Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Evening all.
Baggy - poor you. There seem to be a couple of different versions of this bug going around, and it sounds like you've got the same one a friend at work had, as she described it exactly the same way.
I hope you feel better soon. (Or 'get well now!' as we say around here!
)
Skint - sounds like you've had much better weather than I have today - it's been dark, dismal and chilly here today.
villagelife - it's lovely to see you back.I'm mildly envious of your chestnut collection, though - I love those things!
ampersand - hope all went well today after your horrendously early start.
1) My hairdryer died this morning (that's the third one I've killed this year ) but I suddenly remembered that I had a £5 off voucher from B00ts, so I went out and got a new one - this one's got a 2 year guarantee, which I may well need the way things are going!
2) Ordered my first C-word prezzie of the year. It's a money box which my sister will love, reduced from £18 to £4.50. :money:
3) Ordered a free sample of cat treats, after the nasty shock over the weekend when I went to get some out and found that mog had eaten all the freebies I'd amassed, so I had to buy some!
4) A very excited phone call from my sister to say that she and her partner had exchanged contracts on their new flat, and will be moving in on Monday. :j
5) Sipping a glass of one of the cheap wines I bought a couple of weeks ago - at full price it's a bit more than I'd usually spend on a bottle, but I might be tempted as an occasional treat as it's fantastic stuff.
Have a good evening all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Skint - I've been going white since I was 32.
Tealady - thank for all the info, feeling a bit more organised. :-)
5 or so for today.
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son off to school and smaller son slept through his leaving and didn't wake til after 9!
3) Phone call from the Exclusions Officer apologising at great length for the most recent !!!! up regarding smaller son's schooling. She says they are at a loss to know what to do as there is nowhere suitable in the county for him thanks to funding cuts. She is going to phone Shropshire. :-/
4) Family railcard came ready for our day out in London next week. :-)
5) Survived smaller son's parent evening. (!) Nothing like being looked at disapprovingly for 15 minutes.
6) Huge tea. Made a big curry rice and naans. Sons still hungry so did treacle sponge and custard afterwards.0 -

Saving for a takeaway tomorrow, so tonight is a pasta bake, cheesy garlic bread and tomatoes and it was lovely.:D
Upstairs is clean and tidy as long as you don’t open a cupboard.:o
