    Hope you all had a lovely long weekend, here's five collective bank holiday pleasures;

    1. Shopping for our new house and getting some fantastic bargains!

    3. Family bbq, chatting, laughing and playing with my niece.

    4. Currently teaching myself to knit and my new needles have arrived :T been practising on childrens plastic ones, its nice to be using grown up ones :)

    5. Ian the dog and his new bed. Got tons of photos of him snuggled up in various hilarious positions.

    Evening all.

A few quick pleasures for today:

    1) Won £5 in an on-packet competition from a well-known brand of fruit juice; the juice was free in the first place, too, so I definitely came out ahead on that one! :D

    2) Found out that a work colleague hasn't done something he repeatedly assured everyone he had done, and which needs to be done before the audit next week. The pleasure is that I'm now away from the office for the rest of the week and therefore out of splatter range when the proverbial hits the fan. ;)

    3) The plants and seeds I planted over the weekend have been well watered in. smiley-happy053.gif

    4) And it's now stopped raining so I should be able to get to the quiz without being washed away.

    5) Toast and a certain variety of unspecified cheese for dinner. ;) (The Cheese That Must Not Be Named.)
Back after a very long break!

mmmmm, I love that cheese :) (and all others bar those gross ones with bits of dried apricot and gubbins in, they're not cheese, they're abominations!)

    1. NSD - makes a change!

    2. Received belated birthday present of textbooks from OH through the post, I know how to party, eh?!

    3. Picked up more children's books from the library, I'm very glad I'm a super-fast reader as I can whistle through them and jot down a few notes and then return them so DD can have use of her own library card again....!

    4. We had an unexpected house viewing which flipped me out to start when the estate agent unlocked the front door, but the family who came to view were very nice so I let them in to our very messy house, as they promised me they could look beyond the piles of books and papers - thankfully no dirty clothes or dishes, just general mess! Fingers crossed they like it enough to come back when we're not in.....

    5. Gave the little girl of the viewing couple DD's old tutu - I meant to take it to the car boot sale yesterday but forgot, and she was the perfect size for it :) I promised them I wasn't trying to bribe them into buying the house, lol, just happy to be able to give it to a little girl who'd appreciate wearing it :)

Just a quick few pleasures from me, am worn out!

    Went to Aberdovey!

    1) Good train journey there.

    2) When we stopped at Dyfi Junction, the conductor told us over the tannoy all about the osprey nest there and that they are being filmed for Spring Watch. I don't know how she knew so much about it but she knew the osprey's names (!) and that they would be on tv tonight (had never watched SW before).

    3) Walked well over a mile up the beach and found an old pill box. Also found a geocache! Lots of climbing up sand dunes by sons and skimming stones.

    4) Back down the beach again and walked up to the bandstand.

    5) A most unhealthy tea of hot dogs then waffles in a caf! on the seafront.

    6) Nice weather until about 4pm then it rained continuously.

    7) Another good journey back. We were supposed to wait half an hour for our third and final train when we changed at Shrewsbury but as soon as we got off our train, we *just* caught one that went to our station so no waiting at all.

    8) Got home and put Spring Watch on iplayer so sons could watch it in bed and they were captivated! Smaller son was sure every train filmed passing the osprey nest was "our train". :-)

    Morning

From a much happy Tealady who has taken her evening primrose today :o. Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Not swearing too much when the coffee machine decided to spit coffee and coffee grinds all over the kithchen. OH made a very hasty retreat as apparently I had a murderous look in my eye. This meant the coffee machine got a good clean.
    2. Was naughty and bought a yummy baguette for lunch as due to coffee machine didn't make my lunch
    3. OH was also in a much better mood (or was it that I wasn't so hormonal)
    4. DD had a couple of hours babysitting so she has a bit of money in her purse that hasn't come from me
    5. Yummy dinner and stuck to meal plan also managed to feed DD before she had to be out of the door.

hugs to all who need them
