  • Right, I am starving. But needs to be done. Drinking sand. I fear, as mentioned above, a blowout later, ooooops.

Better still be tested. Mom died of it nearly thirty years back, so having thou Botty checked out is good for you.

    Good afternoon all !

BoP- good luck with your tests x Not a camera up your Harris is it?? Some vile solution called Picolax to drink ?

Frith - good luck persuading the boys to see your ex.

Mculloch - I liked John Dunlop.

    5 for today

    1. Took the tiny terrier to the local park - lovely bright day although a biting wind . Two huge dogs launched themselves at the terrier wanting to play, she didn't take any notice as she is oblivious to anything or anyone else except her ball.Had a chuckle as another terrier was "playing football" wth a bunch of guys , another little bundle of energy obsessed with chasing the ball- at least ours fetches it back each time.

2.Planted some courgettes and dwarf french beans in pots in Mum's greenhouse. I reckon the weather will suddenly warm up , so thought I should get on with something in the growing department .

3.Made a steak and mushroom pie - not enough room for a "Yum" on top as it's just a small one for me .OH and Mum having roast lamb (yuk)

    4. Baked the pie top with some "50's" cakes. All of the ingredients weigh 50g each except the egg . Makes about 6 buns , it's a crime to just have lamb in the oven.

5.Watching the washing flapping violently on the line, jeans and towels which I hope will dry .

Have a lovely evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

Evening all, and thanks very much for your mog-related sympathy. He was a pretty special sort of cat, but then anyone who's owned by a cat thinks that. :)

    1) NSD and NPD, which is greatly needed after the recent vet bills.

    2) Long lie-in this morning.

    3) Cold pizza for brunch, which is always the best part of a takeaway imo. ;)

    4) My two little willow warblers were back hopping around the garden - they're wonderfully confident little birds which seem to have no concerns about my presence at all.

    5) Had to change my meal plan as the chicken I had planned to eat had gone off  - luckily my freezer is well stocked so a replacement was easy to find, and I really prefer fish to chicken anyway. ;)

I hope everyone has had a very pleasant Monday and is recovering from the chocolate egg overdose. :p
Back after a very long break!

    Rampant Recycler
    Small collection:

    1. DS happily transferring cash to my account for his board. I'll explain.
When he was drinking - he stopped after Christmas - he resented every penny that couldn't go on what he wanted to spend it on.
For a long time I took no cash from him as it was just so stressful, but then I had no choice as my income dropped.
Yet another pleasure from his being TT,

    2. Going outside to recycling bin and just for a few seconds, feeling warm sunshine on my face. Then the clouds once more, but the sun has peeped through since.

    3. Using up the first of many mini perfumes I have. I've been smelling gorgeous for a few weeks now, this one was Dior Dolce Vita. As with all such things, the problem was building morning perfume application into my routine but it is, now. I used to just dab it on for special occasions but there aren't enough of those. (See sig,)

    4. Chocolate, and chocolate tea. Think I am acquiring the taste. It really does taste very chocolatey whilst still being tea.

    5. Lovely chat this afternoon with DD, who has encouraged me to get my hair chopped again. I wanted to, but I have had approx 4 hairstyles in 55 years so change comes slowly to me! It was last short c. 1993. Then my income was very low for a long time and I had to stop getting it cut. I trimmed it myself for about 15 years, until 2010.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
  • I fear the throne is calling. I may be some time.

    Big big hugs CCP

I was able to read the thread but couldn’t easily reply in the COL.

Lots of 5 pleasures in the below.

A lovely weekend, on Friday from the campsite we went over and picked up my car, and I love it. We got on with the sellers like a house on fire and spent the day there, they kept chickens and geese, I have to say I thought it may be someone off here as we were all full of money saving ideas, they love it’s going to be my car, they’ve replaced their H Reg with a G Reg. We talked and talked and 6 hours later I drove away in my new pride and joy.:) It’s lovely it needs a bit of tlc lots of little things that need doing that the DH wants to do so that’s a result.:rotfl:

On Saturday, we spent an entire day in Brighton wandering around taking it all in, from the markets to walking along the seafront, and everything in between.:D

We got up the next day and pondered to a boot fair where I picked up a tangine, cooking pot I had wanted but didn’t want to pay 70 new, I don’t know what to cook in it yet, picked this one up for a tenner, :money:and when we got back to the van and passed out cold relaxed and shattered.:o

Just got back home, unloaded the van and cooking up some meat we picked up from the butchers over the weekend and leftovers smells fantastic.

Off to do lots of research, tangine recipes, motor mover, things like that.:rotfl:
