1. Planned to spend some time tidying the garden but spent more chatting to DNeighbour. Nice to be able to stand in the sunshine and put the world to rights over the garden fence again
2. Housework after lunch, I seem to be all or nothing with it and just now it's all. Will be different when I can be outside though, then the house always looks like the proverbial tip
3. Had the windows and back door open til it got dark, what a difference this weather makes. And to my mood, I don't have SAD, luckily, but certainly feel much brighter when the sun shines
4. Watched When Love is not Enough with Winona Ryder, very emotional.
5. Made another big pot of broccoli and Stilton soup which will last about a week
Sweet dreams0 -
My 5 for saturday:
1. Snow looks to be thawing. Jolly happy about that and hope it clears completely. Mum's radiotherapy starts on Monday and we can do without nightmare journeys to the hospital.
2. Super duper dog cuddles and kisses.
3. Life has given me lemons and i will be making lemon curd or something with them. Will try the slow cooker lemon curd recipe HERE.. Hope i have enough sugar left to make it.
4. Fresh fruit juice. It's soothing my sore throat a bit.
5. Collie-dog loves the new food we are putting her on. Seems expensive, but actually works out slightly less expensive than what we are currently feeding her.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Oooo I'm watching the tennis final live at the main square in the city centre .... With thousands of other people! We've got our flags out!
Been a pleasant day, woke up early , had a bath, had a bit more sleep, baked, made soup, pulled sofas out and hoovered, changed rugs and cushions round , moved dining room around, did a bit in the garden, started a book then got the train into the city with DS and DD 1.
OH remains poorly so DD2 is staying at home with him to cheer on Andy!0 -
Happy post katholicos
good for you making the most of what you can. I love lemon curd but never have it in the house as it wouldn't last five mins!
mhags watching it on my television this morning, what a strange feeling to know we're so far away yet can see the same thing. Aint technology wunnerful! Wishing your OH better now
The snow has all gone, the sun is shining and I'm going to meet some of my favourite people for lunch. Life is good
Missing some posters, come back all is forgiven! Have a happy day, hope the sun is shining where you are0 -
Ah well....always next year Andy !0

Good afternoon all !
Sparrer- belated thanks for the link - loved the bagel holder CD casealso the link to the people who are not physically related but are "doppelgangers" . Those photos are freaky
VJsmum - yep totally agree - I would rather deal with moulton lava (sp) than snow. Well done to your DS- it shows that he clearly "likes" what he likes iyswim?
Mhagster - ((hugs)) to your DH
Skintos- my reflexes are "brisk" too- ye olde spinal cord CNS damage .
some over the last 2 days
1. Cleared out my walk in wardrobe which nobody has been able to "walk in" to for years . Took all day shredding papers have 3 bin bags full, and about 6 carrier bags full! All neat and tidy is the pleasure here. Not a pleasure is claustrophobia - grab one bag of papers out of wardrobe- have to calm down for 5 minutes then run back in and repeat....:rotfl:
2.Back sore after the above - OH bought me an extension lead to plug my heated cushion into . Bliss.
3. Three lots of washing dried on the line. I have a wardrobe to hang them in now !
4. Nice email from my friend .
5. Slept well.
5 for today
1. Reverbed 1p- made OH pick it up though as in a puddle.
2. Used Xmas B**ts voucher for expensive face cream I like
3. Dipped hair - they have changed the packaging and gloves - still decanted half for next time.
4. Bought some really funky jumpers from Primarni - a bit hippy dippy which I like. Very arcylic though and one reminds me of my Nan's cheap orangle nylon carpet in the 70's!
5. Roast for tea - Mum and OH are having lamb (YUK!) I shall have an rtc M&S beef (not horse) pie instead.
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Such a shame about Murray, booo!
1. Lovely sunny morning, I had the French doors open for a while. It feels like Spring should be here soon, even though it was snowing the other day!:D
2. I fancy some yummy roasties for dinner.
3. Watching back to back Friends episodes!
4. Washed my bed covers so will be lovely and comfortable tonight.

Phew! Busy, busy weekend. Started clearing out the shed Saturday morning in preparation for my new chest freezer :jand we've only just finished! it was a nightmare, so much stuff had just been thrown inside and had been left to go mouldy, the place hadn't been touched in years  but now it's sparkling and all ready to get lots of use out of.
My five for the weekend;
1. Sparkly clean shed. The kind of cleaning I most enjoy is the kind where it's filthy and you can see where you've wiped.A great sense of satisfaction.
2. My new appliances especially the freezer, lots of space for whoopsies and bulk buy offers :j
3. Discovered an old memory card amidst the rubbish in the shed. It had lots of photos and videos of Ian as a tiny baby puppy :heart2:
4. Hot roast pork sandwiches for lunch. The first time i've roasted pork in the slow cooker and it was beautiful. Looking forward to doing more joints in the sc.
5. Really excited about getting a shower, pjs on and great big cuppa- been non stop all weekend- I need a rest!Comper, Blogger & OS-erCompetition prizes: £6/£20150 -
Good afternoon/evening everyone
I hope that you've all had a good weekend. It seems to have passed by far too quickly, but such is life.
My 5 pleasures for the weekend:
1) Yet more books cleared off my shelves (they're still full though) and some returned to my friend who lends me some every now and again.
2) Not mine, but my mum went to an auction yesterday as she was selling some items which had belonged to her late parents. I think that she felt as though she was an expert on Flog It! when some items sold. She's pleased that they've gone to homes which will need to dust them so she doesn't have to see them any more!
3) Yesterday was a NSD and NPD :j
4) clean sheets on the bed. :j :j
5) Think I've found the recipe I'm going to bake for my first meeting of the Clandestine Cake Club.
Have a good evening everyone.

Evening all.
Sorry about the lack of post yesterday - these antibiotics may or may not help my foot, but they're making the rest of me feel pretty lousy.
1) Nice long lie-in this morning after sleeping badly last night - I was too hot, then too cold, then too hot again...
2) LO takeaway pizza for brunch. Actually far too much pizza for brunch - I'll only be needing a light dinner after scarfing that lot.
3) Finally heard back from my elusive OU tutor and she's granted my request for an extension to the deadline for this essay, and given me an extra week on top of what I asked for to make sure I'm under no pressure. :A I'm even more grateful after hearing from my DM that my sister's tutor turned down her request for an extension as she "couldn't be that ill" even though her GP has signed her off work for at least two weeks. I'd be furious if that happened to me - how come he knows so much better than a qualified doctor?
4) NSD - I ran out of coffee  but found some 'proper' coffee (rather than instant) which I bought on SO some months ago and had forgotten about, and very nice it was too. :coffee:
5) Watching football on TV this afternoon. The FA Cup is my favourite competition as it always throws up some surprises - go Oldham! :T
6) Day off tomorrow - I had planned to spend it working on my essay but now I don't need to so it can just be a day off.
Have a nice evening, all.Back after a very long break!0
