Hello from a pleasantly cooler Melbourne.
Vjsmum ooooh! Are you going somewhere soon? Enjoy!
Frith hope you get young master Frith's school sorted out soon.
Woke up at 4 am BING! wide awake, so did an ironing and watched an episode of Midwife DVD
Missed a call from work , had no credit to call back so thought I'd just pop in....give car a run and say hello.....managed to escape an hour later, it was crazy! However the problems were solved quickly ( I had said I was available if any problems) and I got to say hello to my ducks, moorhens, pigeons , cockatoos and lorikeets! Everything's so dry,the river was the lowest I have ever seen it.
Went in to next town with girls but we just had a mooch.....bought enough in UK so we all felt a bit shopped out! Bought some fruit and flower in Ald:s and phone top ups and that was all.
Came home and snooooozed! Remember DD1 saying I'm away to work and then OH and DS came in from work....damn you jetlag!
Made meatballs with a Swedish sauce and jelly that my colleague who returned to Sweden before Christmas had given us....a Swedish meal in a bag, complete with recipe . Was rather yummy. Pear Sponge for pudding.
So not done as much today....full of good intentions but sleep deprivation took over!
Have a lovely day x0 -

My OS pleasures today are;
Following some tips given on here and being able to get the shower door and grouting in my bathroom beautifully clean again. The results are brilliant and with minimum effort I have managed to achieve it by using store cupboard essentials so barely any cost too :jThe best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -
1. NSD
2. At DD's request, I have just rustled up what will hopefully be a very scrumptious lasagne for dinner, gawd bless my full stock cupboard!
3. We managed to get up reasonably well this morning, actually that's a lie, we were great - both ready to go a full 10 minutes before we had to leave, it just felt hard to pull our heads off our pillows.......
4. Last night there were more pleasures - a friend turned up with her children and my freezer surprise dinner magically fed the 5,000, ok 5 of us!
5. They also brought us some more store cupboard goodies
6. AND Christmas presents!! How lucky are we!0 -
Evening all. I sees vjsmam is off to Sri Lanka. Minds me of tea boy we had in the Middle East. Ran tee shirt factory back home. It got bombed twice, but he carried on. Best [STRIKE]crocodile emblazoned[/STRIKE] ones I ever had. One lass at a previous place of work asked why I turned up in them to do mucky work,as they are expensive. I had to larf.
SPARRA. Is yous need a push in the bath chair round the Park and Slide, every other week, I can gather up a pace.
5 Ouch. Miss mes Lady Black, but does not tell her as it is our little secret. No BoP is not going soppy, but I need mes back scrubbing. Tenderly.
4 Wents for walk yestdi. Not toooo far, but 8wflowers cafe was closed. But got some Roadkill. Scotch egg, sour grapes and apples. Cherpy cheapo.
3 Thanks goodness one remembered me cord for my mans thingy. The shave is recharging so I can bristle up later, and get th muff rug redy for Lady Black.
2 Looks likea hen party is on the pub opposite.

Good evening all !
Skintos - yep- going back to work after the Xmas break sucks ! Although Xmas seems ages ago now .
Caterina - Ditto The QuartetDM has not quite got over Dame Maggie saying F Off though ! :rotfl:
mhagster - I see those terrible fires and think of you , hoping you are ok . I expect you are nowhere near them , but my heart goes out to all those poor folks and critters out there.
5 for today
1. Work ok - one of the most time consuming companies I work with received some really nice feedback today .I must relay this to the manager tomorrow, he deserves it.
2. OH has had trials and tribulations at the dentist all day. Not a pleasure for him. But he seems ok now...and is cooking my tea
3.Internet security re issued for free with OH's bank .
4. DM made some bread rolls - although white rolls are the food of the devil in my opinion ... hot, buttered rolls .....cor food !!!!!! . So had two.
5. Toying with doing a Masters in SW (just for you BoP of course:D) . Who knows ...I go through these phases of "thinking" about it and not actually "doing" anything about it
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
