5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

Evening. I've come down with "mum-flu" Oh alright - just a bit of a cold.

Still, I will do my best to find some pleasures

1. Slept well and woke naturally
2. Spent the afternoon baking and cooking - made a dozen banana muffins and 2 loaves of banana bread (had loads of bananas), tonights tea and tomorrows
3. DS won his football match - and it was a cup game
4. OH mended the bath tap washer - so had a soak in the bath
5. Reading your pleasures - still my favourite thread on the site.

Dundee - OH hates tattoos - calls them "s*ag tags" , I had one done in the''90s when women didn't really have them,way before I met him- on my Harris so not many people get to see it . I might have "Frankel"tattooed on my ankle to annoy him- it rhymes too !:rotfl:

5 for yesterday

1. A day of cooking and snoozing.

2. The fencing looks nice in the daylight .

3. Mercuriel Muriel the hen, who never gets wet or muddy (dunno how??) has been particularly clingy , which made me laugh.She is not keen on OH .

4.Nice roast

5. Made an apple crumble from my uncles apples - it was really nice although cooked apple does not like me that much ! Made a vegan ginger cake too for OH's friend.

Dropped off for most of the evening , but saw Felicity Kendall on Piers M. -said she has not had plastic surgery on her mush.... my eye !:rotfl:

2 Headaches? A thing that explodes into oblivion. See my thirst one on this. Possibly toooooo much snuff on the barmaids apron last night. Good wobbleade though, Screech Owl. Phew. Tooo many! Still gives Ms Sonny giggles and apparently I snore toooo much as well.

3 New pot of raspberry jam this morning, on hit buttered crumpets. It is also used in gravy and for chicken in our house. You do not nose what years missing. And I still have a pot of lumpy custard and the second half of the spotted !!!!!! to come.

4 the rest of the day, it is feet up. That way, Ms Sonny can whip round with the vacuum and not disturb me as my feet will be off the carpets.

5 Last nite was my lead and the word was SEED. Harvest and parable.

chicken the frankel ankle. Love it! 4 hours to go till i'm tagged :rotfl: my OH has 3 and has been enouraging me for more years than i care to remember. She has one with our wedding date on - very romantic (and in her words damn uncomfortable)

Thank you all for the comments on the blanket I made but must confess they are really easy to make. I was shown how to make them as a little girl by my dad and we have made them ever since for family and friends.

Pleasures for the last couple of days,
1. Helping out at Rainbow Fun Day, such well behaved children and all had a great day. Also nice to see how good DD is with the Rainbows she has definetely chosed the right career path I think.
2. Organised Saturday morning and getting the food shopping done before we went to Rainbows as meant we were not tempted with a takeaway. Made Toad in the Hole for DD and cooked a steak for OH which he has been pestering for.
3. Another blanket threaded on the frame using a new colour combination and looks really nice. Also got about a quarter of the knotting done.
4. Not OS or MSE but got hair cut and coloured. It was desperate, no longer have the badger look.
5. Bought myself some perfume as was on special offer, have been waiting for it to be at this price. Also managed to get a few extra boots points as well thanks to some vouchers . At the till I was given another points voucher so bought DD a mascara which worked out better than free as got more back in points than it cost:money:
6. Free cup of tea in waitrose and picked up a free carton of almond milk that had just come back in stock:money:
7. Cooked up some bits for packed lunches and a batch of chocolate cakes whilst preparing dinner.
8. Curled up on the sofa with DD and watched Dumbo yesterday afternoon whilst OH was at golf, bliss.

DDoll: Wow good luck with the tattoo, and I love the idea of the wedding date.
I've wanted a tattoo for a couple of years now, but I haven't as where I wanted it was over a metal plate in my leg but was advised it would not be wise as it swells up and down.

One HUGE pleasure today....

1-5 : my husband returned to work after 6 months off, was very strange when I got in and he wasn't here.....but I'm sure I'll get used to it again! Girls went to library, son was out with pals and I had an empty!! .....cooked the tea and did an ironing and wrote a letter.
