    Evening

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Packed lunches and breakfasts for everyone again, being very good at this so far this year. Hope can keep it up
    2. Wrote most of the meal plan and shopping list ready for the weekend, trying to be organised.
    3. Ordered a few things online today that we needed / wanted all in the Sales using Christmas money.
    4. DD helped prepare dinner and has done her packed lunch for tomorrow. She knew I had to be back out of the door tonight so very helpful.
    5. Good Friends of Guiding meeting tonight. A few events planned where help will be needed just hoping we can recruit a few more parents at the next AGM.

Hugs to all who need them

Frith, the palaver you have to go through to get your boys to school is humungous (sp?!)

I love this thread, it helps me remember there are more upsides than downsides. 5 things:

    1. lovely day with friend who lives a long way away and who I rarely see
    2. sunshine!
    3. despite (1) above, managed not to buy anything except food and coffee!
    4. My helpful boys sorting IT challenges
    5. DS2 getting happier with new school
    Goodnight all :D

    My 5 for today...

    1. Meals made, some in freezer.
    2. Lovely hot cups of tea.
    3. Bad acting that makes me laugh.
    4. No snow, and diminishing ice. Yay!
    5. A no spend day. I had claimed yesterday as one but there were some last minute unexpected spends last night. Anyway, i am still on 11 nsd's and that is okay by me :)

    Hello :)

    1. My local library. I get to read so many books for free.
    2. Eating a healthy chilli this evening.
    3. Using up my stash of toiletries. I'm beginning to buy what I need/when I need it at the best MSE price or offer. Get me, growing up!
    4. Cat cuddles
    5. Seeing the efforts of decluttering.

    :A

busy busy yesterday and didn't get a chance to post. work computer drive login on blink and technician at lunch so taking opportunity to update now :D
    1) lunch out with OH. sadly not as cheap as vjsmum nor by the beach ah so not mse old style at all, but nice :P
    2) interesting papers posted by one of my students on learning styles
    3) scrummy lamb curry for tea - padded out with lentils so mse and there's tons left
    4) band practice went very well. We have 3 ceilidhs coming up. colleague wants to learn accordion but doesn't have one so I asked band member I lent an accordion to if she'd finished with it. She teaches in a special needs school and is happy to bring it back. I asked if she was interested in a xylophone and set of chime bars. She is so will be decluttering some of my 'interesting' instruments from back when I used to run music for pre-schoolers groups. That was 14 years ago so nice the instruments can go to a good home.
    5) also decluttered 8 recipe books to vicar who is collecting for a book sale early March.
Oh good, H drive back. Will use 'updating on mse' as activity to get it back up next time :D

  • 1. Nice walk in the park with my dog even though it is flipping freezing! She was wearing her new blue hoodie and she looked adorable.

    2. Reorganised the stuff on the kitchen shelves and got rid of some out of date stuff and some clutter, I have had two carrier bags of recycling to take out to the bin today. I don't know where it all comes from?!

    3. I washed the dog's coats and leads so they are all fresh ready for them to get dirty again.:p

    4. I went round the house to collect all the hot water bottles in preparation for tonight. I have about 6 of them.:rotfl:

    5. I'm about to have a chip buttie with tomato ketchup.
  • Skint Yet Again I am glad you enjoy hearing about the adventures of Ian, I feel there will be many more anecdotes to come! He is a laugh a minute and without a doubt the best purchase I ever made :money: it is a long running joke in our house that I love the dog more than OH- cant think how anyone would come to that conclusion :p

    A freezing cold five from me today;
    1. Great medication review at the doctors. He's a relatively new doctor and I've only seen him a few times but he has been fantastic every time.

    2. Chicken and white bean stew in the slow cooker. Nothing nicer than coming out from the cold into a house what smells like home cooked food, a true comfort on a day like today.

    3. Been to-ing and fro-ing all day and thankfully have remained upright and on two feet the whole time despite the weathers best attempts to up end me!

    4. Finally having a sit down, a cup of tea and a chocolate....or three :o

    5. Blew the weekly spend challenge budget right out the water, overspent by a least double so far this week  but I have made a VERY large dent in all of this years gifts and all at fab prices so I don't feel too bad and I had the money put aside just didn't anticipate spending it all at once. The positive is now I get to make a list of gifts, recipients, occasion and price paid. Might even treat myself and do a spreadsheet :rotfl:

Stay warm and safe wherever you are.
