Ah PK, sympathy, .. vegi "kievs" ... I have experienced Cauldron Foods in the past, inevitably as a YS bargain, when enough time has elapsed since the last experience for me to forget what they are like. The same applies to their tofu... or anybody's tofu...
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
  • Nope. Gone foe a tiger. Pub internet. No, seems it beer the iPaddy thingy.

Hugs everyone, there's always the university of life we can attend. No charge. Just like the thirty minute free gym. Park at the back. The walk of five mins each way over the weak add up.

    Beer finished and nite all.

Mhagster - loving the light mornings and lighter nights! Spring has now sprung :)

Kittikins - crap seems to come all at once - no idea why it just does!!

    1. Had a huge blitz on the study this morning and all the useless but keep just in case paperwork has all gone now. We have burnt quite a bit of it on the burner tonight. The study has about one eighth of the paperwork left in there now.

    2. The spaniel had her dog grooming session so dropped her off and picked her up. Smells nice as well.

    3. Won an Emma Bridgewater Mice At Play mug which I have been chasing around since being discontinued last year and got it at an even bargain price :T something else for the dresser!

    4. A beautiful bunch of tulips from DH when he came home from work tonight just because he felt like it apparently :) was out and about thought of me and bought them.

    5. The sun has shone again today, had some cuddles with my boys this morning and the evening sun came and landed in the sitting room tonight with a lovely sunset.
Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money :D

Sparrer how did you get to be such a wise [STRIKE]old[/STRIKE] bird ?

sparrer.... its the DS who's going to be busy decorating.... he's hoping for money to go out with his friends this week whilst they are on half term from college :rotfl:

Years of experience of 'disasters' and learning that nothing is so bad it can't be fixed with time, patience and sometimes, unfortunately, a £ or two. Can't be bothered to get in a spin about things any more, got to think of my bp :rotfl:

Perhaps I could borrow your DS at the same time as I borrow katholicos' DS, could do with some strapping young lads to do a few odd jobs around the place ;)

Thanks Sparrer, Skinty and all xx I know, they're all quite trivial things really and when I'm not feeling so grumpy, most are easily fixable. Tomorrow will be a better day I'm sure, it usually is!

You'll be fine when your lovely DD is back, and you can sit down and make a plan together about what you want from a new home and the surrounding area. Just take your time, the world isn't going to crumble this week ;)

Evening all - I am tucked up in my bed after a nice bath-y, like a toddler :D

Kittikins - sorry about your catalogue of woe, hopefully in the words of Scarlet O'Hara "tomorrow is another day"
Mhagster - I rather like the idea of Geocaching. I must look into it.
    Hello, Whitesatin

    For today

    1. My "wing it" lectures went very well, amazingly
    2. I worked out that in 6 weeks this year, I have earned 5 weeks overtime. I will certainly ensure I get a good proportion of that back. My part time job has been virtually full time
    3. DD had a lovely day at a new friends house
    4. OH and DS have had a lovely day visiting railways in Devon and aren't even back yet.
    5. I have had a nice bathy and am in bed! :D

    Night all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Frith, it's my view that most parents are darned odd, I know mine are.Not sure if that's much consolation but I find the ones with 'normal' doting parents are the exception. Present company excepted of course!
Kittikins, sorry you're so fed up. Can sympathise re the irritations, thank goodness for the pleasures. Even getting out of bed is truly an achievement on days like that, pat on the back is deserved.
CCP - well done on that DULL job!
VJs mum you deserve that bath and bed, phew to all that overtime!

    1. Much lighter this evening, felt really spring like after such a sunny day
    2. Found a meeting venue which had eluded me for weeks (not literally that one, just couldn't find any suitable one for weeks!)
    3. Episode 2 of the Killing series 1. I am not much of a viewer of such things but this is amazing.
    4. Excellent tea of 'Cold weather hotpot' from BBC goodfood again. It's a total winner, real comfort food, to eat with a spoon :D
    5. The peace of a house where all others are in bed. Bliss!

Sparrer, you can borrow him for sure, but i warn you, he has hollow legs!

    My five for today...

Bit tricky this as have had severe 'stomach flu' for the past 24 hours, but will try...

    1. Immodium.

    2. Toilet paper.

    3. Flushing toilet.

    4. Thankfulness that the bathroom is situated next to my bedroom.

    5. Hot water bottles to soothe the cramps.

Sorry if that was all TMI lol!!

But i truly am thankful for all of those things!

Katholicos hope you're feeling better now! Poor thing!

Well, for the first time it weeks it is a pleasantly cool 18o.....people are chittering in the cold! We have endured a very hot spell, the grassland and vegetation are just tinder hence the fires. Luckily it was contained last night, I think a few houses were burned down but no-one was hurt. Poor kangaroos bouncing all over the place confused ! It was about 3 suburbs away from us, we weren't in any danger but a bit scarily close for comfort.

OH had an appointment today ,so I had an hour off work to go with him and make sure he was being totally honest with the doctor. Dr wanted him to go in to hospital for a few days which OH declined ....he has 2 days to show improvement or in he goes.....the only pleasure in that is this particular hospital is near here and next to my work. change in medication and some dietary changes to try....fingers crossed as he cannot continue at the level of poor health for much longer. We had a couple of amusing moments whilst we waited!

Back to work and no idea why but we were much quieter than usual, so day passed without any dramas and straight out the door at home time.

My girls had a swimming carnival at school today so they chittered in the cold......typical hot every other day! They had fun, was a non uniform day And to dress in house colours.

I succumbed to a packet of crisps and really enjoyed them....that was a guilty pleasure!

Having fish and chips for tea....just chips without the fish for me......no cooking required and for once I don't really care!

Got a $60 increase in my salary! I had queried an error in the amount of hours I was being actually paid for and this has been rectified, so $120 extra a month!

Remembering my lovely granny who died 27 years ago today. She was a very special lady , full of love , a wee bit daft . I was almost 17 when she died and I would have loved to have known her as an adult.

Have a lovely day, it's Tuesday and spring /autumn just around the corner!
  • Good morning all !

Katholicos - you have my sympathy x

Kittikins- this is not like you -You are usually Little Miss. Positive ((hugs))

PK - you must need the ZZZZZ's x I do like the Cauldron mushroom burgers though;)

    Sparrer- you are adorable xx

Frith - my grandfather never went to any of his children's weddings - he was not estranged or anything he just didn't fancy it , or the funerals of his brothers and sisters:o . Or going to see his son get his OBE. Some people are just very set in their ways - he was a different bloke though when on his allotment with his chooks !

Have a good day all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A
