Quick 5 ..or so, it's Wednesday morning and I need to go to work!
1. Dark in the mornings when I'm driving and cooler too ! Had to wear a cardigan and ...wait for it.....long trousers yesterday !! Back to crops today as its to be warmer!!
2. Loads of parrots around! Like zillions! I think as it's darker later/ earlier their roosting times have changed.....suits me I do like to see them.
3. Being thankful for my healthy children. Someone I know's child died in their sleep , it's just heartbreaking for them and their family and for all the people it affects.
4. Took DD 1's school shows back to shop.they had split and she only got them last month. Got a full refund.
5. The lily that I bought at weekend has opened outta the most beautiful deep red/ maroony colour .
Right I'd better get my shoes on and dash to work, busy day ahead but catching up with someone at end of shift ,so something to look forward to!!0 -
I know I'm not sparrer, but I'll answer anyway as I also moved from hotmail to gmail - you should be able to do this automatically - when I set up my gmail it asked if I wanted to transfer my contacts and archive from hotmail and, when I said yes, it went off and did it all for me. It took an hour or so but everything's now nicely filed in my gmail account - it even moved my filing categories over for me, which was quite clever.
Hope you can get it to work the same !
Thanks CCP, that's just as it happened for me.
Hugs to the poorlies
1. Washing dried on the line, enjoying watching it blowing in the sun and breeze
2. Got two rhubarb crowns, one early one late season, paid for with garden centre vouchers
3. Had my hair cut at college using a 20% off coupon they emailed me
4. College has a special offer of 342 treatments so have booked a massage, eyebrow shaping and pedi for £10. One of today's pleasures because I've paid for it
5. Managed to get 5 gift tags from my two Mother's Day cards

I’m feeling a bit blue tonight, I do normally manage the “bright side”, while I try and look on the bright side about DDad, sometimes after visits I can’t help but be a bit blue.
1.Work ok.
2.DH is being wonderful and going out his way, he told me he’s introduced the rescue chap to our lot today and it went well with all apart from one who didn’t wake up for the introductions and is possibly too old to care. So maybe he stays, I have said if he does he has to be neutered as soon as the deadline for possible owners wanting him back passes as he stinks.:o:p
3.Went to Asda, as it's on the way from DD and it was really bizarre lovely thou, it was like it was only us and 2 other couples in the whole store, we picked up some George clothes, and ambled around getting bits and pieces, and they were marking down, we were the only people there, and DH picked up the meat and we said that will do for the animals, and the lady overheard us and got chatting, and then we also got 2 lots of steak, some mince and chops, stir fry all marked to a £1 each, and lots of other things sandwiches, bread etc at a fraction of the price, the freezers are heaving.:D:D
4. Dinner is cooking away in the oven, very very late tonight.
5. Working from home tomorrow, nice to know I will be getting up at 8.50.:rotfl::)0 -
Evening
Pleasures for today,
1. Day off work today to help inlaws clear the last few things from OH's nans house. I came back with a recycled ironing board, I needed a new one so worked well.
2. FIL bought us lunch as a thank you, yummy carvery and very naughty sticky toffee pudding
3. Relaxing afternoon reading my book and having a little snooze
4. Packed lunches prepared for tomorrow so will have a bit more time in the morning.
5. NSD
hugs to all who need them0 -
Nuttybabe, you need to live where PK does!
Quick 5 before bed
1. Nice walk to and from the station, still desperate for it to be warmer but at least it was dry
2. Washed my hair this morning - because of one reason or another I hadn't washed it since Friday, so it felt minging but looked OK
3. From yesterday - DD went out on her first night-out-on-the-town-drinking-with-mates-kinda-thing last night. They went for a curry first, DD had 2 WKD;s (she hasn't really ever drunk alcohol much) and was ok. The would be errant boyfriend was there, but DD was ok and didn't disgrace herself (though when she came home she was all "but he's really lovely" stuff. Hmmph, they never learn these young girls do they?)
4. Teaching session was good and I left soon after - office is quiet at the mo as there are various study visits going on and some managers have gone overseas to set up some courses.
5. Sat and did some knitting watching Waterloo Road.
Nighty nighty all.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Pleasures for today...
1) A good sleep.
2) Following a thread on here, bought some Stardrops! Also got a new broom for sweeping outside and did a Sainsburys shop.
3) Went to see mum and dad so they could read bigger son's school report.
4) Came back and (armed with Stardrops) cleaned all the bathroom, the kitchen sink, top of cooker and the kettle!
5) Sons came home reasonably jolly.
6) Went to MrN's to retrieve my sons and ended up speaking to sons 3 and 4 which was nice.
7) Bought some mussels from Sainsburys so had a massive bowl of them for tea with plenty of HM bread.
Have been meaning to say Ampersand, on your recommendation I applied for a Waitrose card so I can get a free cup of tea now! Trouble is, the nearest Waitrose is 20 miles away and not in the town I would normally go to. But the card is there if i need it.0 -
Ok so this thead encourages me to look for silver linings. It's one in the morning. The fire alarm went off in my very posh polish hotel, notfor long. But then it goes again with the chap saying. 'Attention attention fire alarm cancelled there is no fire' 3 times. Reminds me of the bored pilot sketch http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=Hh_shsRfXqk&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DHh_shsRfXqk
Silver lining? It's brass monkeys out there so very relieved i dont have to trudge outside.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

My Five OS Pleasures
After McDonalds Westfield refused to serve me a Big Mac as asked I took my trade to Waitrose and brought a couple of submarine rolls plus ham so made delicious sweet meaty ham rolls instead of big mac or other convenience food which I love.
, I was so tired after doing another 5000+ steps I retired early 8pm instead of 10pm so meaning my sister and husband had time to themselves.
The children 1 little girl2 and a bit and baby boy are both lovely and I love them both. My sister threatned me with a babysling adventure with my beautiful baby boy after a raving bonding success with his sister over a year or so ago. Next time.
Other than that reading is the thing and exposing just how sensationalist, and attacking of working class TV is.
got to catch up.
My OS pleasures hope people are well and got to get to know you [all]better once again hugs to anyone who needs them.:beer::money::money::cool::cool::cool:#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

I also kept within my meagre budget with transfers etc after making massive pay day purchases of yet another slow cooker and hopefully my problem solving staub iron casserole as I have had it with le creuset.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
