I am feeling as if I don't have a lot of things to post today, not been the most positive of weeks for me and the weekend is going to be very busy and dull. Today I:
1. Enjoyed coffee and a chat with a friend.
2. Will try and tackle the kitchen (I love it clean, just not cleaning it)
3. Light and enjoy some new candles
4. Read a good book to my DD
5. Collapse on the couch when DD is in bed, read a mag then have a very early night!
Sorry to be such a dose of depression this week, next week will be better (fingers crossed)Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Really like this thread.
1) Made angel cakes with DS age 2
2) At lunch with DD age 7 mo and DS, we were all bopping to 6Music. DD was surprised and intrigued by what mummy and her big brother were doing and then she joined in, bouncing around in her highchair (safely, I should add)
3) DH is coming home tonight after a week away
4) Put three hyacinth bulbs in forcing vase (and two makeshift forcing vases) and stuck them in the shed, will be some cheer in the depths of winter
5) Spent the afternoon in DS's room with both kids playing lego and chatting. Heavenly.
Better go, I can hear DD yelling in her cot0 -
A great OS side-effect of no.5 was that we kept warm what with all being on one small room so despite being in all day with two small kids i've only just put the heating on now (5.15)0

Hi All. My five for today are:
1. Awoke before the alarm again so no early morning shock to the system.
2. Some embroidery threads I ordered from Ebay came by return of post :T so super quick.
3. Laughing with DS2 over a silly joke.
4. Finding a site with some really funny smilies on it courtesy of another member - Money Saving Diva
5. Looking forward to going with my SIL tomorrow to look at a lovely, highly recommended by others, nursing home for MIL. She'll be much happier out of hospital and in a nice environment.
Only a quick post tonight as I'm 'pinching' some of DD's computer time :rotfl: Have a good evening everyone & I'll catch up tomorrow xxx0 -
Ooo, Jevvers, good job you mentioned bulbs!
5 for today.
1) Had a good tidy, changed my bed and the bunk beds, did 3 loads of washing, hoovered upstairs etc.
2) Did my college homework.
3) Did various other admin type jobs.
4) HM tea of brocolli and pasta cheese (with bits of bacon) then a rice pudding.
5) About to get a rather hyper couple of boys to bed then I'm going to do the ironing and watch Have I Got News For You, a bit of the Fleetwood Mac evening on BBC4 then possibly Jonathan Ross. Or I might skip the ironing, have a glass of damson gin and go to bed and watch the lot on the iplayer!
Hope everyone has a good evening.0 -
Still don't have time to read all your posts in detail, but as I have flicked through I have spotted words of encouragement for which I am very grateful. My friend has gone home for the weekend where she will be looked after by another couple of friends until she returns here on Tuesday.
1. Not OS but DH took me out for a meal today so that we could recharge our batteries.
2. A boiled egg for tea.
3. A lovely evening watching iPlayer and knitting a cardi which will match a skirt I bought recently.
4. Kind thoughts from kind people on this thread.
5. The lovely cup of tea my lovely DH has just brought me.

Been busy day today with kids and all.
Mine for today are:
Having fun making toilet roll rockets for Bonfire night with DS and mindee.
Going round to see a friend for an hour this afternoon.
enjoying watching older mindee play with DD whilst DS and younger mindee were getting hyper pretending to blast rockets off into space. It was so nice to have a house full of kids
Tea which was bacon, onion, garlic and potato hotpot - was very tasty and fairly cheap!
That H has done the washing up. Again.
Ordering from the Book People a Sing-a-long Christmas Carols book complete with CD as well as a cupcake receipe book which has 12 free silicone cupcake cases (the latter being a bargain for £4.99 I think!). Can't wait for them to arrive!!!

Bitsy Beans How old is your DD? You mentioned watching her toddle around and this time last year she was a babe in arms. It's my feelings on our DD2, she's 15 1/2 months and growing so fast!
She's nearly 16 months (so when I said babe in arms she was a bit more than a newborn but wasn't crawling/sitting etc). Mind you she's been on the 98th centile since birth so even when she was a babe in arms she was still ruddy heavy to lug about :rotfl:
She threw a massive toddler strop tonight and threw herself on the floor face first. Going to be a drama queen I think :rolleyes:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
