Can't remember when I last posted, so apologies for any repetition.....I've come down with a horrible lurgy, probably due to spending so much time with children and all their snotty germs! ;)

    1. DD was very caring this morning as she put me back to bed for a couple of hours as I was feeling so rubbish, and brought me a drink and kissed my forehead as I fell asleep, so sweet :)

    2. She now has a friend here for a sleepover, and they're both very happy and chirpy, so lovely to be with such gorgeous girls :)

    3. Great chat with parents on the phone this morning

    4. OH and my favourite white wine is molto cheapo in MrA's this week, so naughtily treated us to a bottle

    5. Went into the office yesterday and picked up my redundancy paperwork, I know now my leaving date and my financial payout. Feels good and odd in equal measure.

    6. The remainder of the school week was brilliant, another year group, different teaching styles, gorgeous children.

    7. A lovely friend popped over for a cup of tea this afternoon, good to have a catch up with her :)

    8. Lots of washing done and on the line, hope it won't rain again!

    9. Sunshine and lots of it today, if I hadn't been feeling so pants we would have gone out for a picnic.
  • :rotfl:1 had a lie in as the kids didn't wake up till gone 8am.....Yey me this is a lie in as I'm used to being up at 6am.
2 sister came round and fussed the kids for an hour and for a cuppa and a chin wag.
3 took shopping list to tesco as well as the kids and it was a nightmare, it was so busy il not be doing this again if anything it made me rush and not look at other things lol so I think that's a good thing?
4 rang oh to pick up a large block of cheese and two loafs of bread whilst I was getting frustrated in tesco to save me some time and stress.
5 made homemade pizzas for the family for tea and they went down well.
hubby said they were even better than dominos and was really chuffed and I even got a big cuddle n sloppy kiss lol

    Mine for the day:

    1. Sun shining

    2. Cold better

    3. Drove car for short journey under DH supervision and am getting more confident

    4. Lunch and then walk in the woods in nearby country park

    5. Dinner of lentil and barley stew started on yesterday's stove, finished by DD's adding of vegetables. Lovely.

    Good night all.

5 for today so far... (25 mins left!)

    1) Bigger son's 12th birthday and my grandad would have been 100 today.

    2) Both sons happy all day. :-)

    3) Went to see dad after lunch and he was moving logs on the tractor so both sons had a ride on that.

    4) Party! We had... my brother and sister, my sister's boyfriend, my friend from school and MrN's youngest 3 sons. We had burgers and hotdogs, trifle and cake. Most of the time, everyone was outside having a NERF gun fight or playing with bigger son's new remote controlled airoplane (£15 from Argos).

    5) Mentioned on FB that I have no photos of sons from before 2005 and my friend immediately scanned some photos of bigger son at her wedding in 2001. :-) She has loads more and is going to make me some copies.

As for OH. After the weirdness yesterday when he suddenly said I should have invited him to son's birthday (after telling me very clearly he wouldn't come over today), I have had absolute silence. Not a phone call or text to say happy birthday to bigger son - nothing at all. Which seems a bit mean.

Frith glad DS had a good birthday

    Mine for yesterday
1 Met OH for coffee in St Pancras. Very "Brief Encounter". He was leaving for home while i was passing through
    2. Read loads of magazines on the train - have caught up the backlog.
    3. Dad seems to be in a routine at home. He seems a bit frail - but it is only to be expected after so long in hospital
4, I went to see the sea briefly - was lovely in the sunshine
    5. Got home at a reasonable time and all my connections worked perfectly

A day of housework, work and clearing the hall stairs and landing ready for the decorators tomorrow.:T
I wanna be in the room where it happens
