• Our kitty is locked out and wandering the streets.

Sunday Service

1 Off for a week, so no shave, no splash. Fear the stumble. Just like sandpaper.

2 gether with Ms Whack.

3 Fish chips and mushy peas for tea. And that is why cat is barred at the moment.

4 Couple of wobbleades for later.

5 Just getting ready for a day in the Studio tomorrow.

Just annoyed, darn marketing calls on Sunday. Put in slave trade directory like the Yellow Pages, delivered on Easter Sunday.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
PK - I use the kabanossi (sp?) to make jambalaya and they're lovely in that: they also make a nice sausage and pasta soup, like Tealady's but smokier.

1) Nice lie-in this morning - the last for a while as I'm back at work tomorrow. :(

2) More sunshine, although it hasn't been nearly as nice and warm as it was yesterday.

3) Chatting on the phone to my DPs.

3) Easy dinner of cannelloni and salad, and there's enough left for lunch tomorrow.

5) Out with friends tonight, unusually for a Sunday: I'm not really in the mood if I'm honest, but I hope I'll enjoy it when I get there.
Back after a very long break!

CCP: Thanks for the receipe idea, I was wondering what to do with them, will give it a try for tomorrow.
Firth: It sounds like you are having an amazing time in Wales, I’m looking forward to visiting in June but it will be in the van rather than a lovely flat, I’ve just been looking at the beautiful place the in laws will be staying in but we can’t as they don’t accept pets.

I’m not really looking forward to work I don’t know why.
1.Sneaky one for yesterday on way to in laws we filled up with a tank of diesel, as it is 4p cheaper there!!:money:
2.Decided as I was cooking breakfast (acquired from the freezer) I didn’t want to worry about cooking later so continuing with my clearing the freezer out, found an rtc steak, chopped up lidls veg, stock and had a casserole ready for the oven by the time breakfast was finished. Pfft multi tasking.:rotfl:
3. Charged the kindle up searched for books but nothing appealed.
4. Animals decided to help as I gardened, planted all the seeds we have as they stand more chance in the green house, remembered to label and water them. Then cleared out a big patio pot, filled with new soil, and seeds that say patio pot edible on them seems to be all sorts of coloured salad and smelling stuff so should smell great and be edible if they grow. Went round dead heading the hydranga’s in the front and back garden as the new buds are there, shattered now. We may have herbs and vegetables but no flowers at all at the moment, it will have to be whatever has survived in the garden. I noticed as soon as I stopped to make teas the birds and woodpeckers all swooped into the garden, waiting for me to get out of the way.:)
5. DH spent the day working on my car while I gardened.;)
6. On the phone with dad for an hour
6. Looking forward to hot soak as aching from all of the gardening.

I think it is a case of only talking about things that he is interested in, with an odd bit of my stuff. We have a couple of things in common - mostly bands and music and also the travelling we have done and would like to do, but otherwise I have to talk about Football, railways and Grand Prix and have become more interested in them as a result. There is some TV stuff we both like or I can ask about programmes he likes even if I'm not interested.

It doesn't always work though, when he comes home from school our conversations go thus
Me "Alright?"
DS "Alright."
Me "Nice Day?"
DS "S'alright"
Me "what've you done?"
DS "stuff"
Me "anything good happen?"
HIm "Narp"
Me "Anything bad happen?"
Him "Narp"
Him "What can I have to eat?"

:D

EDIT - PK, it's me in Wales - I was taunting Frith cos she knows the area!! We are usually in the 'van but copped out this time because it is cold and for most of the week it is only DS and OH (I leave on Tues). Also it's a mates flat so he hasn't charged too much - in fact it has worked out cheaper than the camp site.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Nothing chronological; matters not.

1. Thought of bop as I left Scotsdales[after David Rayner re-opened gates to let me out.] Across the road is Shelfords Rugby ground and yesterday's 2.30 match was vs Hartlepury College. In boot was the birdseed on special which WAS on my list...and just a couple more things from the Halt'n'Lame section that weren't. I think quite a few of us on here know how that is. Little small sneaky garden centre extras, so no-one can really see them. Just an espalier conference pear and a saphora...and my free herb from spring catalogue offer, which ended today. Red-veined sorrel - hooray! Have 3 types now and it's such a staple of so much French cooking which I love. From their charity bookshelf, birdbox book and The History of The Archers! After Caroline and Shula's ramble down memory lane earlier, with names even I didn't recall, could be useful. Tom and Brenda bed-sharing but not no longer affianced...
A propos of nothing, I note Infidelity Lil is 2 years my senior!...
Couple ahead of me had overloaded trolley, but no 10% discount coupon, when I asked. So they waited, while I went to car for a spare - worthwhile: £32.60 off. I'd love one of the ancient century+olive trees: £899.99!

2. Before Scotsdales came w8rs and 4 nice little nuggety steaks - lovely Hereford fillet, rtc £1.10 and 4 NZ kidneys 40p. Just now, had one of each+last tomato+impromptu salad using last grapes - scrumptious. Enjoyed free cappuccino, comme toujours. 3 bunches of blowsy scented daffs + lilies, each 49p for my dear and saintly neighbour. She was pleased, enjoys the reduction aspect of them at least as much as moi.

3. Before w8rs came carboot - in sunshine and warmth! So lovely, such a change. Found x, remain deeply concerned about his welfare and can't do much more. Will bake, cook, take more food tomorrow, which I somehow felt was expected. Picked up an interesting sgd/dedicated 1st edn of a WWII POW camp diary and a v.decent little footstool, fair bit of age, rather Arts and Crafts, with leather strap-weave top. Might regret not taking a sheathed cutlass, not tourist-y, not new - but I don't do £60 buys@carboots....well, not punts on bits I'm unsure of. Found a really pleasing old frame to cut down for last week's Pett Art Show Anemones pic. - 50p is much more my style.

4. Before carboot came France phone@0500h. As usual, didn't answer. Was surprised by msg left. Must have a think about things. Will promised email eventuate?

5. Before phone call came visit, Friday afternoon. All cost-cutting change and messing about, unworkable, real trouble and unrest waiting to happen, also considerable public liability. I've been asked to write officially and will do so. Was able to offer a lift to someone afterwards, saving her a £40 taxi fare. For the first time in this part of sth I do, gave name/contact details and will help again if I can.

Ready for bed, for book, for dependable sun. May be tomorrow. Nightynight all.
