Oh Mhags - the Kangaroos sound wonderful. I don't think I would tire of seeing them either. The in laws went to Oz for a month a few years back and, despite the driving thousands of miles, didn't see a wild one at all (apart from a dead one at the side of the road :()
Love that you had 10 pleasures CCP- and really lovely OS ones.

Quiet here yesterday - everyone must have been out getting some yellow

    Yesterday's pleasures

    1. weeding and general tidying of the garden, in the sunshine
    2. Lunch comprised of salad with home grown beetroot, radishes and lettuce (amongst other things) and left over cheese and lentil loaf. I've never grown beetroot before and it was delicious
    3. barbeque at friends' house - always delicious food and fantastic company. Love them loads.
    4. Their wonderful garden - again with bountiful roses. I have about 3 roses on each of 3 bushes in my garden. But then mine get whacked with a football at 100 mph quite regularly :rotfl:
    5. Being able to wear my Joe Brown's wrap style dress, which is a bit boho chic but too thin to wear often in this country.

More chores today, but hopefully mostly outside. May catch some tennis. Have a lovely day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Warning! This post could make you happy!

YELLOW THING is UP and RUNNING

See, now do not forgets your sun lotion. If you need a beard hug to rub it in, I am available at a special discount.

5 Lottery paid out again, 45 pints of wobbleades. Liquidated. Please keep it away from Ms Whack, otherwise it will be hosiery.

4 Cat has flopped out and has adopted his summer mode, window sill, hot and not shifting. And to think, why is that cats cannot eat sausages? Bacon scraps, he demolishes. Sausages, just pads around the yard.

3 Did them Lions roar yestdi. Now we need a mint addition and then bring on them Aussies for another pasting in the cricket.

2 gether with Ms Whack for another sugglesSunday. Just thinking if Ms Whack had not enticed her BoP, would she be on the shelf?

1 Do not dress badly, even if your money is small. Or in the case of Ms Whack, cut down on the amount of cloth.

BoP Yang will eat sausages, in fact he'll eat anything except cucumber. Curry, apple, cheese, omelette etc, it all goes down but cucumber is basically water which he drinks a lot of, so I just don't get it

    1. Yellow thing (If I hear one more person say it's too hot I'll scream! Compared to rain, cold, etc, we get this a few days a year so get over it :p)
    2. Went a beautiful bronze colour overnight. My granddad got a melanoma from being in the sun too much so I take it in small doses, and a bottle of Dove instant as a nightcap :D
    3. Little White Pet rose is just smothered in buds, probably 50 or more! Peace rose is just coming into bloom, as is the Fellowship one I bought recently
    4. Emptied a potato sack, gave DNeighbour a bowlful of lovely new spuds with skins that just rub off, plus a few more strawbs for her DD
    5. Gave a donation to Help for Hero's (one of my few fav charities) outside Mr A and was given my first ever rubber band 'bracelet'.

Enjoy the sunshine, keep feeding the meter! :)

I was too hot to sleep, hence my very early post.......did manage to go back after a little while, but had to be up and dressed by 8am when our friends G and daughter S came over to do a car boot sale :)

DD has also informed me that she will be asking to sleep in my bed every night until we move, as she's conscious that when I'm at uni, I won't want to share my bed as I'll be studying too hard, bless her!

    1. SUNSHINE

    2. Made just over £100 profit today - despite it being so hot you could fry an egg (probably) on the car bonnet and people being a wee bit stroppy at my prices.....really?!?!! 50p for seven rolls of electrical tape and you want to haggle me down to 10p? Jog on....but he didn't, he stumped up, silly man!

    3. DD and S are now squealing around by our paddling pool, I'm hiding from the heat and watching Wimbledon.

    4. Planning on doing one more car boot sale next weekend - if I can get out of doing caf! team at church! As per last time, I managed to get from 2 full cars to bringing one carload back. Yay, more 'treasures' to other people :)

    5. 2 carrot loaves are baking nicely in the oven, in readiness for next Saturday's party, nomnom....

    Good afternoon all !

Been MIA as internet cut off off by err .. "Speak Speak " cos I haven't paid the bill as there was a fault that cut off all of our local phone lines for a month or so .. no service.. no lucre .. Plus they kept texting OH to say it would be back on next week, then not on etc etc .OH "sorted it" and will get compensation for his huge mobile bill during that time.

    your pleasures ..:D

Sparrer- you made it ! It sounded fun too;) He can now be called "Top Bloke" instead of the seriel killer for that . Is he a window cleaner VJsmum said he was;) :rotfl:My ex took up the ukelele (sp) when we split up ..could it be him ??

mhagsters amish daughter , that did make me laugh

VJsmum- gotta recipe for that lentil and cheese loaf or a linky please?? Sounds nice

    3. OH working :D No men under my feet all day and a tidier house - Joy !

Welcome back once again chicken, tell chatter chatter to get their act together! TB is very nice, but as for being your ex does he also play piano and guitar, love cooking and have a ginormous telescope for astrology? (Oh my, just thought - whatever would I do if you said yes?!!!)

Thank you BoP, I just love spotty !!!!!! and lumpy custard :D

I know I don't need to but can I just remind everybody to put highest possible factor sunblock on their white/light coloured cats and dogs ears and noses. They're very prone to sunburn, blistering and even skin cancer in this hot weather. I know they try to lick it off again but you just have to Percy Vere. Asbo (latest nickname for Yang the Terrible) won't come in, he sits on the garden wall where I can't reach him, dopey cat.

    1. Has to be the yellow thing. Keep feeding the meter BoP you're doing a stirling job (and it'sgood for my bellows :))
    2. Just realised, I left the garden centre on Thursday without buying anything! A pleasure, or not? TBA...
    3. Usual Sunday out to lunch, had a chicken and avocado salad which was quite tasty. Apple pie and ice cream to follow, but they didn't have any custard  and had run out of cream  Serves us right for not getting there til almost 3pm
    4. At risk of repeating myself, Andy won - it's a beautiful day!
    5. So far only used half a tank of petrol and done almost as many miles as I would have on a full tank in the old car.
    6. I know I'm not going until Wednesday but am already getting excited about seeing DS, his partner and the children

Have a good rest of the evening :)

    eta - I think I meant astronomy!
