Thanks all. I am not thrilled at being another year older, but at least I am another year older!
It's a big one next year
I am off for a bath with my new bath stuff, lighting my new candle, spraying on my new perfume (expensive  but it was my mum's perfume and reminds me of her and suits me!) and listening to my new CD in the car.
I hope everyone has a lovely dayI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Thanks Skint / Chicken you have inspired me to appeal the tax thing today.
It's not even 9 and I've ploughed through washing loads, started tidying, put 2 casseroles on that will have all day to cook through.
Just stopped for a bacon sarnie / tinternet check then back to more tidying.0 -

Again I am trying[in many ways]
-and even that has disappeared for me twice this week.
I've just done major catch-up read, but can't seem to thank anyone. Please consider it done, everyone!
BONNE ANNIVERSAIRE, vjm -
[well, can't seem to post usual graphics/greetings either-apologies,so hope this works]

Many and various little moments of tiny pleasures, or a sudden sense of content, [which this Thread is]have occurred, but disappeared posts are not one of them.
It is not Little Ms Stampy-Footy who then goes off in Huff; it is simply that I don't have the time to then re-write everything. Various peeps needing bits of advice and help have arisen suddenly and tend to require Drop Everything immediacy.
Let me quickly pluck 5[...]-
1. Hitting Trumpington carboot[seeing lovely N again & after 3 wks, finally buying his 2 Lionel Ellis erotic woodcuts, much reduced]then Waitrosing for free coffee with My Waitrose card is becoming a pleasure Regular of a Sunday a.m. V. early this week, several finds, but decent recent may be ex John Lewis! Bought a fleet of taxis i.e. remaining BNIB 6 Hornby Olympics London cabs, reduced from £15 to £1.50. On verra chez Spits on Thursday. Will otherwise lay down to mature nicely for 2016.
2. Sudden fit of cake-making since w/e, Sat/Sun/y'day, now done. One vast, for Spits 'pals'/customers maybe and 2 normal size- giftie bits, though I am these days unCrimbo.
3. Cuisine theme continues - 7 jars of lime marmalade hier[they were reduced to 9p per net]and pepper[Mr T's Finest down to 15p] relish underway. Will do raspberry jam with h/g fruit and that will do. No more after today.
4. 10p, 1p, 1p, 5p - all Sunday reverbe's and always SO welcome.
5. Dear friends - saying I am unCrimbo these days has, maybe for 1st time, been Hideously[but Excitingly]Untrue in respect of self this week. Spitalfields is making difference to my confidence, even when - as last week, by 1300h I had made a single sale @£18[those who know the Great Game will at once have spotted a TD applied there] But it picked up and best of all, a ptg I'd been annoyed with self about paying over the odds for several years ago, went to a Chinese family[who were laden with bags of STUFF] - yes, WENT...v. late in day and I held my price, despite every effort on their part. Told them it was end-of-day final figure - and it was. We both enjoyed it and father bowed his respect to me as we closed deal, with widest beaming smiles. Long time packing up last Thursday. Wasn't away until 21.40h, but felt less weary than usual. dkw.
5a. Losing 1st intention of previous post means I'll now[with some shame, but not much - I'm trying to unlearn it as I near 64 - and that will be at Spitalfields!] LIST forthcoming pleasures to self, for which I try to tell myself I have worked. Goodness! 8 weeks already/so far:
Pukeko Gummies[ yes - at last!] and found much cheaper here-
http://store.clevedonwoolshed.co.nz/gumboots-gummies/
http://www.classicsheepskins.co.nz/sheepskin-high-boot-flame/
Edmund de Waal's 'The Pot Book'[having been subject to Library chuck-out closing time twice in last week, lost in this book, poring over it.]
Brian Sewell dvd 'The Grand Tour'.
[must catch up with his latest fêted book at Library]
Was to be no. 4. ...speaking of which, my turn for JK Rowling's 'The Casual Vacancy' has finally arrived. I haven't started it yet.
5-ish[numbering's gone cake o'clock now]. Wood/timber/shed/pergola/shelter - all sorts of things happening, or about to and again, all possible via Spitalfields' work. It may not always be so, but I'll keep trying and stay prepared for what may be a Nul £points day. Some while ago, helped neighbour with DIY bits for his bits of Good Life building. Thus did I meet AS with his lovely reclaimed timber. Much enjoyable chat[I've currently left him my 1732 copy of this to look through. He loves history and Olde England, marvelling at its survival- as do I]and he has at his place ideas to adapt chez moi[I have confessed to these and they take it as compliment] - instant rapport and they are a terrific family.

Wanted L's son to meet him, too - he's doing my work here. They got on well and I also fell in love with a whopping great old 15' beam from a Norfolk barn with a lump of forged metal stuck in it and another lump of oak from an old butcher's cool room - £10 and £5, so not excessive. 2 more bits of unCrimbo Defiant. Next thing...get them here...hmm.
6'y sort of 5 pour terminer, as usual.
Did not want to miss final w/e of East Anglian Potter's Exhibition in All Saints Church in its loveliness & William Morris beauties:

http://www.visitchurches.org.uk/Ourchurches/Completelistofchurches/all-saints-church-cambridge-cambridgeshire
Please forgive all the ref.s but its glory is all the more pronounced in the closing light and dimness of winter's shrunken day. I was completely taken by work of Corinne Gula and bought it for self, but will have to try it @Spitalfields, along with another couple of bits. On h/b book-sized slices of slate, lie high-fired, quasi-raku glazed semi-abstract torsos, individual strikings of male and female forms. They are stunning. The hope is always that things sold will fund love objects bought for others or self. Friend in next village has had some startling med. news and will be in hospital rather soon. Found a lovely tile for her and a little thrush fledgling, beautifully modelled piece by Mary Wyatt. Also have a toad - another SitsInTheHandPerfectly piece, which I love.
Important 7, en guise de 5. Good visit last Fri. Crimbo Eve may be poss. For my sins, will be on SOS bus duty on New Year's Eve...could be lively.
Frequent Save's done throughout this, so I'll now hit PQR....CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:
