1. Finally got structural report confirming everything is okay after some work I had done at my house
2. Met up with DD's teacher's daughter who was lovely and has put my mind slightly at ease about the interview process for Uni2.
3. Good, busy, day at work. Have made one mistake, but luckily it's been caught in time!!
4. Have asked a colleague for help with my maths prep
5. DD in perky mood this afternoon
6. YS croissants for breakfast, nomnomnom.0 -
Here are my pleasures for today so far:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Sons off to school happily.
3) Got 2kg of wild garlic from the wood at mum and dad's.
4) Went to the library and books included ManLab that sons are obsessed with.
5) Dropped the "ceiling" from Santa's Grotto off at the charity shop. It is voile (?) with holographic sequins and they said someone would make good use of it.
6) Did lots of cooking. Huge quantities of pesto sauce (made with 1kg wild garlic) which is now in the fridge for tea tomorrow, in my sister's fridge, in the freezer and in 5 sterilised jars!
Also made a roll of garlic butter which is now in the freezer.
7) Got the laptop back from PCWorld so it is much easier to type here now!
8) Sister popped in.
Getting a bit nervous now as I have an Umbrella (SEN) meeting with son's paediatrician tomorrow at 9.30. He is going to say if son (finally) has a diagnosis of asd. Or not.0 -
Good evening all !
Skintos - sounds as if the old Gabapentin might be doing the trick then?? Which is great news.
OT and Frith- loving the HM/foraged stuff going on !
CCP and PK - sorry to hear about the laptop issues !
VJsmum - very well hung
5 for today
1. Redeemed some Mr. T vouchers for restaurant vouchers for a meal out on Thursday - annual leave day
2. Not good news as my Aunt told me her son in law has just had several brain tumours removed today and they are not sure if they are the "C" word or not.Cousin obviously in tears but laughed when my Aunt told her she had 306 loo rolls in the cupboard as when my Uncle nips out for some wine he buys 16 rolls for £1.99 each time. I said he must bliddy drink a lot of wine.:rotfl:Laughs are otherwise in short supply at the moment
3.The above Aunt said that she was now on Fa*ebook- I said more like Ar*ebook due to the aforementioned stock .
4. Terrier is here on the sofa although she is a bit "fragrant".
5.Steak pie for tea - shop not YUM
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Blimey DD - you certainly "done" Edinburgh
OT - I thought I saw a swallow on Sat, but I'm not very "birdy"
Skint - glad the leg feels better, <<fingers crossed>>. Gruyere cheese and caramalised onion tart sounds yummy
Chicken - so sorry to hear news of cousin in law, fingers crossed it doesn't prove to be. We are going through something similar with one of OH's only 2 cousins - except his is now confirmed.
For today
1. DD went back to school, she seems 100% well now :T
2. Did the ironing watching "Endeavour" - t'was OK
3. Walked into town with Wally the trolley for some free exercise, took some bags to the charity shop and managed to get the next Harry Potter from the library to help with the cleaning. Except I cleaned the bathrooms listening to the food programme and some of News Quiz
4. Managed to stick to my day of very low calories (2 lots of homemeade soup for lunch and dinner). Needed to make up for excesses of weekend.
