5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

1. Started the day with this one on Freecycle:
'wanted out of date peanut butter to catch rats with in cambridge'
2. Glad you're safe home with MersThwack bop. Fear you're right with ' But I see not to start it today.' But maybe a Lions' victory will feel sortakinda same? Might go to the Alma again, for rip-roaring atmosphere if rien d'autre. Lay extra places for dinner too, please. Sounds yum.
3. Words with baby robin. No more munch of blue periwinkle flowers please. He/She's turning my flowering tricolore pot into an English one and that will never do...[stir, stir]
4. Was surprised by Hugh Laurie in DID yesterday:

5. Finding myself thinking 'Good, Compline again this Wednesday'. The month has passed fast.
6. Friend's last minute postponed surgery from 6 June went ahead yesterday. Recovery room still, longer than anticipated, but all seems well thus far.
Off on the rounds again, ripe for No More Plants. No More Books. Need to start on next week's Fair sorting. Dry needed, if not yellow thing.. It's not just here:

1. Day off
2.Colleague brought the cake round that DM had asked for for my DBros 50th . It's a green snare drum with drumsticks and looks fab.
3. Lent OH some cash to by a car . He needs it for his new job that he will start on Tues. A cheap, practical but actually a rather "clean" automatic estate car. Haggled price down 10 % got a new cam belt MOT and service thrown in .I will be able to drive it too as its an automatic. He did say "why don't you let me have the OGV and you get another car?" .... err no( I said a lot more words that start and end in the letter "F":o) . The OGV is mine why would I buy myself another car so he can use mine ?(hence no pleasures for Thursday). Still that's sorted now.
4. Picked strawbs. from garden . Must be about the 6th punnet.
5. Terrier took me to the park

Afternoon all.
I'm glad you all like my floriferous dahlia.Purple_kitten wrote: »CCP loving the dalia the photo, I love photos on the posts.:)
How about this one, then, another of my RTC bargains (these were 5 for 50p :money:):
You may notice another one as my new avatar - a yellow flower seemed to go better with my signature!
1) The yellow thing has made an appearance, and it's positively warm when it's out!
2) NSD and NPD.
3) Found a free manual online that helped me work out how to get the detergent drawer out of my washing machine for a much-needed clean.
4) Planted out more flowers, and my tomato plants are now in their growbags.
5) Watched some tennis in between gardening efforts - well done, Laura! :T
6) Pulled a 'weed' out of one of the raised beds in the garden and found a new potato on the end! That's what you get for using old potato-growing compost as a mulch, I guess!Back after a very long break!0 -
Fabulous, fabulous colour, ccp - just gorgeous. Give that gal A* on price- are they mimulas? - and on avatar!
Glad I gave Laura a good match, as I really didn't want to beat her. She really does have some Dig Deep stuff of character. Great to see. Not forgetting Heather Watson either - some good years ahead.
Book unread, grauniad untouched still flopped around lounger, as was I until moments ago. Cardie on now, out with green tea next. Will I take 1st of the Intensely Choc freebie ices out too? - probably, only because you made me, just the weaseliest of feeble weak excuses.
Fledglings and I have shared the afternoon in close proximity, but I have not eaten a baguette, a large pain rustique and another wheatgerm loaf, all rtc w8rs. Freezer is relieved too.
ccp- you're bookending this post. My rogue tatoes are now dwarfed by an amazing metrage of campanula with rich royal purple blooms. Where did that come from?CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

No, they're diascias - the photo is a little misleading on size: the flowers are rather smaller than they look here.ccp- you're bookending this post. My rogue tatoes are now dwarfed by an amazing metrage of campanula with rich royal purple blooms. Where did that come from?
Probably from my garden! They grow like weeds here: I have to conduct regular campaigns of campanula-cide to stop them smothering all my other plants, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that they can spread via the internet as well!Back after a very long break!0 -

Busy day here!
No sons after 10am so I....
1) Did 2 loads of washing and dried it outside. Not quite Skint's 5!
2) Went to mum and dad's to show them the underwater film we made yesterday.
3) Mum has started making the curtains for smaller son's bunk bed (trying a 4 poster type thing to see if it helps him settle).
4) Took mum to various errands then went to B and Q.
5) Painted the boys' room! White ceiling, blue walls (again). Just got to gloss the window sill tomorrow and put everything back neatly (plus new curtains for bed) before they get home.
6) Brother came for tea - chips from the travelling bus.
7) Popped to sister's. She is moving soon so I have had the bench from her garden.
8) Not long finished painting and in bed now and about to watch Casualty.0 -
yesterday's delights
1. Sunshine
2. DD did her dance exam with a big group of girls, doing the best dance from the show.
3. Sat in the park with DD eating the most delicious peaches and chatting to friends.
4. Cadbury's strawberry and crème chocolate.....yum!
5. After the exam, I decided to go for a drive and we ended up going to Pevensey Castle - it was beautiful
6. We popped to a supermarket and bought bread, cheese and salad and had an impromptu picnic dinner before driving home.
7. I'd promised her we'd watch a DVD together, so fired up the popcorn machine and we watched Madagascar 3 for the nth time.
Looks like its going to be another scorcher today, I reckon church then dragging out the paddling pool is on the cards. Although.... another adventure does feel quite tempting as well!0 -
Right, fixed the Yellow thing for you.
5 Had Pizzzzzza
4 Wobbleades
3 Film
2 gether
1 Ms Whack
Apart from that, cleaned front room. Washed car0
