Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Aww, hugs PK, if it's not too warm for such things!

    1) This was out in flower when I got up this morning:

    51e79afa-6622-4ec2-8d50-96cc3eb636f6_zps9948357f.jpg

    2) Not very OS, but bought a new, summer-weight duvet after a miserable night's sleep last night (I was way too warm with the normal duvet over me, but shivering horribly without it :().

    3) Mooched round the shops at lunchtime looking, without success, for a particular style of skirt, then found one on the internet when I got back, reduced from £45 to £17 in a sale. :money:

    4) Ridiculuously quiet day at work so I spent most the afternoon reading the Girl Called Jack blog - I bet I'll pay for that tomorrow with an avalanche of emails!

    5) Watering the garden and seeing how everything's shooting up in this warm spell - I'll get some decent HG veg this year with a bit of luck. :)
Back after a very long break!

PK - sorry to hear about your Kindle.

CCP - I love the Girl Called Jack blog.

Here are my pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Did a couple of hours on my dissertation (just tweaking it. Wrote it in 1996 but it is local history so people keep looking at it and I wanted to smarten it up a bit).

    3) Helped dad apply for a Green Deal grant for their solar panels.

    4) Had lunch at mum and dad's.

    5) Spoke to county council and parent partnership at great length and smaller son's statement of SEN is almost finished. They are (allegedly) posting me the draft today. As this is what they said last Monday, I shan't hold my breath!

    6) Smaller son's school phoned to say he has a swollen finger. Good to see they are paying attention and noticing little things! He got home and he does indeed have a joint in his middle finger that is massive compared with his other hand. He's had some frozen peas on it for a few hours, don't know if there is something stuck in it.

    7) Had a chat with MrN. Only in his suit today, no diving equipment or clown costume!

    8) Smaller son finished reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on his kindle (sorry, PK). The only lengthy book he has ever completed. He's only had the kindle for a week! He's moved onto one of the Alex Rider books now. Bigger son is reading Alex Rider #4 in his bunk as I type.

    9) Looking forward to ISIHAC later.

ETA - 10) Sweet peas are flowering! I don't always have a lot of luck with them but looking OK so far.

    3) one of our party forgot the sand under the disposable bbq would be hot and put his hands on the sand. Sausage sizzle ensued :-( so i took him to a &e where
    4) i managed to keep him cheerful as his wounds were snipped and dressed
    5) p came and picked us and wounded soldier's car up as he couldnt drive with his dressings and i wasnt insured for his car. His stepdad camd to take him home to mum. Burns unit this morning and may need skin graft

    Good morning all !

PK - what rotten luck ! :( Bliddy thieves

LFS- you can't get a tan in your bedroom you know- unless its out of a bottle or you have a sunbed in there ;) No problem with the outdoor shepherdess jaunt - I am/was a horsey girl and have eaten more poo , and the use of an alfresco bathroom was usually more preferable to yard/racecourse ones.

Dundee - oh dear ! My friends toddler sat on one on the beach - stripey botty and all that -poor kid.

missmoneysave - sweet blog ! I think saw the behind of Ian the dog ? I love where you live , good luck to you and yours .

have a good day all - I read a quote that said "most people know that work is the least interesting thing they do " I couldn't agree more ..another fun packed day in the office then..

    Yoohoo!
The pleasure was walking out of work today, within half an hour of being in managers company he had confirmed and re-enforced my decision to leave was a good one!! ( have just re- read that....i walked out at home time not in a huff!)

'twas payday :) another $200 in the pot for my holiday cottage at Christmas.

I checked and I will get my parking permit reimbursed when I leave.

    Making bologneise for dinner.

Cold and frosty start to the day....scraped the ice of my car this morning but its brightened into a beautiful sunny day , not warm but pretty!

There I managed to squeeze 5 pleasures. Have a lovely Tuesday and enjoy the sun:)
