    1) Put all the decorations away without breaking any (something that is far from assured for someone as clumsy as I am :o) but left up my snowflake window stickers and star lights as they're wintery rather than Christmassy and make the removal of decorations a little less bleak.

I still have my snowflake window stickers up too.:)

    1. I was supposed to have a roast dinner yesterday but we are having it today instead.

    2. I put in another £10 into my X-mas fund. I thought that I might get the stairs re-carpeted with that money too and I've been impressed how I have been able to save £32 without much effort just by putting any spare change into the money box. It makes me realise how much money just got frittered away before. The local shop must be missing my custom already.;)

    3. Batch cooking some pasta for the freezer for quick lunches through the week.

    4. Bit of a dull day outside but at least it's not rainy.

    5. I downloaded that SJ Bolton book so I might read that tonight as my husband starts night shift this week. Actually I might not read it if it seems too scary as I get a bit jumpy when he's not here.:o

RV - Reading SJ Bolton on a night when you are feeling jumpy probably not a good idea if this book is anything like the others :-)

Ive had a really lazy day im afraid, walked dd to school with dog (and cuppa tea in those travel mugs as made it before looking at time)

had meeting up in work but bought cherished teddy for 25p so fab!

put 2 loads of washing on, and popped grans old blanket that i saw on kirsties vintage home for £60 so thats washed and on the banister drying and its going over sofa in toyroom as aim to have it as craft room as they never ever go in there, so sorted 3 big plastic boxes of thier old toys each ( had to be sealed as mickey still lurking somewhere, even though hes eaten a packet of poison and avoided the humane trap and the pepper corns i threw around and gone up loft and left the games etc there hoping it will revive down there and ill use for my use too now!!! ( we bought the house as it has cellar type room and i loved it but kids dislike it so its mine)
we tonge and grooved over the naff tiles last year and had ikea trip and still they dont use it so joy of jpys this week i aim to vintage and shabby chic it)

brownies back today so we are having low key games night and catch up night with them (im one of leaders lol not a brownie)

and made lamb curry put of leftover lamb and veg last night so just some rice to make and saw jamie oliver make popadums in micro earlier so ill try that.

so heres hoping i have more va va voom tom!!!

Pleasures for today (Monday) so far.

    1) Bigger son back to school happily.

    2) Not a bad sleep! Trying to shake off this achiness and sore throat.

    3) Couple of games of cards with smaller son.

    4) Did lots of jobs - paid garage for car repairs last month, Sainsburys, tidied etc.

    5) Spoke to man doing work on next door's house and he is coming to replace my guttering so no more puddles to wade through in the alleyway between the houses!

    6) Letter from car parking penalty company and they are "thinking about my letter" (to let me off due to my car breaking down!) and will get back to me.

    7) New camera downlead cable has arrived so I have uploaded all the Christmas photos and will be able to print out the boys' thank you cards AND put stuff on Ebay.

    8) About to have left over toad in the hole and roast veg left from last night.

    9) Phoned another school about having a look round before chosing one for smaller son so slowly getting more organised.

and 10) I left the ex husband 8 years ago today! Hoorah!

Mhagster - glad to hear that you eventually got back home !

VJsmum - I think you need to give yourself a big fat pay rise tbh.;)

Dundee - hope your first day back was ok??

    5 for today

    1. Work ok

    2. Got a form signed by a colleague who is a Nurse as this form could not be signed by a family member, or those related to me by marriage. But it needed to be signed by a responsible person - its a bummer when your entire family consists of Nurses, Police, rison Officers ,Pharmacists ,Dr.'s , SW's , Plumbers ,Electricians and OH is a Lawyer. Sparrer - I know that you had to get your form verified recently.

3.Cauliflower cheese and fish fingers for tea :D Made by OH.

    4. OH has hoovered .

    5. Fancy an early night tonight due to back pain from cinema seat last night !

Have a good evening all !

eta Frith- hope you feel better soon!
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

Get well soon Missmoneysave and Frith x

Glad you got back home (eventually) in style mhagster x

    1. First day of new job was fab :) Actually it was an inset day so I was only in for a few hours doing a course and then enjoyed a very yummy lunch - so there IS such a thing as a free lunch!

    2. NSD :)

    3. DD told me this morning she was very proud of me for getting a new job xx

    4. Had coffee with exOH and we are friends.

    5. Got my curtains back from his mum and will clamber onto a chair tomorrow afternoon to put them back up (I do have curtains in my boudoir just a spare set that are too long and don't go with the half removed wallpaper, lol)
  • Groan day, suitcase, sprawled everywhere. No trousers. Oh no, guess it is shirt and jeans. Never a tie. Four notes without cat and Lady Black.

On the subject of &. Dundee and SPARRA. I love her posterisations, but please do not encourage her. I has buck to read this week, so canna take part.

5 Poor Lady Black canna get a grip of KFS. Pleasure coming up of SSS. First place on list is going well.

4 IPayer ready to go with shows later on. Had freebie in Flowers and W8. As well as 75p road kill bun. Shall puts feet up after a snozzuke on barmaids apron. Shhhh, no telling the Lady Black.

3 Programme on Westminster abbey to watch later, iPlayer, so no tv tax.

2 First fill week after Xmas. Has you noticed how many cars fly round early Monday, with four shirts on pegs, case on back seat. This lot in charge has to sort out the two hundred mile away job. Does no good to the family, the children and relationships. Agony uncle time.

    1 Tiger awaits.

Kip slight all and hugs. Now part two.

    Xxxx
