    Evening all.

BoP - I say it every time, but your steamed puddings always look fantastic!

mcculloch - I think my tutor was actually a bit sorry to see me drop out as my 2nd essay apparently go the highest mark she's ever given to a student on this course. It clearly wasn't going to last, though, so I think you're right that it'll be a relief for both of us that I've dropped out now rather than struggling on and under-performing.

    1) NSD and NPD - I'm getting good at this. :smug face: :o

    2) Long, long lie-in this morning - dropping out of that course has taken a weight off my mind that I didn't fully realise was there.

    3) HM bread with butter and peanut butter for a belated breakfast - it's high in fat, salt and other things you shouldn't eat lots of, but it tastes so good. :o

    3) The first of this year's daffodils is nearly out in flower - one more day of sunshine should do it. :j

    5) Gave the bathroom a much-needed clean.

    6) And then replaced a bar of soap I really didn't like - as soon as it got damp it turned to sludge and kept blocking the sink  - with one of the posh ones I got in a post-Xmas sale, which is so strongly perfumed (in a good way) that it doubles as an air freshener.

    7) Watching football this afternoon - no shortage of goals, anyway, with several 4s and 5s in the results list. :)

    8) Used half of a free sample sachet of deep-conditioner on my hair. :money: I like the results, but won't be buying it as the strong vanilla perfume is too much for me - I don't particularly enjoy smelling like a cupcake!

    9) Changed the bed so I've got nice clean sheets to sleep on tonight - always a pleasure. :)

    10) The bar of stainless steel 'soap' that removed the smell of BBQ sauce from my hands: I love BBQ sauce but I don't want to use it as perfume, thank you very much!

Oops, I've gone over my allocation of pleasures - never mind, eh? ;) Have a great Sunday evening, everyone. :)
Back after a very long break!

Chicken - no snow here, but was on the hills of Derbyshire / Staffordshire, especially by the dry stone walls.
CCP - thanks for reminding me to put the kids bedding in the TD to finish off.
BoP - that pud looks amazing.
Chicken (again) - when you said "Wa*ehouse" I read that as "Warhorse"!! :p
Thanks, Frith and Kittikins for the "Now Show" reminder. I will save till tomorrow.

I have been marking all day - quite literally - so lets see what pleasures I can conjure

    1. Woke up at 5.30 with OH's "Tamworth" impressions. The pleasure is that I went into spare room bed and managed to sleep till 7.30 :T
    2. Facebook, which has kept me going all day. Including me writing silly rhymes charting the progress of my marking. OH says I shouldn't give up the day job to become the new Pam Ayres
    3. Slow cooked lamb shanks with curried spices for tea - and enough meat left over for a "freezer curry surprise" dish at some point in the future.
    4. More food - carrot and coriander soup for lunch. I seem to have bought far more carrots than is necessary and it is amazing how quick you can knock up a soup.
    5. 2 glasses of red wine with tea - delicious. I rarely drink these days (unless I'm flying) and red wine is very rare. We have a selection left over from a "posh" delivery and it was worth every penny. God knows what the lecture I'm about to write will be like, though. Who cares

    Good evening all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Good job I was well steamed today!!!

Watching another downloaded John Wayne. Boy he can pack a punch. Just lumped the other guy and he flew into his gals car, breaking the axle and up ended his gal. She comes out, gets bag of gran and tries to slog other man, nd downs JW in one. But like a weeble, he stands up right again without a hair turned. 2. Tinned food, Tinned fruit for breakfast, ambrosia pudding for lunch, soup for dinner and yup prob more tinned fruit for dessert lol.:rotfl:
    3. I didn’t mind not doing much today, but it does get to me in the evening as effectively not using any energy at all, hoping I might be able to venture out for the first time in over a week now maybe tomorrow or Tues just to see how it goes baby steps.
    4. I’m also tempted by a top in the Debenhams sale, would like to get prepared.

    1. Soaked some strips of rag in vinegar and wrapped them round the taps before bed last night. This morning any furry build-up is gone and I have lovely shiny taps
    2. A ys Ginsters pastie for lunch, haven't had one for a year or more. Heated half as it was the large one (piggy), then went back for the second half :o. I shan't eat another thing til tomorrow!
    3. Popped into Mr M for some fruit this afternoon, they had a dozen Valentines red roses reduced from £10 to 49p. Plenty of life left in them and they look beautiful on the dining table :)
    4. Watching Natural World, it filmed the most amazing air lift of rhino's to their new, safe home away from poachers :T. A very sad fact, a rhino is killed for its horn every 14 hours :(
    5. I didn't need to turn the lights on until after 5.30pm
    6. Got busy with the @r@ldite. The laptop casing is mended (but I'm doing a belt and braces job and not taking the sticky tape off), glued my cracked tickling stick together, and repaired one of the cooker knobs with glue and a tightly wound piece of garden wire. It works perfectly well, so not going to spend the £11 they wanted for a new one!
    7. Sunshine all day. Not counting my chooks but it's looking good for the next few days, hope there's not going to be any more of the white stuff.

    Sweet dreams :)

    2. So much sun, it makes me so happy!
    3. Clothes drying on the line.
    4. Long sleep on the sofa, I love a good nap.
    5. Watched Every Which Way But Loose, very silly and good fun.

Sparrer, great tip about the vinegar and taps. Will definately give that a go.

    My 5 for today:

    1. We had lunch with mum

    2. Managed about 20 minutes in the garden, pottering about.

    3. Today was nsd number 11

    4. Have drawn up a rough garden plan which will require DS's muscle power, and my direction!

    5. Spent a quiet hour listening to the lovely bones audio book and making card embellishments.
