    1) Finally got round to starting off HM Raspberry Liqueur with some of last years raspberries from the allotment that have been patiently waiting in the freezer. hould be ready for bottling in time to give as Christmas presents
    2) Ditto - Creme de Cassis is underway too
    3) After my electric sewing machine went 'pop' earlier in the week, I have managed to get Grandma's hand cranked sewing machine (circa 1930's) going and neatly patch the torn portion of my bed quilt :)
    4) Sorted out my towel stash and using some thin & hard (but still absorbent) bath sheets have made a back seat cover for the car to stop the dogs getting the seats dirty
    5) Have managed to succesfully wash my ponys stable rug in the washer - saving £12 on having it profesionally cleaned - and its drying nicely pegged out on the line
    6) Sorted out a bootful of hoarded junk and OH took to tip
    7) The sun has been out for a few precious minutes...yayyyy!

    Good evening all !

VJsmum - ooh I would love to have met that older gentleman who rode for the queen - he does however, sound a little too old to have got into ....errrr ...mischief with yours truly "back in the day":o Glad that your DS found him interesting :). Nice to know that you liked the blue eggs - if you are ever down Sowff you can "pick your own" here

Mcculloch-:D loved the Trike , the horse racing in the U.K and Dubai - gotta love the boy from Brighton coming second on Red Cadeau- his Grandfather Charlie, would have loved it . A far cry from selling hurdle races at Plumpton .

    5 from yesterday

    1. OH replaced Mum's headboard cover with some fabric that we had upstairs - it looks fab and she is really happy with it and it didn't cost a penny.

    2. 6 eggs blue and normal colour.

    3. Used £5 off voucher and a 2p (!) one at Mr. T - got another one which I will give to SIL- as spent too much and I refuse to shop for a few weeks.

4.Terrier came over for tea and cuddles

    5. OH made slow cooked lamb - I had rtc fillet steak :D

    5 for today

    1. Got a lot of bargains in Bo*ts 3-4-2 stuff that I need.

    2. G.p had put two lots of steroid ear drops on my prescription - One was available one out of stock- glad I got one at least as eczema in ears is driving me crazy !

3.Spoke to woman in the Spanish Bank and discussed shifting around dosh for a much better rate. I will spend a day or so sorting it in new tax year.

    4. Watching the racing on Ch 4 x 2- much less waffle, more action these days:D

5.Made some tacos for tea - I had quorn and did some minced beef ones for OH . Never had these before and they were ok , only used half of the kit (Sparrer can you see a theme here ?? !!!) so put in air tight container for another day :D

    Have a lovely evening all!

    Hi all
quiet here innit - have you all lives to live rather than be here?

    Todays

    1. A nice sleep - woke at 6.30 but I'd slept for 9 hours
    2. bacon sandwich for brekkie
    3. A walk with OH to the butchers - told you we know how to live. We have bought a cockerel to have tomorrow - it's mahoosive and cost an arm and a leg but what the hell
    4. THe great easter egg hunt with DD - we were struggling and scrabbling around to buy anything but it's their fault (DS and DD) as they said they didn't like the ones I bought last year.
    5. Nice dinner with an old friend. OH cooked lasagne, I iced some cupcakes from last week and did them up as birthday cake for friend. Friends cocker spaniel came too - was V. cute (and I am not an animal person)

Don't forget the clocks - it'll be lighter later tomorrow.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Evening

    Mhagster - belated happy birthday

Pleasures for the last couple of days,
    1. Dinner out with inlaws on Friday and FIL paid.
    2. One of the managers at work gave me an easter egg
    3. Pancakes for brunch today
    4. Lazy day today reading my book
    5. NSD
    6. Food shopping all done and on budget even though I had thought it would be over budget as had bought a few easter treats
    7. Couple of loads of washing dried on the line, still got loads of washing to do so hoping it stays dry for a bit longer.
    8. Getting some matched funding at work for the guiding event I helped with last week. It takes such little effort to apply for the matched funding at work but people dont seem to bother which is totally beyond me.

Hugs to all who need them and hope you all have a happy and peaceful easter sunday

VJsmum - SVR, eh? I worked for 10 years in one of the towns on that line. We're still not far away but like all things on your doorstep, rarely go on it!

Here are my pleasures for today - a busy day!

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Sons happy watching films and playing this morning. None of us got dressed til lunchtime.

    3) I did some washing, cleaned the kitchen and we sorted the craft boxes out a bit.

    4) HM bread and tomato soup for lunch.

    5) Went paced egg rolling at mum and dad's - in the snow!!

    6) A thaw today (had snow for 9 days now) We can see grass in places at last and on average have about 10cm left now.

    7) Went swimming with sons and my brother.

    8) My school friend came for tea.

    9) Lots of television watching in front of the stove. We try not to miss Dr Who and bizarrely we all really like The Voice. Then there is Casualty.

3 Emporiums are shut. They should be very Sunday. Just like Germany and other Countries. They cope. Miss Smack says the T emporium has panicked it customers into going to their little shops. You now, when they killed of the High Street, they moved into the neighbourhood.
    2 gether with Ms Black

1 I lost an hour somewhere.

And Ms DD, them Chocolate Bunnies are not suitable for Vegetarians. You must share.
