No, that was the state of the bathroom floor! As I said, there were problems!Back after a very long break!0 -
1. Sunshine (sorry, don't get bored of typing it!)
2. Fabulous day at work - my replacement has been hired, and she is the person who came second to me when I was given the job, so that's a relief! She was really lovely and tbh I was surprised that they didn't hire her first time round, but I'm so glad they took me onI feel relieved now that I'm not leaving them in the lurch.
3. A lovely lady from church popped over for a natter and is going to take our 2 sofas off our hands when we know when we're off, hoorah!
4. I've sorted out yet more stuff! I know, it's like the magic porridge pot, never ending stuff, but I will get there by jingo, I will!!
5. Lovely lovely lovely cuddles with DD
6. Day off work tomorrow, woohoo! to watch DD's sports day and hopefully sort out more bits and pieces. Looking forward to a lie-in and taking DD up to school0 -
Happy St Swithans day you all. Now that means day after day after day after day after day of Yellow thing. So those oh wanted turned down, tuff.
Looks like the worlds not been good this weekend. Mans discord against man in the US. Swimmers and charity. Oh well, all I need is the tweed skirted social worker, and I will put the world to rights.
Apart from all that, no p,erasure today as away from Ms Whacks. She is doing something with nettles.0 -
OS pleasures
All this sunlight stuff. (Staying covered to avoid burning.)
Laundry on the line!!! Getting dry! Novelty in this corner of the valley.
All herb seedlings over 2" high planted out. All teeny plants in incubator potted on.
Nurse pleased with how husband's foot is healing, so all my dashing round like a madwoman is working & he's not overdoing it & he hasn't (yet) got any secondary infection. I'm almost ready to go with the blind, but he's mending - this works for me!
Explorer Scout picnic tonight in pleasant weather, with a happy huddle of young chaps gathered and eating Everything in sight. Mine now knows how to make macaroni cheese, starting with a proper white sauce & adding cheese & macaroni (&, in his case, bacon.)0 -
Flowers are looking wonderful.
Animals enjoying cuddles
Received a few calls about jobs but none sound like the one yet.
HM curry and chips for tea0 -
Hello everyone:) sadly not too many pleasures over the last few days. So much pain went to doc's today, would seem I have a lump where the yellow thing don't shine and have to go for urgent scan:( My dad died of cancer, my mum had cancer, my aunt died of it and other aunt got over it.
1. No appetite so I'm losing weight:)
2. Got a doc's appointment same day I rang!
3. OH walked the dog and has offered to do washingup!!
I'm scared:( but think positive, maybe its just a stuck gooseberry:o2013 NSD 100. CC2014CC- £31.50/£1352014 NSD 86 so far - May 20/212014 G/C spend £741.55 so far May £107.99/£91Debt Free - 30.05.13 Emergency tin - £1000June 23 - 9NSD0 -
Oh sweetie, that's rough
Being scared is natural and I'm praying, sending reiki, love and healing thoughts your way that the scan will show a minor problem that can be sorted swiftly xx

Lovefullshelves - sorry to hear that. Do you have a date for your scan? Glad you got in quickly to see the doctor today and you can have lots of good wishes from me too.
Here are my pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Another load of washing dry on the line and 30 degrees again today!
3) Sons had good days at school. Bigger son's science project culminated in everyone letting of pressurised water rockets on the field. Smaller son made "squashed fly biscuits" so he was happy.
4) Took my brother to get a new washer for the tap he is fitting to the outside of his barn conversion. I asked him if he needed to take his tap with him - he said no. (There is a point to including that sentence, coming up!)
5) After going to the agricultural engineers about the tap washer, I popped up to do a geocache in a church in that village. Brother had not done one before and was fascinated! I said that was only 1 star for difficulty and 1 for terrain and he was a bit shocked and asked what a 5 star cache looks like. When I said they involved swimming, canoeing or using climbing ropes, he was a bit stunned!
6) Driving back from the church, brother realised he was holding not only the new tap washer but the TAP THEY HAD USED TO DEMONSTRATE HOW TO FIT IT!! So he was very embarrased to go back in again and give them their tap back. :-D
7) Quick game of table tennis.
8) Dusted and tidied the living room, even moving the piano to do behind there (still bits of mistletoe under it).
9) Sister came round for a cup of tea and she is getting married next Easter!
ETA
10) The wasp man came this morning so now more wasps in my loft.
11) Lord High Emperor of the council is phoning tomorrow about smaller son's school place. Really quite anxious about it. As dad said today, if they seriously can't find an asd place for him, they'll have to get him a governess!0 -
Congrats to your sister Frith, lovely news0
