    1. Mum's first session of radiotherapy went so well she didn't know when it was over and the radiologist had to tell her it was finished.

    2. On way home mum wanted to nip to tescoo and while there she treated me to fish and chips in the cafe. Very nice.

    3. A small order arrived, very happy me.

    4. heard a good piece of news that, should it come to fruition, will be enormously beneficial to me.

    5. Crocheted about 4 small granny squares while at the hospital today. Had a little chat with an older couple about my crochet. Hospital and crochet go well together. When dad was acutely ill (on his way out of this world, unbeknownst at the time, to us) ii crocheted a whole blanket over the 6 week period he was in hospital. And it was a large blanket.

Katholicos my best wishes to your mum and her radiotherapy treatments , we went through it all last year with OH. Plenty of rest and TLC

My police at the door story: about 3 years ago, just heading out the door to walk the dog early Saturday morning, when a police car pulled up and out step 2 young police officers. I was waiting for OH coming home from a trip to New York. ......absolutely sinking feeling when they ask where my husband is......panic over when we discovered they were looking for the previous house owner who was a police man. He should have been on duty !

    Anyway today's pleasures :

Got my tickets to go and see Sarah Milliken during the Melbourne Comedy Festival in March.

Work was mad, crazy and was glad to leave! Left bang on time with no guilt whatsoever!

The tawny frogmouth birds are back in the garden! In a different tree.

It rained last night, what a lovely sound....not heard since I was home in Scotland.....a reassuring sound. It has hardly made a difference to the garden the soil is still brick hard.

Took 3 bags of stuff to charity shop and just had to have a wee look round....oops, 1 pair of jeans ( 1/2 price ) , one Gap cardi, one photo frame and the most gorgeous bed linen set . It's been on a hot wash and out in the line, and ironed.

Sweet and sour chicken and veg for tea. Portion of chicken in the freezer!

    Nearly bedtime for me!

    Have a lovely day x

  • 3. Discovered an old memory card amidst the rubbish in the shed. It had lots of photos and videos of Ian as a tiny baby puppy :heart2:

    Cute!:)

    1. Chip buttie for lunch.

    2. Hoovered downstairs and mopped the floors, it will look nice until the dogs go out to the garden and put paw prints all over the place again.

    3. The weather is so mild that I turned off the heater upstairs.

    4. Did some general tidying around the house. I might go and buy a bunch of flowers to brighten up the place.

    5. I realised we had a bit of extra money so I bought a few treats in Tesco. They do a lovely vegan lemon cheesecake which I will have for pudding today.:EasterBun
  • Well yesterday's low mood has completely vanished. Woke up with energy in abundance so...

    1. Cleaned the entire downstairs, music on, furniture moved out and every inch swept, wiped and shining!

    2. Lovely bowl of hm sweet potato and lentil soup for lunch- I'd earnt it with all that cleaning.

    3. First time using my new Hoover. It was immense, amazing suction. Did make me realise how dusty I'd let the floor get though :o

    4. Caramel cappuccino and a read through the OS boards.

    5. Off to make weetabix brownies and maybe some fairy cakes as I have some eggs that need using.

    3. Terrier waiting patiently looking out of the window at the bottom of the stairs (the only one she can see out of as she is so tiny)at my Mums house as I was a little later home than usual. Went crazy when I pulled into the drive way .This makes my day:)

Thanks so much for well wishes for mum (((hugs to you all for your kindness)))

    My pleasures for today:

    1. Dropped on a parking space close to the cancer centre.

    2. Fixed mums telly, by pressing a few buttons on her remote. LOL! Ad she had just bought a new ariel cable thinking it might be that. She can get a refund for it though, o probs.

    3. Cheese salad sandwich for tea. Kids helping themselves. Too tired so in bed now, collie on bed snoozing next to me. Bliss.

    4. Nsd number 16 today. Hoorah.

    5. Did some more crochet at hospital, got people chatting again LOL! Helps me pass the time, and helps the chatters chat ;).

    Kathorlics hugs to mums.
    MsPennySave. You great big sucker.

Golly, I so much wanna to say Blow Job!

Ooh, luvvilies, chicken is in the club. No tv day 29. Nor BoP is bullucks excreta free. Sat watching toads at breakwindfast this morn awed in spoon drooping android at some reporter in the field. Details no doubt in next private eye.

Only one good thing about today, it is me vs Dundee Doll. One of us will go to bed happy, and it ain't the lassie.

Sits expurgated waiting for gangs to come and get up at me!!

This post is politically incorrect and sexist. Boy I means it.

    Evening all.

I've had an irritating sort of day today - I Reverbed a penny but lost it before I got home, I've lost my key to the main building and will probably get charged for a replacement, and I'm being pestered by my energy company who need meter readings - which I can't get until I get a replacement key - and they "can't promise" that they won't call me everyday until I provide them.

    Anyway,

    1) NSD.

    2) Took my phone to the network shop and they couldn't get the GPS to work either, and said it might be faulty. On the way back to the office I had a brainwave and turned it off and on again, and, hey presto, it works now! :D

    3) Discovered, courtesy of the office biscuit tin, that ginger removes the nasty taste in my mouth from the antibiotics. Yay - an excuse to eat biscuits! :rotfl:

    4) Downloaded an app that lets me do shopping lists which I can access both from my PC and from my phone. Little things... ;)

    5) The last of the weekend's takeaway pizza for dinner tonight, with broccoli cheese to make it a bit different.

sparrer - I just G00gled 'police smiley' and that came up - the site's called something like zaazu or zazzu - I confess I didn't take much notice once I'd found what I wanted! :o

Get well to everyone feeling under the weather, and have a nice evening everyone. :)
Back after a very long break!

    1. More chilled morning than usual as I was out at my course today so we had an extra 10 minutes in bed :)

    2. OH and I are going to look into getting tickets for Quadrophenia!! As he's disabled, we'll only have to pay for one ticket (or hopefully he'll pay for it!)

    3. YS computer speakers in MrT's

    4. A colleague stayed late at work to take minutes at a meeting for me, so I hope she'll like the Rolo chocolate bar I've bought her to say thanks, if not......nomnomnom, it won't last long with me around!

    5. A friend picked DD up from school, took her to dance and then her daughter and DD rampaged around their house til I got there. And she's doing the same next week, yippee!

    6. Have sold a second DVD, will only get about 40p after postage for this one, but what the heck, every penny helps!
