    Yesterday's goodies;

CCP, sending love and prayers that your foot will clear up, it sounds really nasty :( Do you have a dressing on it? I can highly recommend ones with silver in them, after my dodgy c-section and 3 different types of anti-b's, once the nurse put silver dressings on it cleared up nicely in no time.

    1. No petrol day, haven't had one of those for a while!

    2. Spendy day - bought cakes for various children and me and a chum had hot choc and cake in a cafe, slurp!

    3. Children went to the park to throw snowballs and go sledging, whilst we sat in the cafe:)

    4. Lots of texts with OH who is currently laid up with a very bad back - he even had the doctor out! Luckily he has his sense of humour despite or maybe because of being drugged up to the eyeballs!!

    5. We've been invited over to a friend's for lunch after church tomorrow.

Oh my, just read you croissant recipe DD, I have to try that. Bang goes my Weight Loss OS Way weigh-in next week!
BoP get out there and sort out that poor snowman with spare part surgery immediately!
Skint/BoP/Broomstick I'm beginning to agree. I've always listened to one news a day but it's getting so silly I'm tired of it. It's all the same as it was 20 years ago, only the names/places have changed. If that makes me a cynic so be it. Going to try ignoring it and read what I want to on line for today, anyway :o
katholicos I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same year, I remember a lot of faceless voices during that time!

    Chicken???

Was going to go to my Sunday lunchtime meeting with friends but my square is solid ice and has been snowing on top of that for the last 4/5 hours. Not been out or seen anyone since Wednesday and no knowing when I will be able to. I know what it feels like to be housebound, I'm fortunate I have family and neighbours at the end of the phone but there are so many older people who have nobody. Please just check they're okay :)

    Stay safe and warm S

Talking of neighbours - yesterday my 70odd year old neighbour popped over to see if I wanted any shopping as he was going out, and then told me he'd cleared the snow off my car!

And I was going to knock on their door to see if he and his wife needed anything when I popped up to the village....

Snowing heavily here for hours now. DD and I are going to walk to our friends house for lunch but I want to make sure I'm back before its dark, don't like snow and ice much at the best of times!

Ah bless him Kittikins, aren't people kind? The children in our square always knock and ask if they can clear our cars - then build a huge snowman in the middle which everyone has to drive round, and have snowball fights. Nice to see them out there instead of stuck to electronic 'toys' :D

I agree with both of you.

    1. I'm also avoiding the news and I'm listening to Kim Wilde Secret Songs on Magic at the moment.:)

    2. Homemade veg soup with a toastie to dip in for lunch.

    3. It's properly snowing here now. I'm looking out of my snowflake stickered window at real snowflakes falling.:T I wish it could have been like this Christmas day. I'm not sure I remember a white Christmas ever.

    4. I'm making a curry for dinner later.

    5. I might make a hot toddy as I have the ingredients in the kitchen.
