Love the smilie of the pc ccp and yes sparrer glad they werent calling on you
    1) did the washing at the weekend and oh moaning about my not separating the washing. Tee hee i might just get out of doing it for another 5 years
    2) dropped off 2 carriers stuffed full of past papers at the school. Love it when things i'm decluttering can be used by others
    3) bread a little stale so made cheese and tom toastie for lunch. Forgot how lish they are
    4) finished off soosij stoo with rice for supper. Mine had the last of the xmas sprouts. Nom nom
    5) reverbed 7p and remembered to claim bus ticket (£1.30) from morning meeting. Much cheaper than a taxi. Oh and my feet are so toasty in my new boots. Would have walked back to office but was raring to go after the meeting.
Rather nervous about tomorrow evening but dont let bop know. Or we'll never hear the last. Had a stoodent today email me with probs over their tables. She sed she was being a bit thick. I sed the only thing that's thick is school custard. But dear bop i was thinking of your custard at the time :P

    Evening all.

I can't use silver as it goes black - instantly i touch it.
Hope the poorlies feel better soon

    Todays

    1. 9 o'clock start was OK. DD went off at 7.30 with barely a grumble. My 9 starts mean that I can't do the school run so she has to leave an hour earlier. Can't be helped
    2. DS has talked to me rather a lot today - you have to be grateful for crumbs when you have teenagers.
    3. Teaching session went OK - given that I hadn't done my homework last night, I think i got away with it.
    4. Managed to fit in lunch with friend between my morning work and her afternoon work
    5. Left over roast chicken dinner for, er dinner :p, just as nice as yesterdays!

More homework tonight if i drag myself away from tripadvisor.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Bleurgh kind of day today. Got nothing done except a bit of wallowing in self pity!

    Struggling for five today;
    1. Penne arrabiatta for tea. Meal plan said tuna pasta bake but I couldn't be bothered to even do that and I had the arrabiatta sauce ready in the freezer so we had that. Thank god for homemade things in the freezer, would have been a take away otherwise!

    2. Early bath, have been in my pjs since five o' clock :rotfl:

    3. Made a start on February's meal plan in preparation for Sundays big shop.

    4. Going to make myself a hot chocolate...

    5. ...then head to bed, tomorrow is a new day, lets hope I wake up with some energy!

    Evening

    Missmoneysave - (((Hugs)))
CCP, Frith and Mhagster - Get well now

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Another day of being organised and packed lunches and breakfasts for all.
    2. LSD, just spent 94p today. Treat myself to a bread roll to have with my soup and bought a packet of low fat biscuits on SO for when I need a treat at work. Hopefully will keep me away from the vending machine and snack box.
    3. DD helping me prepare veggies tonight so I could get dinner done and some HM soup for lunches, she wouldn't do the butternut squash though:cool:. She did the last one and learn't what a pain they are.
    4. Snap with PK and had meatballs and pasta for dinner. Also got two lots of soup done and roasted a chicken to use in wraps and probably a dinner this week.
    5. Nice chat on the phone with Dad, he normally hands the phone straight over to mum but as she was in the bath he chatted to me.
    6. Reverbed 10p today

Hugs to all who need them

    1. Just back from silversmithing and know I will Big LIKE. Young[well, -er than moi, as everyone seems these days]Tutor is dyslexic but has just finished a commission for Faberg-e-acute-e, having won a competition for design of sth[she did a candelabra: Design was her 1st Degree], not knowing that 2 Fab-peeps were on the adjudication committee. Wonder if I am allowed to do this:

    2. Saw little bunnies along the verges in the dark, looking very shivery, fur blown every which way.

    3. Hottie will be filled when I finish this. Kettle has boiled.

    4. Heard Paul McCartney on the Food Programme and he was excellent in substance and style, sounded thoroughly grounded and likeable, still happily wed in memory to Linda and family life, regardless of present status. Please listen:

    5. I'm liking Miles Jupp a lot, too:

Their Annual Walk is next Sunday.

    7. NOT A PLEASURE to receive a Parcel Force demand for £19.65 Customs and Import duty for my ordinary pair of sheepy boots<NZ, already subject of an order !!!!-up and delay. By contrast, pukeko gummies arrived, simply posted, in under 4 days flat, ordered some hours later. Sent an email - pleasure of exquisitely disciplined rant under full steam.

    8. Hearing Paul McC and reading Hugh FW at w/e, am entirely decided and comfy about No Meat Mondays and Fasting Days each week. Starting now.

Well-ness in abundance to mhags and OH, ccp, Frith, mms and all who may be ailing in any way...no justification necessary, no case to prove. Come in under the warm and hot choc cosy brollie. It's a place where content washes over you.

    Rather hard today. Here goes:
    1. Hairdresser appreciated note of panic in my voice when I said my roots were horrendous and fitted me in today. No-one else thought they were as bad as I did but I thought they were:eek:
    2. Oven risotto enjoyed by all
    3. No arguments today (yup, there's more to that than meets the eye;) but it's a big one)
    4. Someone who owes me money rang to check if I'd got it yet (I hadn't but at least it shows willing)
    5. Oh, yes, I did actually go for a short (very short) run today for the first time since it snowed, and it was a joy, really. I'd forgotten!

DD I'm pleased they weren't calling on me too, but sorry for
katholicos who was visited by them
CCP I love your Mr Plod, how did you find that?!
caroline I so know that feeling, nothing worse than looking like a badger. Glad the hairdresser could fit you in
Birdwatchers - no sparrers about at the weekend here either, DD who was doing the RSPB survey wanted to know why I didn't go and visit her on Sunday so she'd have the biggest one of all to log!
All poorlies are to get well now please

    1. Woke to a beautiful morning again, long may it last
    2. Toodled along to DD's. She's been making patchwork rag bags from old pillowcases to sell when the car boot season starts again. They're gorgeous, she should raised some much needed cash with them
    3. We went to lunch in a local pub and had jacket pots with chilli and cheese, and a cuppa. Resisted the puddings . Discussed her forthcoming 40th birthday, I'm hoping DS will be able to get here as it's his 31st on the same day (bad planning, or no planning! But it gets it all over with at once ;)) and she so wants him to come for that weekend. It's a long time since they've been together on their birthdays
    4. Asked DD what she wants for her birthday, she's been hoping to go to a rather expensive hairdresser so told her to book it and I'll pay.
    5. Best of the day - I had the sitting room redecorated a couple of months ago but despite searching on line, in shops etc., I couldn't find any curtains to suit. I've been carrying a sheet of card with the paint colour on it in my bag for ages. Driving to the restaurant for luch we saw a shop advertising 'everything must go', went in and my curtains were hanging on a display in front of me. The finances are only just getting straight, and I have to have a new motor for the windscreen wipers (it wasn't the fuse, as I'd hoped it would be) but what do you do? They were there, the shop was closing down, they had both sizes I need....and they're absolutely beautiful, I can't stop looking at them!

    Sleep tight :)
