    And it's bedtime!

    1. Busy day at work....was rather crazy! However, been paid again so just need to keep going! Was supposed to catch up with one of the girls but was not surprised when she didn't show....I had already told the others this! She did text but half hour after supposed to meet.....oh well! Sat with one of the other girls who was waiting to start her shift and then was asked to go for a beer with 2 young chappies..... Now that doesn't happen everyday!!!

Declined their kind offer and came home!!

    2. Got 2 loads of washing dried on line, this won't happen for much longer now the weather is a changing!

    3. Made a rather nice Thai green curry....4/5 of us liked it and ate it all up....OH said it tasted soapy and didn't eat it all up!

    4. There were about 30 Little corellas ( google 'em!) on my tree tonight, I ran upstairs to take a photo , then just as I changed camera lense over they had flown away. They made me very happy though!

    5. Sat outside this morning on my break and read through your pleasures which was a pleasure! not too hot for me now!

    Have A lovely day. :)

2.Two lots of washing dried on the line - I got it indoors just before the rain started . OH uses gallons of washing liquid for each load, so glad I did it.

3.Terrier sitting today as Mum went out - both had a snooze at lunch time.

4.Fake away Chinese take away tonight. All chopped up ready to go.

    5. Brother dropped the Skyfa*l DVD off last night , whilst singing the theme tune through the letter box at me....badly, I might add. Will watch this later if I can stay awake.

Back to work tomorrow:( then off Friday though:D

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A
  • Evening all.

I see the mud rats are being treated like they should be treated. Note at Rugby we have two stewards for 800 fans. One on the gate, the other serving beer.

Good to see newbies showing the fast to fat joints the muscle and getting a proper stuffing, roll and ham from w8flowers. Just had my free cuppa down theres, and Roadkill bun.

No pleasure today as Ms Whip is not with me.

Note to newbies. I am ruff, you get is socked to yous. Other has and still do.

    Great work week chicken:beer:

I normally feel guilty at getting reductions but when it was literally only us chatting away to the lady there didn’t feel bad at all, counted up the receipt 31 reduced things. Blimey.:p

I had one of those fantastic ideas thought I must note that down and action it later this week, but now I am sitting here looking at my diary and I haven’t the foggiest what I was going to write, but it was really important at the time!:o:o

1.Worked from home, and got lots done I have been trying to do it for 4 days lots of things at work mean I can’t sit and concentrate, nice to get out of the way.;)
    2. Lunch, fresh granary bread, salad, tomatoes and grilled bacon. Delicious.
3.Applied for more jobs, one gave me a no within 30 mins, nice of them to bother telling me I guess, hey ho keep plodding on.
4.The washing is up to date for 5 mins.
    5. NSD / NPD
    6. Slobbing out in wearing clothes that would be classed as “home clothes”. Did do some pampering deep conditioned my hair while waiting for a face pack to do its thing.:D
7.Dinner will be a bit random using rtc salad and filling in a jacket spud, with fish.

Hope everyone is keeping warm, my only consolation is that I could have been on a study visit to Stockholm where it is -9

    For today

    1. Got paid to stay at home today - but Shhh cos it's not official. I was taking back some overtime, but as far as work was concerned I was "working at home" - which is true, in a way.
    2. Cleaned the whole house so a little more in the "big holiday" fund.
3 I didn't spend any money (though the kids had their weekly "school dinner" day)
    4. Nice spicy chicken dinner
    5. Did some knitting this morning watching the last of series 1 of Waterloo road.

What a very homey / uneventful day that was - just what I like.:D
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Evening all.

BoP - glad you and Jenny are pretty much OK.

ampersand - I'm pleased to hear you got your new email working. One piece of advice with gmail - the spam filter seems to be a bit over-enthusiastic, so keep an eye on the contents of your spam folder (it's hidden away at the end of the file list, under 'more options') - mine keeps marking wanted emails as spam, even after I've asked it several times not to.

mhagster - your lily sounds lovely. :) I wish I could grow them, but it's not a good idea if you own cats as the pollen is poisonous to them. :(

    1) Toasted wholemeal bread with butter and apricot jam for breakfast. It's one of my dad's favourites so there's a nostalgic childhood feeling to it as well as tasting nice. :)

    2) Checked my bank balance and, thanks to some careful frugality, it looks like I'll make it to the end of the month with my account still in the black. :money:

    3) So I celebrated by wandering into a nearby bookshop and treating myself to some new books. :o They were on special offer and I got points on my loyalty card so that makes it money saving though, right? (No, not really! :o)

    4) Tried on the clothes I bought in a recent sale and everything fits - one of the pairs of trousers is a little bit tight but I should lose some weight when my foot's finally fixed so they'll fit better after a while.

    5) Made a spicy sausage casserole for dinner, with enough left for lunch tomorrow; tonight's portion was accompanied by rather too much garlic bread, which won't do much to help #4. :o 'twas very nice, though.

    Have a good evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

    Evening

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Packed lunches and breakfast for everyone today
    2. NSD was very nearly tempted to buy some crisps this afternoon but found some breadsticks in my drawer at work so had those instead.
    3. Have made a batch of chocolate chip muffins and a batch of blueberry muffins for a guiding event tomorrow.
    4. Made up a toiletry hamper as a raffle prize for tomorrow using things that both DD and me are allergic to and a few sale bits. Have a very nice prize for very little money :money:
    5. Washing dried on the line today
    6. Made OH a chicken pasta salad for lunch tomorrow and cooked DD a sausage roll for her lunch.

Hugs to all who need them

    5 for today!

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Ebay T shirt came in the post. It's getting awkward with clothes because both sons are so nearly the same size so they both lay claim to anything new that arrives!

    3) Went swimming with my brother and my mum and swam 720 metres.

    4) Had some nice soft boiled eggs for dinner. Just finished cooking them when I noticed the HALF A HM LOAF had vanished! Which means one small child ate all that before going to school - on top of their bowl of cereal! :-D So no soldiers for me.

    5) Sorted out the garden a bit - sweeping, emptying the water butt (which is always full given that it is always raining) etc.

    6) Brother came round.

    7) Massive tea. I cooked gammon, roast potatoes, carrots, peas, stuffing and gravy. Also did a chocolate and prune tart that I have when I go to the Olive Branch (nice place in Ludlow). Pastry flan base then a mixture of chopped prunes, plain chocolate, treacle etc. Should be brandy but orange juice in this house. All cooked up for 30 mins then a topping of a few more chopped prunes, treacle, cocoa powder and icing sugar which gives it a really glossy finish.

    8) Been reading Jo Brand's 2nd autobiography today.

Will be using my Waitrose card tomorrow, Ampersand. There isn't a branch locally but there is one between here and smaller son's school. We are going to the dentist first thing (15 mile round trip west) then I will have to drop bigger son at school (15 mile round trip north) then smaller son (60 mile round trip east!!)
