    Morning all

A quick five before I run round like a mad thing preparing DD birthday party. Never again, I tell you :p

    1. Breakfast on the patio with OH in the sunshine
    2. Pottering around the kitchen making cupcakes for teenagers to decorate
    3. I have written the second of my lectures for local tourist attraction. I am delivering it tomorrow, just have some tarting up of it to do :D
    4. DS had a lovely day out with his mate. I am sure some will question us allowing him to go, but he has been able to talk it over with his sensible mate and feels calmer and more resigned to his punishment. He wants to write a letter to the victim, so we are going to help him. We have also written a letter to school explaining the background of his uncles death and why J would have been so upset by the boys words.
    5. DD's play was fab and she was v good - certainly held her own in the much higher standard group than she has been in before. One boy, though, in the play before hers was brilliant! he seemed older than the others, so I'm hoping he was drafted in. He was like a professional.

So, the dreaded party is today and jellies are setting as I type. See you on the other side

Another couple of turns and it would had been split knackers!
In Absentia, popping cherries from the tree. Nest has been a bit uncovered this weekend.

    5 for the Weekend

5 Big Beard Breakfast of 3 snorkers, smoked back, spag hoops, mushrooms and poached egg. Washed down with lemon juice and cat.

4 Splooooshed the cat this morning, stupid thing gets in the way when you are dripping, so he got sploshed. Did he move, not. Has adopted his summer mode, not moving. Saw off another intruder though.

3 Pumping up Ms Whack's tyres. She likes to ride hard, but suffers about blowing the tyres up. So that is her bike sorted again, for the week.

2 gether with Ms Whack and ...

1 Don't forget to reduce the house work to a minimum by abolishing all unnecessary polishing of metal, washing of curtains and sweeping of carpets.

Welcome to Newbies, beard rubs to all

    Good morning all !

    Mhagster - good luck xxxx

VJsmum- I had a feeling your DS would "internalise" it all after the event . No one should judge you about the Alton Towers trip . Whats right for you is well.. right. Lets face it,he doesn't sound the sort to go out mugging old ladies any time soon .. seems like a line was crossed by DS and the person/s who made the innapropriate comments. Not that I have kids mind you, but I did get into a few scraps at Senior School when provoked.....

Sparrer - glad you had a good time. I am with you on the second hand pets front - we always end up having feathered or furry ones that no one wants.

    5 for yesterday

    1. Picking what seems like the almost the last of the strawb. crop.

    2. Eating peas from the pod - getting mugged by the hens who love them.

    3.Eating lunch in the garden

    4. Taking the terrier to the park in the late evening with OH.

    5.Afternoon snooze.

Have a lovely day all !

  • My five for the weekend;

    1. Family bbq yesterday, LOTS of yummy food and good company and the thunder storm passed over us rather than falling on top of us!

    2. Relaxed weekend with OH.

    3. Just updated my blog with my favourite post so far.

    4. Found a bargain parasol for the garden furniture meaning tonight's tea is al fresco.

    5. Ian the dogs adoration for his new toy. He has slept with it in his mouth for the last two nights!

    Oooh me again ^ :p

Hello OT . How are the horses?

    5 for today

    1. Walk in the park whilst cool enough to do so.

    2. Bedding and towels freshly laundered. Is it me or does anyone else look for stuff to wash and dry on the line when the weather is like this ?!

    3. Fake bake on legs - smell of old biscuits now. Arms naturally brown as have always been exposed to the elements - legs get a bit moley so will keep 'em out of sun.DSis and Dad both had skin cancers removed from their faces. DSis. was very young too.

4.Snooze in chair in garden after having read about two pages of my book :rotfl:with my legs up the side of the shed wall . Sounds weird but is soo comfy. Don't worry I didn't scare Britain I did have jeans on !

5.Grazed all day. Not in mood for a big meal . Peas from pod, ice cream and a few chips will suffice today.

have a good evening all !

    1. Sunshine :):)

    2. Great church this morning

    3. A big thank you to the person who handed in my mobile after I lost it in M&$ :)

    4. DD and I went to a brilliant park for a picnic lunch and she dragged me on to the outdoor gym equipment :)

    5. Took a detour and went to the beach - in Hove actually, lol. We even found free parking! DD swam in her dress and I paddled a bit and then watched her.

    6. Stopped off to finish the rest of our picnic for dinner in our village park, hoorah, no cooking all day!

P.S. GOOD LUCK MHAGSTER xx Will be crossing my fingers and toes that your interview goes brilliantly
