  • Morning Mertle. Seems that after Social Workers, Educationalists, we have trainee dragons at the quacks reception desk. Put them in a room and throw the key away. Apols to DD, but, you do get a lot of free lunch to compensate for.

Good luck to those on trips, as the crows fly south.

Rites, off through SPARRASHIRE This mor, so three pips ands sees yous laters.

    Morning

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Low spend day, just got the things I needed and they were all on special offer.
    2. Packed lunches for everyone, DD loved her beef noodle soup. Free piece of cake at work to go with mine, left over from a lunch.
    3. Nice walk home to blow away the cobwebs of being in the office all day.
    4. Batch of lemon cakes made yesterday morning proved popular at home.
    5. Nice chat with a senior guider over what I need to do for Saturday as I am helping out at Rainbow Fun Day. We have 60 rainbows attending and I am on biscuit decorating duty (need to think up animal themes for the biscuits). Will be fun but busy day.

Hugs to all who need them

Watching "Big Fat Gypsy Wedding" ....a very different culture.

Well, work was horrendous today, too busy, not enough staff and I have too much of a conscience to walk out when we were still busy so worked on.

Watched Casualty and semi final of GBBO please don't tell me who won, I want to watch it when it's on YouTube . Watched at library for free.

First lot of seeds are growing in veg plot....carrots

    Parrots and ducklings .

That's about it for today. Have a good one :)

  • Afternoon all! :hello:

ampersand, thanks and yes we are thinking of complaining. I saw another doctor yesterday and he wasn't sure I have it all  and he asked for the hospital to check the original sample for another hormone to verify it!

Kittikins, that's awful! Glad you had a happy outcome! :)

Here's five from yesterday and today.

    1) Have done some more surveys and managed to claim a £10 voucher on Valued Opinions, which will go towards Christmas.

    2) Claimed 55p from topcashback... Well, it all adds up! :o

    3) Wrote my 1,000 words yesterday, will try to do the next lot while DH is watching the rest of the football.

    4) Met a friend I used to work with for a drink at lunchtime. It was lovely to see her. :)

    5) It's a bit warmer today, I'm sitting here in a short sleeved top and leggings (for now at least!)
  • 1. Went for a cycle along the river.
    2. Sat in the sun on the balcony (I live on the continent at 47 degrees latitude, so it's a bit warmer than the UK)
    3. Smoked my pipe and drank some mint tea in the sun
    4. Put on my heavily darned charity shop jumper (£6, had for five years) for the first time this autumn
    5. Made some homemade bread

    1. Amazing news - the teacher I've been helping these past 3 days offered out of the blue to be my official referee on my teaching application if I need one :):):)

    2. Great day with the lovely children

    3. One of the TAs hubbies is a builder/kitchen fitter so I have his number and hopefully he'll be more reliable than the kitchen fitter I thought I had lined up who seems to have gone awol.

    4. DD and I have played some great board and dice games after school.

    5. She's managed to somehow squeeze into a pumpkin outfit that she last wore when she was 7 months old!!! She's now 7 years 7 months old, and its not a top that we may have to cut her out of, although she's insisting its rather comfortable.....

    6. Had a lovely sleep last night snuggled up to DD, my little hot water bottle.

    7. Still so happy that I have a referee for my application form :):)

Whooo hooo some great news, 1-5 I got the job:j:j, I am so so happy, it’s a promotion of sorts, I say of sorts I have been doing the job for the past 2 years or so, it’s just now I’ve finally got the title and pay. I am so so so chuffed. I know it can still fall through at the moment so just waiting for final confirmation. I have now got all of the paperwork, I'm just getting 2 years worth of references together.

I haven't cancelled the other interviews yet until it's all totally confirmed and I have signed everything.
