4 Just want to stand, shout, wave, jump. You name it and BoP will do so. Told you last night the boy was meaning it. Now move along the bus now, squeeze in. Here we go on the joyride. Now for a c[_]
3 See we have had another waste of life. If you are going for a drink, make sure your friends get you home. I wait another mother for the next mothers sorrow.
2 I was in the emirs place a few years ago. They had a simple system of whom should be feted, in or out. Rub the lamp. Very democratic. Such so, they had one of their kings chopped down the road. The palace lies in ruins, waiting the next of the brethren to take a seat. He was boss, mis clan good. And if you were in, you were welcomed. If you were out, which few were, you were muck. That is non democracy in the fiefdoms. So now, while under this, peoples values were in tune and checked, best Chinese I ever had was in Baghdad, July 1990! We go in, to Libya, Mali to install our system of government. Our system tat five hundred years ago created a bloody civil war, a culling reformation, rotten boroughs and a commonwealth, the chopping of a king, do we expect others to be in such haste to have of bloodied democracy forced upon them. Too much have we wept at the water carrier in the darks of a continent in gob struck awe, not realising that we are fortunate to be able to wash our cars in potable delivered water. Why, because we have a population that is large enough to support the infrastructure and developed enough to work it. Why do the wanting flee to our shores. Since the Romans invaded because we out the price of lead up ( used in water delivery), people have wanted to come here. Now we a trying to install our ways in enforced democracy. It did not work in Greece. It is failing in Egypt. The fallout is now spreading all around.
But in this democracy, of our politico forced leaders harmony that we live in, we should guard against those wo, through a freedom, are gathering the swords and putting on the shirts to thuggerise others into their way.
1 For faith and freedom, the motto of RAF Station Waddington. No one shall weep when we lose our freedom, the sh111t has be brewing for years.0 -
CCP - hope you will be doing this :j soon
Chicken - 그래 내가 4 월 제 생각입니다
Rainy Days - I envy your clean house. since we lost the cleaner last year, mine is never all clean all at the same time.
Kittikins - my kids used to love HH - they came on many a journey with us in CD form as it was something I could stand to listen to too. You can keep the lice and maggots though!
Today
1. Worked at home and actually started the marking:T
2. Went in to town first though and made use of the Holland and Barrett penny sale to stock up, and replenished the shampoo stocks in Poundland. Wally the trolley did a good job of transporting it all.
3. Yummy chicken breast for lunch - reduced in Mr M yesterday
4. Sunshine and a bit of warmth in the air, despite it blowing a hoolie. Felt rather spring like at one point.
5. It's Wednesday, so it must be Cabin Pressure - rather more "aahh" than :rotfl: today, but I do love it. it will be listened to again and again. Getting rather too close to the end of the alphabet for my liking.
Have a lovely evening all - I have to tidy the kitchen.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Should have had a great big pleasure today but it all went a bit wrong  new chest freezer got delivered but has had to go back. We specifically asked if it would work outside in the shed and were assured it would work at low temperatures, opened the instructions and in great big writing it said it needed to be used indoors at 16 degrees, OH rang the company fuming- he has had to take the day off work for delivery as I have a disability which means I can't deal with things like that. They are collecting it on Sunday and we are getting a refund, they did admit it was their error and we were given the wrong advice but I was so looking forward to a weekend of cooking for my new freezer
will have to go searching for another one now!
My five for today;
1. Did angry baking- I don't cope well with unexpected circumstance and so the freezer thing really distressed me, in the past I would have done something unhealthy and possibly dangerous but I kept as calm as a could and did some baking until I was chilled again. The result was a huge pot of soup and some delicious toffee apple oat cookies!
2. Meal planned for the whole of February :j some new and interesting things this month.
3. A nice large glass of red.........grape juice because I can't drink at the moment due to medication.
4. Easy, yummy sweet and sour for tea.
5. Candles burning, house tidy....and breathe
Hope you are all okay, haven't had chance for a read through xComper, Blogger & OS-erCompetition prizes: £6/£20150 -
My pleasures for today (Wednesday).
1) Cold has nearly gone.
2) Sons off to school quite happily.
3) Went to see the physiotherapist and have some exercises to do.
4) Went into town afterwards and took my library books back then picked up some coursework I wrote in 2009 (the college had lost it!) Also transferred money so there is enough in the bank tomorrow to pay for the new window frames.
5) A pleasant lady called round to see me who will be taking over from my psych nurse.
6) My sister came round to help me move the bunk beds.
7) Quite a tasty tea. Cooked some sliced potato and brocolli with a cheese sauce and had salmon fillets with it.
8) Made marble runs with bigger son and smaller son put the bread stuff in the breadmaker for me.
Stupidly excited about new window frames tomorrow!0 -
5 for today:
1. Mum went halves on a toaster with me. I was reluctant to purchase one at £20, even though that was a good price for a 4 slot toaster.
2. Did a bit more crochet at hospital, and a it more chatting. Mum is doing well. She has a break now till monday. Which means i have a break too. Yay!
3. Free cuppa tea and plate of chips in cafe after hospital. Mum treated us.
4. Colliedog has spent most the evening cuddled up with me and making me feel loved.
5. The end of january almost. Glad to be moving nearer to spring, to an improvement in the weather, to the new growing season, to possibilities and promise.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

sparrer, hope the bump's calming down and the PC's retrievable, I think they usually are, tho not by me.
CCP, great that your foot seems like it's on the mend, they can take ages I know. Silver and iodine as someone else said.
5 for today:- meeting turned out not as tricky as expected
- meeting was in a lovely place and got a really nice lunch and lots of yummy snacks including raisins in yoghurt which are pretty healthy really aren't they?!
- DIDNT miss the garage which closed 40 mins earlier than it was meant to and ALMOST meant I had to go home and come back another day (NB garage is 90 mins drive away, car broke down Sat) - just caught the last chap leaving, phew
- eeally lovely taxi driver who spotted said last man leaving and nabbed him for me as I was wondering what was going on!
- Amazingly, gorgeous artisan bread stall at rail station, some of the nicest bread ever. Must start baking again.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. The bump isn't too bad, at least it's covered by my fringe. DS was more worried about the porch, in case it needed structural repairs, I think :rotfl:
katholicos DD cuts up squares, diamonds, whatever shapes take her fancy of different fabrics and colours, sews them together wrong side out so it frays when washed, quilts and lines them. The bags are all different shapes, flat, gusseted, round edged, etc., and she sews rough cut flowers, seed pearls and other decorations on them. Terrible description but they're really very nice. So agree with your #5, we're almost there (there's a song there somewhere but I won't sing, the neighbours will think it's the cats fighting!)
Frith thank you, I asked at a meeting this evening and a mechanic friend is going to have look at it for me, he can get a motor for £25. Not stupid to be excited about the windows at all, you've waited long enough so you're entitled to be
Kittikins thank you, it feels so much better for that. Congrats on the pay rate, don't spend it all at once!
DD thank you, a comp boff friend has told me how to download a programme so he can see my computer from his, and will have a look to see if he can find the problem. Sympathy on the poor result
mhags a cardigan in January? Quelle horreur! Well done your DD1, sensible girl
ampersand my comp problem is to do with conflicting programmes I think. The silversmithing sounds very interesting, we'll come to your first exhibition!
RD it was blowy today wasn't it? Well done on 4 loads of washing, sounds like a real marathon
chicken happy early poet's day
VJsmum 'a hoolie' sums up the day perfectly!
CCP wise move, getting the ginger biscuits. Of course they might cure the effects of anti-b's, let's hope they do
mms so sorry to hear about the trouble with the freezer, let's hope you find the right one very soon
caroline well done that taxi driver, so pleased you got there in time to get your car back
BoP I don't always agree with you - I don't always understand a word you're talking about! - but I have to say I do on the current post.
1. nsd
2.everything on today's housework list completed, I'm getting good at this - of course I only put three or four items on a day
3. as above, two friends have offered to help out with the comp and the car
4. Watching my dog, my girl mog and next door's mog all playing together in the garden. They're all black and white of varying shades and patterns, I swear they think they're related!
5. There was an eight legged thing on the shower curtain and I didn't panic, just got the fishing net and managed to get it out of the window. How brave am I??

Love the idea of repurposing fabrics in such a creative way. Bet your DD could sell them on etsy or somewhere like that, if she doesn't already. Such original and unique pieces would surely garner interest :trescool:Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

1) seminar came with free lunch. Not many people turned up which was a shame cos it was a really interesting talk, but we took all the cakes back to the office :P
2) used my RNLI mugs wot i won for a meeting. They'd been sitting in a box unused till i joined the decluttering thread
3) finished off the HM sweet and sour while watching Call the Midwife. Sooooo sad but the OS bit is the lishness of HM s&s
4) great bible study in the pub. Salvation. Got onto topic of decluttering being a sort of salvation (that was introduced by my mate who's caught my declutterbug)
5) took another 2 books to the school, one theirs, one i'd bought for ds for biology revision. Overheard one of them saying to another 'she's marvellous' glow glow. But on a more serious OS note i'm enjoying releasing things we're not using for others to gain from.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
