    1. Stuck to my lower calorie day (ha - I first wrote lover :rotfl:) - decided that whilst the "fasting" 5:2 diet probably isn't for me, eating fewer calories a couple of days a week is.
    2. Additional teaching session was ok - I sounded like I knew what i was talking about
    3. Like CCP - a nice walk through the park to and fro the station. Don't usually get chance to do that of a thursday

Lots to catch up with, will do so eventually.

    1. Catching learners on phone.
    2. Cheltenham Day 1. Quevega and Hurricane Fly.
    3. Cheltenham Day 2. Sprinter Sacre.
    4. Cheltenham Day 3. Cue Card, Holywell and Richie McLernon giving a special mention to the late and much missed Campbell Gillies who won that race last year, a few months before he died, on the eve of his 21st.
    5. Looking forward to Cheltenham Day 4.

    Morning

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Lift to work off friend so didn't have to get the bus
    2. Fun and sociable day at work. We had a charity bake day for Red Nose Day so lots of yummy food and time to chat to people at work plus raised quite a bit on money. Will be doing the same today but will try not to have such a sugar high, must resist having too much cake :o
    3. Nice walk home from work burning off some of the sugar. Saw lots of parakeets in the trees on the walk home. They look lovely but they are so noisy glad they haven't taken to sitting in the tree at the bottom of my garden as think the pleasure of seeing them would soon wear off.
    4. Bought my mum a kindle book that knew she would really like. I don't normally pay that much for a book on the kindle but it was worth it as she is having a tough time at the moment and she appreciated the thought.
    5. DD being much more confident in herself. A new student at placement has tried to bully her a bit but she just ignored it and got on with her work which was noted and commented on by the manager telling her how well she had handled the situation. New girl was given a talking to so hopefully that will put a stop to it as she is so much happier these days.

Hugs to all who need them

    Good afternoon all !

Skintos - good luck with your quest to reduce your hours.I am on a similar quest ;)

Kittikins - (hugs) have you jarred yourself following your falls in the snow?

PK - hope you get thejob x

    5 for yesterday

    1. Work ok

    2. All called into a meeting to say that there will be some changes in the team - a secondment post coming up and a new part time post .This got me thinking....

    3. Last working day until next thursday as have some annual leave to take .

4.Terrier crying her head off as she thought she was not coming over to my house for the evening . We relented and had her for a couple of hours as we love having her here.

    5. Tired and fell asleep at around 8.30pm I blame Di Caprio et al.

    5 for today

    1. One of many days off

    2. As there may be an opportunity for me to drop a day at work ,I put in a tentative email request (Skintos!!) to my line manager and asked if we could talk it over when I am next in .It would create enough surplus hours to fund a new full time post instead of the part time one we have funding for. Who knows ...nothing ventured and all that.

3.Went to a second hand furniture store run by a charity - got 2 dining chairs not matching but very similar - both very old oak ( I think) wheelbacked chairs for wait for it.. £8 for the pair! They look fab around my antique pine dining table .Need a bit of tlc and wood glue and like all other random things in my house they will fit in nicely :D.

    4. Cheltenham - wow what a mud bath .

    5. Roast chicken for tea tonight , bought for us by my Mum . All veg. prepared and ready to go so i can have a snooze.

Have a lovely day all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

I'm glad yesterday's phone-post worked OK - the browser on my phone threw a wobbly just after I hit 'post' so I couldn't check until this morning whether it had gone up or vanished to wherever lost posts go.

sparrer - how's your tuddy pat today? Fingers crossed she's OK.

Kittikins - hope you're feeling less bruised and stiff today.

    1) A slice of mixed berry sponge cake from the Comic Relief cake sale at work. As everyone knows, cakes eaten for charitable purposes contain no calories, and mine had fruit in it as well so I reckon that makes it a health food. ;)

    2) Popped home in my lunch break to receive a parcel, and arrived one minute into the one hour delivery slot to find the van just pulling away. Luckily the driver was nice enough to acknowledge my desperate waving and stopped to hand over the parcel. :T

    3) Treated myself to a bunch of daffs, which are now sitting in my favourite fish vase, an item which always makes me smile even when it's empty.

    4) Finally managed to get hold of a company which had sent me a damaged product, and they've offered to send me a replacement as long as I post the damaged one back as soon as the new one arrives. Fine by me!

    5) Fish and chips for dinner tonight. From the freezer, not the chippy, but still .

    Have a nice evening, everyone.
Back after a very long break!

    1. Cake at work which someone had purchased for comic relief.

    2. It's Friday!

    3. Survived today - finding it tough with a new collegue whose attitude I dislike but she seems ok with our line manager and the boss. So they are implying it is my fault and I ought to be more mature about it all.
She tells me what to do and she has no experience in the job.

    4. A friend phoned and had lovely chat.

    5. A cheque in the post
