    1. Laughing at narp :D. My DGD2 has an expression which is virtually impossible to write, it sounds something like 'nn nnn nn', with middle nnn going up scale a bit. I believe it means 'I don't know'. She says it whenever she's asked a question - unless she thinks she'll benefit in some way with a half-way coherent reply!
    2. The sun. It's beautiful and helps everyone's mood, I just wish it wasn't so blooming cold!
    3. Met friends at lunchtime, had a good chinwag
    4. A late lunch in a pub, sensible me chose something from the 'under 700 cals' menu. We won't mention the apple pie and ice cream ;)
    5. The Village, got quite into it this evening
    Sleep tight :)

  • Just had a back through the day reading &.
VJ. With common sense like that, your lad could be a police commissionaire!

Just one pleasure today. Cat, on attempt to get on table to wash up left over cornflake milk, fell into the box. Do not panic, cat is still in the box.

    Morning

CCP - I going to use the kabonossi in a jambalya tonight as well. PK it is alsi nice added to a chicken and pasta bake.
    VJsmum - Wales sounds fab.
Sparrer - My DD has the same expression as your DGD, we love teenagers really;)

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Cheese on HM toast for breakfast
    2. Washing dried on the line, got to see the bottom of the washing basket yesterday, only for OH to fill it up again:mad:
    3. Left over sausage and pasta soup for lunch as OH missed it in the fridge when he went looking for something to eat:D, was very yummy.
    4. Another little siesta, didn't sleep very well as OH has passed on his cold/cough to me. I went into DD's room to make her bed as she is away and laid down on it when made. Decided to sleep in her room last night as then we wouldn't disturb each other coughing and sneezing.
    5. Watched the Kings Speech on tv, is one I have been meaning to watch for a while so pleased it was on TV. A nice easy watch.
    6. Chat with DD on the phone. She is having a great time at my parents and catching up with friends and family there.

Hugs to all who need them

Have just listened to/read RCT match reports from Toulon...how I longed to be there!
managed to hear bits on car radio where I do my usual juggling btwn French and English commentary.
Toulon's next 2 matches are tough: vs Clermont, 2pts below them in top quatorze, then vs sarries@Twick. JW looks oddly glum in one of these post-match clips:
    http://www.rctoulon.com/en/page/accueil/ and the var-matin here:
    http://www.varmatin.com/rct/videos-h-cup-toulon-soffre-une-demi-en-battant-leicester-21-15.1182997.html
-but his French is coming on well. I much like Mourad Boudjellal - sound, interesting, straight-talking man. Money and mouth in same place, toulonnais born and bred and I love Toulon.
    ########
    39-18! bop. Great result!
Should have been out door. on buses ago as lunettes broke last night - new frame needed.

    Good afternoon everyone! :hello:

I've been AWOL for a while (again), for which I apologise. However, I'm here now and have a few OS things to share... So, my 5 today are:

    1) Dropped quality books off at Age UK this morning and gift aided my donation. Feeling virtuous about that!

    2) Baked a cake for tonight's meeting of the Clandestine Cake Club locally. I've made a Cider Fruit Cake as the theme is "Quench your thirst". Most of the ingredients were British, so I'm patting myself on the back!

    3) Recycling like crazy. We seem to have so much rubbish - well, magazines which have been read, travel brochures which I've drooled over (and unable to afford!).

    4) Ironing pile started... :(

    5) Washing machine given a thorough service cycle. It no longer smells!

    Have a good day everyone.

I can’t remember who! but someone on this thread suggested I appealed against an unfair tax fine, I took your advice and also mentioned it was also to do with looking after my father, I did and I have just had a letter through saying it is accepted. So a very big thank you, it’s saved me thousands of ££ in an unfair fine.:j:money::j

I’m feeling very flat today but it will pass, there are pleasures.
Our little ferret seems to be coming out of critical, he’s not collapsing, he’s taking the steroids and slowly seems to be getting there, he hasn’t been up and about all weekend but he is starting to look a lot better. Still a way to go but it is promising.:)
1.I can’t deny I am struggling a little bit with work at the moment I think it’s a mix of not feeling 100% and needing a bit of a break, I have booked a few days off each side of the May Bank holiday as it our wedding anniv and his birthday.
2.I also booked a day off this week as we will be helping family.:D
    3. Tonight one of the kabossi will chopped up small in a tomato pasta /cheese bake and the other one in a rice recipe tomorrow.;)
4.Really enjoying a box of shortbread cookies MIL gave us, few months out of date but they were so well packaged it didn’t have any effect they taste lovely.
    5. Digging to the bottom of the washing loads, if I could get 3 loads done today it would get up to date but it’s doubtful.:o
    6. We don’t need to go shopping as the freezers are only just breathing a sigh of relief reckon it will be about another week until I have cleared a shelf.
