Morning all - bit of a home day yesterday

Sparra - hope you are bearing up
Hello Chinagirl and welcome back Caterina if I didn't say before.
BoP - don't blame you re TV. Watched Mr Selfridge last night but can't say i'm bothered about watching any more of it.

    So Yesterdays pleasures

    1. Bit of a lie in
    2. House now clean and tidy. Just the hard floors to mop then it's all done. I pay myself to do the cleaning in lieu of the cleaner I had until about 8 months ago. I don't get paid nearly enough :p but it's a bit more in the "big holiday" fund.
    3. Watched some TV with DD and did more of my knitting. Nearly finished chunky sleeveless cardi.
    4. DD cooked the dinner :T
    5. DS footie team won again and they were playing the second in the league.

Day off today - lunch with friend to look forward to, tho DD has decided to crash it as she is still off today.

Chinagirl, my OH is towards OCD too, it's quite handy in a way isn't it?!

5 from yesterday (getting my days muddled up!)
    1. Putting about 15 CDs on Amaz0n
    2. Getting a dreaded work job done, helped muchly by super tidy desk
    3. Finding the school shoes DS wants (there actually is such a thing!) at a fairly local shop, OH taking him to see if they fit (please let them, they're in the sale!)
    4. Loving 'A streetcat named Bob', a Christmas present. I like cheerful books where everybody's still alive at the end (I hope they are, the cover suggests so, please don't tell me if not!)
    5. Ordered some seeds online (early toms and peppers so they might even ripen this summer, not in Nov like last year), looking forward to sowing them soon.
    Right, up and at em!

some other ideas which have worked for me -
    1. when posting in 'advanced' mode, after each couple of lines click 'preview post' which saves what you've typed so far.
    2. probably the safest way is to type in Word, save as, then c/p, then you can't lose it.

    hth :)

Every mother should be issued with one at the birth of each child! :D
  • Having a rotter of a day :( medication effects have gone from feeling drunk to feeling down and anxious so today will be spent looking after myself. My five for yesterday and today so far;

    1. Currently snuggled in bed...with Ian the dog. OH would go mad if he knew. Hates the dog being in bed but needs must, it's cheering me up so sod it!

    2. Mum is on her way down to my house. So glad that I have her to come look after me, I don't know what I would do without her.

    3. NSD yesterday.

    4. Eating healthily yesterday instead of giving in and getting take away.

    5. My lovely OH being nice to me even though I've probably been a bit horrible to him.

Yoohoo......I'm home in hotland, land of the heat and spiders and possum poo all over my car but it is so nice to be home.....and to know I am lucky to have 2 homes!

So after a monster journey ....flight from Glasgow delayed and so subsequent connection missed, a day in a hotel in Dubai ...meals and hotel transfers provided, then a flight to Kuala Lumpur ( we should have been on a direct flight to Melbourne) . For the third time on trip we were told there was a problem with boarding passes issued in Glasgow ( we even had a problem getting them) by this time I was tired, rather crabbit , splitting headache and wearing the same clothes I had left in.....not a happy bunny, when they took us to side and said we need to change your seats.......for better ones! Oh how the bad mood lifted........5 deliriously happy passengers!
OH was used to traveling business class when we were back home and doesn't like economy.....who does? Kids and I had flown business class once before using air miles but slept for most of the journey. This time I was determined to enjoy 10 hours of wonderful service and the food and the chair which goes down to a bed and doesn't disturb the person behind you! It was just fabulous and made up for the awfulness that the trip had been. It puts you off traveling! The journey there and back had been very draining physically and probably mentally for OH who has been unwell for past 8 days. So it was just what he needed.....and me...I worry at every twinge of pain he has.

I have unpacked and washed and ironed...the joy of 32o heat!

I have shopped and the kids put away shopping.

Made nachos with cheese, bacon, red onion and mushrooms and salad for tea....too easy as they say here.

Watched DVD of Call the Midwife my mum gave me for Christmas whilst I ironed.

Had a bit of a sleep but we now have reverse jetlag!

I've had such an amazing time catching up with friends and family , feel topped up with their love again.meeting my great niece was just fabulous, she's a lovely wee girl. Saw quite a lot of her. My dog was so happy to see us then we had to leave her again :( , nice chats with my sister , we didn't get to catch up but knew we wouldn't.

I have eaten so much (too much) and my shorts hardly fastened today! Hats and scarves washed and put away! Jumpers back in the wardrobe! Vest tops bought in Primarche will be just the thing for the next couple of months:).... Or maybe :( will see how I go with the heat. It has been very hot the past 2 weeks in the 40's. The grass has not grown and is very dry.
Veggies are a state, don't know if they will be salvageable .

So that's me....I still have this week off work though will need to pop in on Friday. I am determined to relax and enjoy the next few days.

Hugs ( very hot ones) to all that need one. Just keep telling yourselves That spring is just round the corner....a matter of weeks now!

    Night night from me!
