A couple of days' worth from me :)

    1. DD was fantastic when I got a migraine on Tuesday, very caring x

    2. My lovely friend C who came and whisked DD away for a sleepover so I could get better, despite already having 3 children in her house! Bless her x

    3. Have found more 'treasures' to give away from my messy house!

    4. YS bits for dinner last night as I was still exhausted and achy from my migraine and cba to cook a 'real' meal, so pre-prepared spuds, veggie sausages and veg it was, despite having real spuds in the house! But ooooh they were yummy.

    5. Good chat with a chum or two whilst at DD's school for their term's presentation - they acted, sang, danced, read out bits from stories, it was brilliant!

So, two very early nights and I'm feeling bright as a button again, hoorah!
  • Morning all, just popping in to post my 5 for yesterday (wed)before I get up & ready for work

    1. day off
    2. popped into town to get refund on DS trousers that dont fit and went into Mr T to get something for lunch. Bought a cheesy bagette and asked for 2 spicy chicken drumsticks but the kind lady said she would pop an extra one in ! Enough for 2 of us with salad and crusty bread :D

    3. DS applied for a job on Tue eve and had a reply next day inviting him to interview on monday :j Junior position in IT with local company £15000 a year... fingers crossed.

    4. chat with DF... he and DM are coming down on monday for 10 days stay so looking foward to that

    5. sunny spells and blowy so managed to get bedding and 1 load clothes dry on line

    Have a good day x

Been a bit of a full couple of days so had to take time out from the comp - never thought I'd hear myself say that!

    (((Hugs))) to all who want/need

    1. Visit to the vet yesterday was fun, learning how to inject the cat. Lovely (dishy ) vet answered all my questions, even ones I thought were a bit stupid, with enormous patience and in words of one syllable that this idiot could understand. We're on a quite radical method which will hopefully put Ying into remission in the not too distant future.
    2. Vet's nurse saved me a lot of money by providing all the paraphernalia I need free of charge, plus a dvd and record book. They're very efficient, so pleased DD pointed me in their direction.
    3. My first solo run this morning, wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be. Well not for me anyway, not sure Ying felt the same! Lots of treats afterwards, nibbles for her, a cup of EG for me
    4. Taking further advantage of the college 342 offer I've booked myself three non surgical facelifts - let's be honest, one isn't going to touch me! But for £5 it's worth an hour's entertainment -I have a feeling the only things it's going to lift are the eyebrows and corners of the mouths of the students :rotfl:
    5. Regardless of the icy winds the crocuses and snowdrops are now in full bloom, the seed pods I gathered from a shrub last year have grown into 6" shoots (no idea what they are, will have to take a pic when they flower for the gardening bods), the Winston Churchill daffs, late flowering type, are just coming into bud, the white lilac, plum and pear trees are smothered in buds, the blackberries and raspberries have little green sprouts and the loganberry has run away with itself! All is well.

Have a good rest of the day :)

All your garden news sounds rich and splendid sparrer. You can always em a pic to Scotsdales for i.d: http://www.scotsdalegardencentre.co.uk/ or rhs: http://www.rhs.org.uk/
[I redeem Tesco vouchers for membership]
Have same point of view with students at College for hair - I'm due Loyalty extras several times over[all stamped up]but never get round to it. Will do when things calm a little.
ccp and sparrer - Thankyou both re:gmail, which didn't finally do the tfr - dkw. Have re-started, so fingers crossed.

    1. No Spits again...9 am x-rays+other turned into all day palaver at diff. hosps/depts. Not back here till after 2230h. In view of M's enforced 70-stall reduction for today,my absence is okay.

    2. Dr H's comment about '100 day cough, as it was once known' now seems accurate. Googled and all the whooping cough/pneumonia stuff ties in. I am exhausted for no reason. Haven't dressed yet - reading, hot drinks, radio, redoing hwb atm. That's about it. But it still feels Dickensian and silly - instinct is to get up, get out, get on. Plenty to do, Heaven knows. Pleasure of sorts - I can be snug and slug and try not to care too much.

    3. As I wait for kettle to boil, watching/enjoying domestics among birds as they feed on what I've cubed and thrown out - more cheapie cheap w8rose multigrain loaf. Small dramas, vicious attacks, power games - endlessly compelling.

    4. Bought 'War Trash' at 1st hospital hier, from their Hospice stall.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Trash,
The same order of courage in author Ha Jin as in Qiu Xiaolong, if very differently. I'm about to begin another of his.

    5. More birdie bits hier - from 2 hospital carparks. Crows, stick ferrying, nest battles. Thought I must be mistaken, but no. Several times saw 3, 4, 5 birds all wrestling at a single nest. What dynamic? - don't know. Several males wanting single female as mate? Many contesting a preferred branch set? Couldn't tell, but it was fierce, unrelenting stuff near dusk.

    6. Scent of jonquils each time I enter kitchen.

    1. After posting at 5-whatever, i went back to bed for more cuddles with DD :)

    2. Got up still feeling very perky, haven't felt this good in weeks :)

    3. Great day at work, hugely busy but fun, and feel appreciated for what I do there :)

    4. Roll on pay day tomorrow!

    5. DD and I had fun at the library and I read a book to a lovely little girl who remembered my name from when I helped out in her class a few months ago :)

    6. Yummy very early dinner and DD and I are going to watch one of her birthday DVDs in a mo.

    7. Neighbour popped over with a box of choccies for us! He does this every now and then......very sweet but a bit unnerving as he seems to have a liking for me, which is a tad embarrassing....
  • Ampersand thanks for the good wishes for DS and for the 1000th post ! hadnt noticed :o was still half asleep this morning.

It sounds like you need to get some rest, no wonder you are exhausted. Spits can wait for better weather ...

    So far today

    1. quick drive to work, no traffic
    2. finished work 1.15pm
    3. popped into my hairdressers to pick up the nail oil she got me from wholesalers vat free day. My fingers/cuticles are very dry and skin is peeling
    4. out tonight with friends for a meal.
    5. Have printed off some vouchers so should be fairly :money:
College have agreed to DS request for monday off to attend interview. however they are now saying that to complete his course he has to stay in college until may (they previously said end of april). Will see what happens at interview - would hate him to leave college with no qualification after 2 years work but he has yet to be offered the job. Have told him we will cross that bridge when we come to it

Oh & it will take me an eon to get a free membership using emporium hooks. Still I have spent nearly £21 in the T and S this year. There is a nice T behind me, but it is faceless.

Well done Skintos. I see you are through the thousand posts this very day.

No pleasures as Ms Thwack is no here.
