushrooms, baby yellow plum toms, vine ripened toms, lychees and lemons.

    4. Our local women's/children's wear shop (Ethel Austin) is supposedly closing down altogether, so went in to look for some bargains. Got 2prs of slippers for Christmas pressies, a lovely bra for £4 (difficult to get 44DD ) and 3pks of briefs to put away for my hols ;).

    5. Evening meal of grilled Rump Steak with sauteed red onions, sliced peppers and mushrooms with a dollop of Sweet Chilli Dipping Sauce stirred through -

That's me done for this evening. Hope everybody has a good sleep and look forward to reading more pleasures tomorrow. Nitey nite - love Ollie xxx.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Very late again tonight, fell asleep watching a film so I'll have to watch again tomorrow to see how it ended!

    1. Watching a picture/mirror on ebay for the past 4 days, it was £49.99 BIN or bids. I guessed it would have a reserve but put a 99p bid during the last 2 mins anyway, and much to my surprise and delight I won :T
    2. Gloriously warm sunshine around midday and still light at 6pm when I eventually put the light on. I don't think we'll be getting the forecast snow after all :D
    3. Got a quote for car insurance for £60 less than I'm paying now plus £40 cashback, and that's putting DD on it as an extra driver too :j
    4. Went through a cashback site offering £35 if I put £20 in and gambled it. Made a bit of a mess of it so I don't know it it will track - if yes it's a bonus of £15, if no it'll teach me to leave these things to peeps who know what they're doing :o. Don't you feel that some of us just aren't destined to make easy money?!
    5. The big tidy up continues, DM and DB were supposed to be visiting but DB's radiator has a leak so he has to get it fixed before they make the journey up here. Not happy they couldn't come (especially as DB was going to take us out for lunch ;)) but it gives me some extra time to do something about this mess I call home...

Night night (((hugs))) everybody, stay safe

    3. Yummy spicy lentil soup for lunch with a homemade roll.

    4. Swapping more messages with potential dates.

    5. Cuddles with purring cats when I was tucked up under the duvet.

    Have a good day, everyone!

    1. Seeing the scales say 9.13 - woo hoo - 9 thats 9 anything is such a boost to my morale.
    2. Getting out in the garden to do some tidying up - wonderful 3 hours ....
    3. Going for a run with my friend before our aerobics class - 3 1/2 miles in the cool evening air - great endorphines!
    4. Yummy chicken casserole, veggies and baked potatoes my OH had cooked for my return from said aerobics class
    5. Did I mention that the scales said 9.13??!!!

Today is going to be a NSD - making soup, on CFR duty, sorting through frumpy clothes ready for a CS drop tomorrow.

Afternoon all  - brrrr a chilly day here today with a very thick frost first thing this morning.

sparrer - wd on winning your E-bay auction - very cheeky last minute bid there ;). Hope the car insurance works out via the Cashback Site :).
budgeteer - thanks for you comment - I've got a method that normally works quite well, till I do something really stupid (usually out of late night tiredness OR early morning stupor ;)) and then lose the entire post - now that makes me hairpull.gif!
savingforoz - sorry to hear you weren't feeling 100% - hope it soon passes. Your no.5 is something that we're still really missing - nearly a year since Tiggy-Tiger was pts :(.
Meg's mum - wd on getting below the '10 barrier' :j:j (couple of star jumps to help you even further on your way ;)). Great idea to get rid of the 'frumpy clothes' as you drop sizes - make sure they're out of the way NEVER to be seen again .

Ok then, lunch break over now, back to work for me - speak again later - love Ollie xxx
