Latest. BoP is a street ahead in the second game against Ms Whack. Not be long before the victory. Ms Whack has had too many babycham, she is throwing her tiles on the floor.0
-
Is getting edgy, Ms Whack has bared all and laid seven tiles on the board. She is within 100 points. Will BoP hold on.
I have the X to play.0 -
Result just in. Ms Smack wanted best of three games.
It was all over in two. BoP remains Scrabble Champion this week.
Oh no, seems Kitty has done a pitch invasion, will the result stand?0 -
I haven't invaded the pitch BoP, I've been quaffing vino with mummykins
1. - 1000. Being with DDShe got hugely over-excited then crashed and burned, cue lots of tears and hugs and comfort on the sofa. Poor little thing, so much is happening in her life and I wish I could make it easier for her (and the rest of us).
1001. NSD
1002. DD and I went for a little walk and tried to feed some disinterested ponies, so DD had one of the carrots instead
1003. Mummykins took us for tea and cake at lovely local caf!/farm shop, nomnomnom.
1004. Best ever baked potato for dinner, nomnomnom.
1005. DD showed me how to make a fab paper hat
1006. Thrashed DD at a few card games, was trounced at a dice type game. All good fun and looking forward to more of the same tomorrow0 -
Lilli, lovely story, but if I'd been that short of cash, I'd have been tempted to hug and kiss ... Hopefully no more emergencies for you till t.c's are in.
CCP - seems a good arrangement, my DS waited until he was 24 to learn to drive as insurance was so prohibitive. He passed first time, needless to say he has had accidents....!
Very quiet day, but so enjoying the repeats of Tom Jones on BBC Four. I must have watched these programmes 3-4 times now and could easily watch them again. What a voice, what a talent.
My favourite tweet of the Jubilee Concert was "Cliff, Paul... stop, stop STOP!. Watch what Tom is doing. See? Like that, please."Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Lillibet what a very kind person to stop and help. There are still some good people in the world
PK on the other hand there are some wicked people, but thank goodness they're few and far between.
skint sounds like a good place to work for, they obviously value you
1. Had to get some more syringes and insulin from the vet, they gave me a month's supply of needles but only charged me for the insulin. So pleased I changed to this one, not just for that of course but for how much time they spend with each 'patient'
2. Timed it so I could pick DD up and take her to work rather than her having to walk there in the rain.
3. Took DGD2 some amethyst stones from a bracelet which broke last week. They'll join her stock of allsorts in the very smart sewing room her parents have converted for her
4. Met with friends this evening at a new venue which was very comfortable and relaxed so will definitely go there again
5. New bank I've just changed to has already sorted all my income and DD's. Just hope this sort of service continues
Sweet dreams0 -
Yellow thing is out, it will not last

Taken me BetaBlokkers
Got me Camera
Got me bottle of juice
Got me Camera Gogs
Fed the cat
And now ready for the Rugby0 -

Ah, but you see, that's one of my ongoing daily pleasures - the fact that MSE (and the mad preppers especially!) has helped me to build up a stockpile, fill the freezers, ensure the animals always have food and there's always a little bit of cash, however small, at the end of the month.:T (Not quite enough to keep the phone topped up though - they'll kick me out of the prepping thread for that:rotfl:)
Time was, when I would have thought nothing of charging it all on the credit card and sticking my head in the sand.:j[DFW Nerd club #1142 Proud to be dealing with my debt:TDMP start date April 2012.
