Come in ampersand, your out time is over!

PK really sorry to hear about your Kindle. Some people want hanging, drawing and quartering
CCP I love your yellow flower. Another Jack fan here, her blog is a really good read
DD OUCHIE!!! Poor friend, hope his hands recover without too much pain. The spotty !!!!!! has to have lumpy custard but if you're offering cream I'll have mine clotted please
BoP yum stuffed chook, people don't seem to do stuffing much these days but I love it. Umm,that doesn't sound right...?
Chicken you made me :rotfl: re the ginormous telescope

    1. have vac'd and dusted through and done stairs, now coffee time then going to tackle the lawn
    2. DGD1 came in to go through pet food etc, her brother, DGS3, will come over to keep her company one evening and her OH another so she won't be on her own very much.
    3. DNeighbour's DD is going to water the garden for me, if I can find her an unusual keyring while I'm away it will add to her collection (of hundreds!).
    4. DD's dogs wiped the board at the E of E show, again. I don't seem to say much about her and the dogs because it's always just more of the same! Very proud of her though :)
    5. Has to be the yellow thing, making the most of it before 'someone' turns the meter off ;)

    Enjoy your day :)

    Quick post ... TY all.

    1. "Dr Christian" aka DS, had a wonderful long weekend in Edinburgh, a stag, he hadn't been since he was quite small - I have, and kept telling him how good it was. He gets it now.

    2. My new rotary line supplied as a freebie by Amazon is now up thanks to DS and his best mate. Will test soon as it's not windy.

    3. This isn't OS but picking up new lappy later and fibre-optic goes in tomorrow. This means I can properly use the You View box Amazon gave me to review, had to set it up temporarily and review based on that.
At the moment I can't use it fully because the stupid expletive existing router only has one suitable port, which is needed for the Net.

    4. Sporting triumphs, 10 Welshmen in Lions starting XV, :j and young Andy; a good weekend to be Welsh with a Scottish surname and family links.

    5. Financial niggly worries much lifted by an experience similar to KK's - having had no disabled person's working tax credit for half of the 12-13 tax year when I should have, I got a sizeable sum paid in last week. They made me wait until now because I may have earned a humungous amount between Oct and end March and ended up owing them instead. Pfrt.

One credit card paid off, another much reduced and still cash spare for some good things. Like new laptops.

Edit Yellow thing of course!!! :j

Thank you for the compliments on my blog, i'm really enjoying writing it.

    My five for today/yesterday.

    1. Started unpacking in my craft room/shed, it was like xmas opening up all the boxes and I got lots of flashes of fresh inspiration.

    2. Bike ride yesterday evening-haven't been on a bike since I was a litttle un. Both a scary and exhilarating experience and a good workout, by 'eck do I ache!

    3. Pottering about kind of day, some washing done and a meal plan drawn up for the next three weeks, I've missed having a plan.

    4. Lunch with the family.

    5. Considering having ice cream as my fifth pleasure today  need to chill out after all this yellow

One pleasure to share with Ampersand:
I just ordered Henning Wehn's new DVD. :) It will make up somewhat for not getting to see him live.
Also on there, short films directed by Marek Larwood. I really like Marek's comedy, so that should be good.

    1) Painted my toenails for the first time since I started having problems with my foot, best part of two years ago. The colour? Bright yellow, of course! ;)

    2) Returned a pair of shoes I bought online and which didn't fit, and found another pair which did fit and which cost £11 less. :money:

    3) Reverbed a penny.

    4) Received a phone call from the hotel DM and I are staying at next weekend, saying that they'd messed up the bookings (that wasn't how they put it, but it was the gist of things!) and would we accept single rooms rather than doubles in exchange for complimentary breakfasts. I'm now wondering how many complimentary bacon sarnies I can manage to eat... ;)

    5) Booked the train tickets for the journey, using a £10 off voucher I got from the MSE site some months ago. :money:

    Have a good evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

    Good evening all !

I agree "Jacks" is great and writes beautifully.
Sparrer -:T to your DD !

VJsmum - thank you , I shall look forward to making it. The terrier decides who she wants to be with a bit like the Marquis of Bath (beardy chap with "wifelets" is this the right fella??) Very bohemian indeed.

mhagster - how many weeks left??Not long now surely?

    5 for today

    1. Work ok

    2. OH has his mug shot spread over front page of some local property newspaper . He sent it to me at work . Still looks like Martin Shaw- Judge John Deed/Doyle in the Professionals but with very short hair . I always fancied Bodey in those days tbh ;)

    3.6 eggs today! Clever girls.

    4. Took the terrier in woods - nice and cool.

    5. Booked a few days leave to coincide with DM's knee Op. in September so I can do daughterly stuff and all that.

Have a lovely evening all !

Inspired by someone on here I looked up the Jack blog and loved it.

No joy on my kindle hunt, starting to accept it’s stolen, as I remember thinking I don’t leave the bag open but thought nothing of it. Feel a bit lost as I do 2 hours a day with the commute on that, going to have a look for a 2nd hand on the auction site, - pfft may be buying mine back lol….:rotfl:

    1. Work done not in usual office.:D
    2. Back a tiny bit earlier.
    3. Sweet chilli chicken wraps for dinner in a bit.
    4. The weather has to feature.
    5. Animal cuddles of course, far cheaper than therapy.:o
    6. Applied for some jobs.:)

Note wrong with a decent stuffing, that's what I say!

Who is this Jack Girl? Is she some super tart maker or something. I will give her a rub of my beard if I have my way.

And this Dr Christian. BoP if much nicer, cooler. Butter will not melt in my mouth.

Make the most of Yellow thing as it will only end in rain!

No pleasures as away from Ms Whack

Blimey Chicken, you've kept your hunky hubby under wraps eh?! So now there are 3, sorry BoP, 4 men linked to the thread to make us gals hot under the collar - Dr C, the Officer Telescope, Martin 'chicken' Shaw and BoP, tee hee!

    1. Sunshine again :)

    2. Quiet day at work, so spent most of it looking at the KS1/KS2 new science curriculum.....am I weird? (Please don't answer that.....I really enjoyed it and I'm not much of a scientist :) )

    3. YS yummy bread

    4. My attempt to ward off snow this winter by buying ski gloves so I could make snowballs if I want to without getting soggy hands' gloves arrived today and are gorgeous :) Roll on a heatwave over winter :)

    5. Fab time at local farm/play place with Rainbows :) My penultimate time of being with them *sob*

    and more.........

    6. Have given away my garden furniture and tools to friends we had dinner with last night. The garden is looking a bit bare, but oh well, we like sitting on a towel on the grass, and it'll only be for a few weeks! Slowly but surely the house and garden are emptying.
