Lily - I am shocked by the action of that receptionist.
I really think you must either [a]write to the Practice Manager ormake an urgent appt with your Dr to inform him/her of it, as well as discussing the diagnosis.

It is an urgent matter for staff re-training at the very least.
That aside, my thoughts are with you. I've been there, too.

Please don't let this drop, for the reputation of your Surgery, if nothing else. It can be done quietly but with absolute determination on your part. It is a serious infraction.

    1. Was very organised this morning and we were all showered, breakfasted, pack lunches made and out on time, nice and early!

    2. NSD

    3. Fantastic day at school :)

    4. Got to DD's school in time for pickup, phew!

    5. We're watching Bake Off :) Ooooh that technical challenge was tricky!

Lily - how insensitive and wrong of the receptionist :( If its any consolation, a nasty GP told me over the phone that I had PCOS, was infertile, and to go away and think about IVF....about 10 months before I had DD!

woop woop on the 'wally trolley' VJ'smum, long may it roll. Also today's news must have been some relief to your DH, though long-term uncertainty. What a mess the Gov't made of this.

Thank you - yes we have our fingers crossed that not much will change for a while.

    Chicken - thank you x
Baggy - welcome. don't forget to write "Yum" on your pie
Ampersand - when I grow up I want to write like you

For today - it'll be a struggle as I've been to work, with no work to do

    1. coffee with colleagues
    2. Left early to catch train home with DD - arrived on the platform just in time to wave her off on the train :o:rotfl: So had a half hour wait but was funny.
    3. Chicken kiev for tea with leftovers from the weekend roast - refried roasties, cauli cheese
    4. Have decided to restart my writing course. If I have nothing to do at work then I might as well get some assignments done. Except
    5. have volunteered to mark 6 more dissertations. Never thought that would be a pleasure but I hate not earning my wage.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    1. Good workout, pushed myself to make up for the days I'll be missing
    2. Bought a homeless lad outside the supermarket a cup of tea from their cafe (yes I know he's probably better off than me but he just might not be. Soft, me)
    3. I also got the Wartime Farm book and have already read it from cover to cover. Fascinating
    4. Stripped the apple tree, peeled, cored and sliced for what seemed like for ever, now they're all in the freezer ready for when I need them
    5. Settled down to watch Jewish Mum of the Year, missed the first one and wish I'd missed this as well. The pleasure is in knowing that the critics are right for once. Later watched the Freddie Mercury documentary, far more enjoyable.
    6. Planned a holiday to Oban next May to visit an internet friend I've know for several years, but have yet to meet in person. With Barcelona on Thursday and now Oban that'll be two more to cross off my bucket list.
    7. Received a cheque for overpayment of tax. Blooming nerve, having worked all ones life they charge us tax on our pension but at least this time they admitted their error
    8. The house is looking all clean and shiny, why do I always do it when I go away? Just in case there's a fire and someone sees it looking dirty!

    Sleep tight :)
  • Good morning all !

Skint - our garden is full of red admirals . Love them.

Sparrer - I love Oban ! OH's folks came from Oban and Shetland . Scotland blows me away tbh, lucky you :D Glad you liked the Wartime Farm booklet I will read mine in my lunch break at work .

Have a good day all !
