  • Good evening all!

CCP - take it easy x

Frith - glad to hear that the xray was all clear and that you are feeling perkier !! Here's to more good days than bad days

Tealady - welcome back . Sorry to hear that you have been poorly .

Sonny- not sure what to say about your no.5 :o?? But oooh to be tucked in bed all snuggled up , is a pleasure at anytime . I love my bed !

    4 for today

    1. Made my Daffy duck noise at a fox who was having a leisurely stroll in my garden at 5am and it scared both of us.

2.Work was a constant bombardment of carp from every direction. Pleasure ??? Its over ...and one day closer to pay day :)

3 OH has made a stew in the slow cooker for tea and it smells delicious.

    4. Night in on my own tonight as OH is going out. Gosh I sound horrible ! He cooks and then goes out when I come in:rotfl:

So few when at work !

Have a good evening all !

    Evening all.

Frith - I'm glad your DS is OK - well, OKish, anyway!

Tealady - I hope you're feeling much better by now.

PK - I'm glad the interview went OK - best of luck with the outcome.

Welcome to all the new posters - do please come and join in! :)

I'm glad to say I'm feeling much better today - it's still uncomfortable, but I can live with that!

    1) Managed to dodge the showers while walking (well, limping!) to the GP's surgery for a follow-up appointment, and saw a couple of lovely rainbows on the way there and back.

    2) The lovely nurse told me that most people don't find this operation particularly painful so, as I'm obviously having an unusually bad time, I should take at least a couple more days off work to recover. Oh well, if you insist... ;)

    3) I had to go to the chemist afterwards so, as I was there, I popped in to the shop next door and found some RTC croissants - that's tomorrow's breakfast sorted out, then. :D

    4) Spent most of the afternoon playing a very silly computer game - a free one, of course :money: - and enjoying not feeling remotely guilty about doing so. :D

    5) But I did manage to find enough energy to vacuum the living room floor to remove the signs of a slug that obviously came inside overnight and had a wander round. While the slime trail's annoying, I can't really blame it for not wanting to be outside at the moment!

Have a lovely evening, all, and I hope everyone's stayed relatively dry.
Back after a very long break!

    1. Second day at school was just as exhilerating but less tiring than the first :)

    2. NSD - this being away from shops and only having a 30 minute break is good for the purse!

    3. I made DD's favourite dinner (that's odd, I thought last night's or the night before's was the favourite, lol), and there's enough left over for my dinner tomorrow

    4. Got the last parking space in the village car park this morning, thanks to DD's eagle eyes :)

    5. Went to local farm/play place with Rainbows after school and the girls had a great time whilst us leaders watched, helped, chatted, put the world to rights etc.

    6. We saw a rainbow :)

Frith pleased to hear the damage to bigger son's face wasn't quite as bad as it could have been
CCP good to hear about the extra time of work!

Stressy, stressy day, the worst I've had for a very long time...

1....the pleasure is that I have almost been able to sort out the issue, to my advantage.

    2. I don't know why someone says something completely untrue then denies it, fortunately I have proof on the comp that the event took place. Thank goodness I have a little knowledge of techie stuff :)

    3. The agent tried to charge more than she should have for our holiday, so unable to deal with her any more and have been put in touch with her HO. Remains to be seen what tomorrow brings but it can only be better than today

    4. Washed down all the cupboards and tops, door frames, white goods, skirting boards in the kitchen. A bit stressed due to the above so they got cleaned to within an inch of their lives!

    5. The dog brushed with much the same fervour, he's looking pretty smart with not a knot or tangle in sight :D

    Sweet dreams :)
  • PK - fingers crossed for the job . Enjoy you getting up in your own time!

Well I should be getting up and ready for work but I CBA !! Feeling stressed, had a bad day yesterday and feeling ill today. Am feeling anxious about performance review today.... anyway....

mhagster Good to hear your OH blood results have improved since last week, may he continue to improve x

Tealady sorry to hear you have been poorly hope youre feeling better x

Pk Glad you are feeling so positive about leaving work and glad to hear the interview went well....good luck x

sparrer hope you can sort out holiday problems and it doesnt put a downer on your holiday. It does help if you have proof doesnt it, I remember orange trying to make me pay for answerphone messages and when I forwarded the email I had kept from them stating they were free within my call package they refunded me and gave me free answerphone for life

    For yesterday

    1. had a parking space at work so didnt get too wet getting into work

    2. some good news from specsavers re DS eyesight so hopefully he will stop panicking now

    3. long chat with old school friend from yorkshire who I have kept in touch with. She mentioned her partner has an overdraft and that she had considered asking me if she could borrow the money to pay it off or ask me to be guarantor for a loan  As I am a single parent struggling myself I am glad she did not ask me as it would have upset me to say no !

    4. fish and chips for tea. Not OS, not good for the diet but what the hell :D

    5. A nice soak in the bath

Have a good day everyone x

Today is going to be a good day I feel :)

    1) At college last night, I shut up the smug 20 year old in my AAT class by gently pointing out that he is very close to his school years which is one of the reasons he finds exams easy, and that for someone like me who is 17 years his senior it is a huge thing just to be in a classroom again!

    2) I have a beef casserole cooking in the slowcooker so I know when I go upstairs to my flat tonight I will be able to smell it.

    3) It held off raining long enough for me to walk to work this morning.

    That will do for now.

Positive thoughts and prayers to all who need/want them :)
I promise that I will do my best.....
