    Morning

Ampersand - Sounds like you had a wonderful on Sunday. Safe journey today.

thank you all for the birthday wishes

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Lots of lovely cards and presents for my birthday, also received money and vouchers so may need to take myself shopping at the weekend.
    2. Postie brought me a £15 M&S voucher from East Coast trains as a futher apology to the train delays I got caught up in when the overhead lines were down a little while ago. I was more than pleased with this as they have already sent me rail vouchers to the cost of my train ticket.
    3. More washing dried on the line, all folded and put away
    4. Yummy dinner out with inlaws and SIL got a round in (this is unheard of)
    5. Received my briefing pack for being a volunteer route marshall at the Moonwalk in London in a couple of weeks. Not walking this year but nice to still be involved in such a great event.

Hugs to all who need them

    Good evening all !

Tealady - happy belated birthday- a Taurean??

Frith- Oh dear CV joint sounds expensive , more than £6 ish I should think !

OT - naked ponies and puppies :D

    5 for today

    1. Late on from last night . Watched the programme about Dave Allen . He was so funny - I remember watching him on Saturday evenings with my aged P's when I was a kid . The fag , whiskey , half a finger classic stuff . I laughed my head off when they showed the sketch of him dressed as a priest doing the striptease to music on some steps.

2.We had been given 4 squabs (sp) long story rescued from a building site yesterday. OH called a rescue centre and they came to collect them whilst I was at work . They already have one other orphan at the centre so they will have some company.

    3.Work ok

    4. Chips for tea.

    5. People at work kindly remembering to save me their bits of greenery for hens to eat.

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

    2. finished at 1.15pm
    3. painkillers
    4. afternoon snooze
    5. laughing at some of the posts on here and catching up will all your pleasures.

Chicken sorry to hear of your run-in with work collegue on Monday. You dont need some idiot trying to drop you in it

We had a fire drill at work today and so I had to get down 10 flights of stairs. I was determined to do it as there is no way I am getting in an evac chair. But the result of that and standing around in the car park and then queing for a lift has really set my leg off so there were a few tears at work. I didnt have a car park space today so I also had to walk back to my car. So I've now increased the gabapetin along with the co-codamol etc and work have now agreed to a reasonable adjustment to give me a car park space for next 2 weeks.

    Have a good evening x

    Evening

    Chicken - I am definetly a bull in a china shop :o
Skint - (((Hugs))) Hope your leg starts to improve soon

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Won a prize of 12 bottles of the new lucozade at work so shared some with people at work and brought the rest home for DD and OH, I find it way too sweet for my taste. Having a very good week for freebies.:money:
    2. Saw a friend today and she gave me a bottle of wine for birthday. May have to indulge at the weekend :D
    3. Bought the last part of a 60th birthday present for someone at work we had done a collection for. He is very difficult to buy for and no one was very forthcoming with ideas but have sorted it now. He has a bottle of vintage port and a cigar, not very PC but I know he will enjoy and appreciate both. Also bought some bits to decorate his desk with.
    4. Another load of washing dried on the line, don't know where all the washing comes from in this house but it seems to be constant.
    5. Yummy dinner of a meat feast pasta, idea borrowed from someone on the OS boards. Great for using up lots of bits and pieces in the fridge. Enough left for OH to have for dinner on Thursday as I am out with the girls.

Hugs to all who need them

Aw skint: that so reminds me of when my leg as no weight and at an angle in a cast so in a wheelchair, I worked in a pre historic NHS building on the 4th floor, when the fire alarm went off. It took me about 30mins to get down the stairs and I was so annoyed.

Ampersand, I found a complete series of 5 books that are on my amazon wish list but they are £7 each on amazon, only 50p each at the charity shop, it takes me 60mins on the trains to get to work so I can get the brain into gear by reading.

1.Thank you for the work wishes, it was slightly better, but a lot better because I am off for a week now, I am hoping a few days off will be what I need, fingers crossed.

    2.Sausage and mash for a late dinner.:o
3.Put another load of bird food out they are always fun to watch:)
    4. Washing loads all up to date.
    5. Did I mention a few days off:rotfl:
6.I’ve got all the bits together for Wedding anniv and Birthday presents. I’m happy with it I hope he is too, organized for me.:)

    Hello all

So sorry about your leg, Skint. Fire drills are always bad, but worse for you with that leg.
PK - enjoy your days off.

    5 For today

    1. last teaching session of the year - although it wasn't a proper one, it was a revision session. Although I may have some private teaching to do
    2. Yummy ham sandwich for lunch - I almost never eat sandwiches so I was pleased to have enjoyed it. Though, as ever, was hungry for most of the afternoon - which is why I don't eat them
    3. Finish it all up tea - salad with a mini quiche, mini pizza, mini pasties etc out of the still-trying-to-be-emptied freezer. Nearly there. Everyone enjoyed.
    4. Seeing DS do his maths - goodness that boy has come a long way over 2 years. It's amazing the difference 10 minutes a day, every day can make. he is now scoring GCSE grade C equivalents in school tests - with 2 years to his GCSE.
    5. DD came home much happier after a trying few days, due to A level drama.

Might do half an hours ironing - partly to warm up.:p
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    5) yummy salad for supper. Was going to be feta then we remembered we needed to use up some anchovies, so feta is for tomorrow
Looking forward to hearing how many bed's you have frith
Good bit of detective work vjsmum but seems i spelled i wrong. Dr Ian Low was the main benefactor ( i too googled it)
