Morning all. Yellow thing is off again.
As for last notes dinner. It was stupendous. Now for the weetabix and crumpets, slapped with seeded jam.
Off back to hospital soon, hand in the monitors. Let's see ...
5 Car washed, waxed and wheels of steel checked, watered and cared for.
4 today, it is a stool day. Feet shall fall upon them.
3 Toasted bread is the gift of the angels. Buttered and jammed, it is bliss.
2 Gosh, I rites sum nonsense!
1 Do not grumble because you are not playing cricket. You could watch your loved ones hit leather with willow instead. Just remember, that you will always hit the net at tennis.0 -

Err.....is that you just noticing Pirate Pete ?;)
Tea time here and dark o'clock ,
DD2 and I are just in from her friend's funeral. It was a beautiful service but just so ,so sad that one so young has died. Her mum and dad spoke about her , to her and they were so brave to get up and speak I thought. Some family friends paid tributes and it was a friend of the family who led the service. There was a montage of photos played to a beautiful song. People were invited to go and touch the casket to say goodbye. DD went up with 2 friends. I've never seen this before. Music from her iPod was played as we waited to go in. I've asked DD2 that they don't do this at mine as a lot if it is OHs downloads and certainly not my choice!!
Whilst not in the best of circumstances it was nice to catch up with people there. All the staff from DDs primary were there and they were so kind and friendly to me and my family when we first moved here and knew not one soul!
So give your loved ones a great big hug/ kiss/ pat on the head today and let them know you love them.
Work was mental and I walked out early to go to service leaving an absolute guddle! Didn't care one little bit....that was the pleasure
Sitting on my break this morning and discovering that DD1 and OH had been taking silly photos of themselves on my phone!! Made me laugh but I deleted them as they were cluttering my phone:)
No traffic on the road as I drove home earlier than usual ....that was indeed a pleasure! I usually have minor road rage as I enter our small town with the amount of crazy drivers !
Phoned my niece this morning ....finally getting her in, think I talk to her voice mail more than her! Was asked for and able to give advice which was nice. I really miss her and know we would be a big part of my great niece's routine.....och, only 7 months till we will see her!
That's about all for today....remember those hugs0 -
bop - 'Do not grumble because you are not playing cricket. ' My little country rarely manages to, as per yesterday. Another A* loss= 2-nil:-). Best wishes for all mot doings today.

I, too, am G&S phan. It began pre-school when Uncle would take me to everything CULTURE that visited NZ in those distant early 50's. Living in Wellington then made it easier, but multi-hundred miles journeys for same were also normal. Later, saw memorable stuff in Hackney Empire with small peeps. Always managed to economise for a 'Friday night is Theatre Night' venture.
1. Birds just hoovered up bread and toast.
2. New2me trailer's birth parents surprised but pleased by yesterday's follow-up visit. Invited in for tea but didn't stay as had to...
3. Forage in Mackay's of Cambridge, for gate pins. Love being in this place and doing bloke-y stuff with girly edge[more shades of Brico in France]. I'm afraid I like flooring men-at-work with old knowledge even I don't remember acquiring - and fast maths and calc.'s never go amiss. Looks of surprise on their faces is ever pleasurable. L. had arrived earlier in pouring rain to do front fence return.
4. Putah quasi-functioning, but not brilliant.
5. Another tillspit-'£1.91 off next shop' abandoned at Mr T. will be put to good use, as was a ditto 10p per litre off fuel. Why do people throw these things away?
Last thoughts last night and waking thoughts this morning were with mhagster and daughter and both families affected.

Solidly raining - again - makes Spits prep. hopeless. Better try nonetheless.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Sorry mhags, we cross-posted again. I faff around so long - go off and do other things as I write, then come back and find sometimes many posts ahead of where I began. I love your word 'guddle' and suspect my ex-pat Aunt in NZ would enlighten me. Tell me what bit of auld Scot it is...

Mcculloch ... loving the photos and fabulous names !
Pleasures for yesterday:
1. rainy day so went shopping with DS for work clothes (he starts in 2 weeks) We returned 3 trousers (too small) 1 shirt (too big) and 1 tie and after trying them on this time (!) we came away with 4 trousers & 1 shirt and £1.10 refund !
So now hes got 5 tailored trousers (£10 each), 5 slim fit tailored shirts (£8-£12) and 5 ties in total (some came free with the shirts) .... and with his student discount came in just over £100. Should keep him going for a while...
2. popped into azda for a few bits and bobs to last the rest of the week milk, bread etc and picked up some crisps on special offer (don't normally buy crisps but DS is running field gun all week with college next week so he needs all the carbs/calories he can get). Anyway I was overcharged, so I got a refund and a gift card for £2 as an apology
....and checked today ...they weren't 10% cheaper so got a money off voucher as well !
3. afternoon snooze when DS went off for his driving lesson
4. won a bid on the bay of e for star trek item for DS and it came in at under a tenner and less than my maximum bid. He's not getting much for his 18th as I paid for his trip to South Africa.
5. simple tea of leftovers0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗

1. I don't have to face the m-ways today. Back tomorrow and Friday but going to enjoy sleeping for most of today
2. Very thoughtful colleague did my on call last night as I was jiggered after the past few days nightmare drives
3. M&S food hall at hosp had boxes of mixed fresh fruit rtc, perfect for a snack on the road
4. Found a florist that delivers balloons - hospitals don't allow flowers these days, DM unable to read as she has macular degeneration and she has all the nighties etc she needs. Quite reasonably priced they're going to deliver for her birthday on Friday
5. Lovely neighbour seeing to furpets
Hugs to all who need/want, take care0 -
Good evening all !
Skintos -thank you re the diamond
Mhagster - tough day for all concerned
Sparrer- take it easy .Please try not to burn yourself out when you get run down you sometimes get a nasty c. i . xx
VJsmum - at least Honey Bear is not in an "artistic" pose - a provocative HB looking over it's shoulder wistfully and all that:rotfl:Isn't there a law against it ? if not there should be :rotfl:I once put a fake Barbi* doll wearing a swimming costume on my brother's motorbike seat. I secured her legs under a seat strap and put out her arms which looked like she was holding on to his leather jacket ,riding pillion . He got some very odd looks as "they" pulled up alongside cars at traffic lights. I would have wet myself if they had pulled up alongside me :rotfl:
5 for today
1. Work ok
2. Had my appraisal . No problems there .
3. Sent some texts to my sister who has been poorly. We don't communicate much, as I think we share one brain between us and don't need to iyswim? Still it was nice to do so.
4. Terrier here , she will slope off upstairs with me later as I plan to do some of my assignment in bed after tea.
5. Prawn satay for tea.
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
1) Woke up this morning to see the sun peeping through the curtains...
2) so I decided to pootle into Southampton using a free train ticket that was out to run out. As it was free I went first class: there's not much point to it on such a short journey, but I had the carriage to myself for most of the time which was quite pleasant.
3) Wandered around a very interesting little museum, and had a fascinating conversation about medieval accounting methods with another visitor and one of the museum staff. I didn't actually understand most of the conversation, but it was fascinating all the same!
4) Ate lunch in the museum's very nice garden - hard to believe now the rain is once again pattering against the windows.
5) Started to out stuff in my bag to take to my DP's tomorrow and found a pair of (clean) socks that I obviously left in there last time I used the bag - last Christmas, I think.Back after a very long break!0
