Oops. Seems I as cursed a stur!! And I am still having mushy peas chrimbo lunch. Coming from Grimsby, we were not bottle fed and went from mums milk straight to the mushy peas. Cod and chips were routine by six weeks.
Hope & SPARRA realise, that I am against toy guns and their consequences, sorry bout the Educationalists, Social Workers and Teachers. Had a foster kd once, who would not eat. Told him that if he did not put on weight, he could not go to his new home, adoption. Ate mes out of house and home. Moved to new home, same thing, would not eat. Sensible SW gets message and weighed him. He is now, well a few years back now. Afterwards, rap on knuckles from Rose Tinted boss for the ... I could had cursed. I could go on and on and on and on and on and on.
Suffice to say we has eaten all the FRUMPS.
Pleasure for day, mes and Lady Black, we had young lass at door, with dad selling mistletoe. Bought big bunch and we has kiss gate. Great fun. Lady Black also ad a go!0 -

Wow I reckon it’s approaching holidays time, we set of at silly o clock tomorrow to hopefully get there in daylight.
1. We are all packed and ready.
2. Remembered to make some sandwiches as we are up I suspect before it even thinks about getting light.
3. Downloaded a couple of pay for kindle books.
4. House has been tidied and cleaned top to bottom, and fresh bedding for that
5. Nice hot soak later.
It’s somewhat remote there so if I can’t get on, I hope everyone has a fantastic festive time.0 -
Evening all.
I'm in the pro-mushy pea camp - lovely stuff!
1) Got my essay back, marked, already, and my tutor clearly didn't think it was as clunky as I did, as she gave it 90%!
2) Our work Christmas lunch today came close to disaster when the restaurant cancelled our booking at the last minute as an electrical fault meant they couldn't serve any food. Luckily one of my colleagues knows the manager of another restaurant so we got a table there instead.
3) I - very reluctantly - had to send my meal back as it was swimming in so much oil I couldn't eat it: they replaced the meal for free and gave me a free glass of wine as well, which I was very impressed with. :T
4) The buses were playing silly wotsits on the way home - I waited 45 minutes for one, then 25 minutes for the next - so I was cold, wet and fed up by the time I got home. Changing out of my wet clothes into warm, dry ones definitely counted as a pleasure after that!
5) Trying to decide whether to spend the rest of the evening reading, watching a film or playing silly computer games - it's lovely to be able to choose between these rather than having to study.
PK - have a fantastic time.
ampersand - best of luck tomorrow - hope you don't get too wet.
VJsmum - mincemeat muffins sound
Have a nice evening, everyone!Back after a very long break!0 -
Ooh a mushy pea debate. I am for - but only with chish and fips, nothing else.
Been out at a work's do - but i'm not so thunk as some drinkle seem to peep I am!! Actually, colleagues think I am a little boring as I stopped drinking at 4 after 3 white wine spritzers. After that I was on lemonade or tap water, and they were on sambucca shots and cocktails  I need to function tomorrow - clearly they don't!
So for today
1. Did a bit of shopping before the meal and got DS's expensive gadget and some stocking fillers for DD
2. Managed to get in a bit of marking before i left home
3. nice meal out and a catch up with colleagues - present and one former
4. Not drunk!
5. Nice things said to me by my boss - though he WAS drunk. But the upshot is that I may be going to Sri Lanka in January to help set up some courses out there :T I think the emphasis is on MAY!
6. Contact with an old friend through Facebook. Love her to bits and it will be nice to have more regular contact.
Have a good night all.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

What a day!
Here are my 5 or so:
1) A lie in! Smaller son's school went on a school trip. It was probably nearly 50 miles from the school to Ironbridge. We are so near Ironbridge (at least compared with school) that they picked him up on their way at 9.45!
2) Got many Christmas presents including a microwave for brother. (I am paying for half).
3) Smaller son loved the trip; we have been many times before so he showed them his favourite bits (the horses, the forge and the candle making). I didn't know what they were doing for lunch so made him a lunch box. The school took bags of sandwiches with them and fruit so he was chuffed to have 2 lunches. Then they had a massive pile of chips from the Victorian fish and chip shop!
4) Phoned the statementing people and said there is no way I can look round all the schools before the end of term and within my 15 day time limit. She said, with smaller son's rather obscure needs as well, I can have an open ended time limit! She did suggest I aimed for mid January, though!
5) Bigger son's girlfriend liked her presents :-)
6) We were picked up by my brother at 4pm and went to the Christmas market in Birmingham. Brother drove us to the station. We had the usual hot dogs and Berliners and smaller son bought a little bongo (oh dear) and bigger son had a wooden frog.
One thing has been REALLY annoying today. When I went to drop smaller son off at the bus this morning, then went into Sainsburys, it started raining. My car has no windscreen wipers at the moment (the new mechanism in in the passenger footwell......) So I left Sainsburys, realised I couldn't actually see anything and swerved the car into Staples carpark where it had to remain for the rest of the day.
Mum picked me up at 1 and smaller son as well when he came back from his trip. We went home, car remained in town....Obviously it rained ALL day and is still raining now, 12 hours later.
Brother took us to station in the same town (still raining).
Went to Brum and back (still raining).
Looked at car and it has a parking ticket! Gah. So I managed to limp it across town and leave it in a side road. That was fairly terrifying, driving just for 5 minutes, almost unable to see anything through the rain. I hope no one steals it, particularly as the Christmas shopping is still in the boot. :-(
So tomorrow will be interesting as I will have to pick the car up (how?) and can only drive it if it stops raining. The car is supposed to be in the garage 2 miles from here at 8.30am. It is 10 miles away in the wrong direction. I am supposed to be looking round a school at 11am but I think we can safely say that will be postponed!0 -
Evening
Another Northern Lass here so pro mushy peas.
Pleasures for today,
1. More cake at work today as another birthday.
2. Pulled up a senior member of staff for not declaring gifts over £10 and reminded him that we would be doing a charity raffle for such things. Don't think he was impressed but these are the rules and it's not one rule for one. My friend was crying with laughter behind her computer.
3. Don't know what I did with the soup I made yesterday but it was awful. Positive is that friend bought me lunch.
4. NSD
5. Think I got the last of the presents wrapped today :j
6. Last stage of my project starts tonight so should all be closed off by Friday :j:j:j
Hugs to all who need them0
