Well done, Scotrae !!!
L :-)0 -
Great news scotrae, many congratulations!
Quickly my 5 as I got to cook before the dance class!
1 - After reading more of the Sucking Eggs book this morning I got up and after my shower, instead of just throwing some tat to cover my body as I usually do, I put some decent (not elegant, but nice) clothes and some make up, inspired by the Keeping your best face forward motto! Why not in peacetime!
2 - Managed a lot more work than I thought possible, focusing and not surfing the net while working (dubious pleasure, but at least I am getting the hours in!).
3 - My marmalade is loved by all in the family, even DS who is notoriously funny about food had it on toast and complimented me!
4 - DD came home before going to stay at her BF's so I had a chance of saying hi and goodnight.
5 - Planning pasta with broccoli and cavolo nero now, as I write there is DH here sitting by me munching on almonds and looking very hungry - gotta go!
Have a lovely evening all xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Well done Scotrae from me too!
And an apology. I don't think I've got a hope of catching up with all the posts I've missed but we'll see.
1) My cousin and her family have twice cancelled coming to us for the day so although I'm disappointed in that, none of the food will go to waste - I'm saving lunch money by making sandwiches for DD and DS this week and I'm saving time because we have so much baking done.
2) Lending a favourite film to a friend at work and him really enjoying it.
3) DD and DS were out quite a lot at the weekend so DH and I capitalised on that and had some quality lazing around time together.
4) As a complete contrast, everyone is round for tea tonight, including girlfriends and boyfriends, so it's chilli and jackets for a big family meal.
5) Using up the snow cupboard. This probably means we will get snowed in or cut off but it is reducing the grocery bills, which is very welcome.0 -
Evening all
Scotrae - congratulations, thats brilliant news.
Ollie - yes, that is what they were like but 10 times faster!!
Mine for today:
1 Signed up for Candis magazine (had a free one last year and liked it) as there were reps in netto and got a free edition with a free book and was told by the bloke that i dont look my age (i know he was selling me something but always nice to hear!!!)
2 Got a few ys items in netto
3 £1.44 for the jar!! Cant believe I am managing to put money in every week!!! :T
4 Dd tidied up the living room without me asking- she was in such a good mood which i really did not expect as she had her pre school booster this morning which she screamed before, during and after!!!!
5 Cleaned the kitchen and part of the bedroom, I dug out the exercise machine for dh to use in the morning as part of his new 'get fit' campaign. He was not so happy when he came home and it was ready for him to use!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:
Thats it for me.0 -
