Hello, stressy day over, all went well (as it does but I do stress!) sun has been out and has been a nice day.
1.dd2 came to work with me and got $20 for working.....she does not keep money for very long unlike her sister who does not like spending !
2. Got a lovely letter from my friend, I think our mail has probably crossed in the post. For some reason mail from UK takes 2-3 weeks to come here and from here to UK takes 3-4 days, not sure how that works!
3. Walked to wee supermarket with OH for milk and he is chopping veggies for dinner. We are having sweet and sour chicken ....nice not to have to cook.
4.saw a kookaburra near work, they always make me happy.
5.OH had to see specialist today and his blood results have improved since last week, which is better news.no further appointments ( at the moment!) for 2 weeks.
CCP I hope you're feeling better today, take it easy.
Frith , hope both your boys are okay today.
kittikins, glad your first day at school went well, I also helped out at kids primary school for many years and gained a lot of experience and satisfaction from helping.
Hope everyone has a lovely day , tonight I must iron,I have never had an ironing pile like the one that is taking over my front room:(0 -
Special msg to Frith's grand young man - BIG OUCH!!! - be ready for lots of us asking how you are when you come back from Hosterpool, as many of us said, sans doute, when we were smaller than you are now.
Be sure you take a pic - great one for later.
re: smaller son - I think your fiddling about with stopwatches is interesting and let's say I'm sitting alongside and asking about them. Have you got one you can take with you to x-ray this morning and time everyone?...or not. However fancy takes you - you're not in shackles and the mind roams free, which is the great glory of l'être-humain..

A good day to everyone. I've an hour to be ready for pick-up/CUBG/lunch today.
First pleasure:
1. The month's rain overnight has not happened - it's sunny out!

mhagster - oh, that is GOOD to read re: OH blood test results AND the pause you now have - a touch like normalcy for the coming fortnight. Well done with work stressy events, too..CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Morning
Sorry not been posting for a few days but have been a little unwell and not bothered with the computer. Anyway starting to feel much better now so some pleasures for the last couple of days.
1. Pretty much kept to the meal plan even when didn't feel like cooking.
2. Eating frozen grapes when you have a sore throat is just the best thing ever.
3. Starting to make a baby blanket for a friend, I have changed the pattern slightly to what I would normally do and so far looks really good. Plus I had all the wool I needed in the house may need to buy some more though as 4 people have asked for one to be made
4. Stocking up on wine whilst on special offer
5. Catching up on everyones lovely pleasures
Hugs to all who need them0 -
Morning all!
Gorgeous sunny day here, assume you're somewhere near me Ampersand, as there was localised flooding yesterday and a month's worth of rain predicted overnight that thankfully never arrived! Right my pleasures for the day:
1. Very grateful for laminate floors after tiny pink tipped tea everywhere, upended a pot plant, then whilst I cleared up she did a spot of decorating with some white emulsion that dd3 had been using to pain her papier mâch! and had left out!
2. Picking raspberries, beans, squashes, courgette and spinach from the garden
3. Enough stew left from last night to make a nice pie later in the week, and several portions of food for dd4.
4. Nice new socks with funky flamingos, might be sunny but my tootsies are starting to feel the autumn chill!
5. Will be baking raspberry and choc chip muffins, and making a warming curry for dinner, veg with the addition of some of Sunday's leftover lamb for the meat eaters. Will also make some bhajees as oh picked up several bags of 39p onions from aldi yesterday, will also be chopping and freezing all but one bag - bring on the watery eyes!
Have a good day all xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
I'm a bit of a lurker now my boys are at school full time. Just reading up on the past few pages and have got some great ideas of what I can do to keep me amused.
Have already made Lorraine Pascals peanut butter and choc squares out of Azda basic peanut butter (which was reduced), ood digestives and cooking marg. It will satiate the boys when they come in ravenous and, albeit, it is full of sugar and possibly 'the wrong kind of fat' it will seem like a treat as I dont 'DO' sweeties in this house.
Left over boiled bacon, peas pud and dumplings for tea. Yay. No cooking.0 -
Sweety day, I tawt DD was never going to talk to mes agin, but hey, :heartpuls everyone and all. Hops that CCP is over her OPs, and I is waiting for mes bins and results from Papworth.
5 Got some decent head this morn from a very nice lady, and she had me done in a snip. And she only stung me for a fiver as well! Cared for me she did as I told her I as a broken heart. (cor better snot tell Ms Sonny. Nope, she does her hair as well!!!)
4 Rant time gals, Blooming (change the M for a D) GostUrgh Keys Outlet store. Nora, King of the Foes, Rubbish again. It is just not worth it in that hole. I went for a pair of shoes. Complete codswallop, plastice coffee bars and ... Should ad gone to Stroud instead!!!
3 Festered chilli for tea tonight, 4 day auld and still breating on stove. Note I shall be trooping likes a ... tonight, so a couple of wobbleades are called for. Thats will be after the Rugby later.
2 Good to see the lurkers join in the nonesense. Now we must all be nice not to them, coming round this parish and making hard for us all to catch up on aour daily thoughts and ditties.
1 Fall and tumble, that is what we do, cut a grazes will amzes us. But should anyone of us stumble, we are here to peckers them up. Unless they ride treadders, then it is only yoursen fault.
Rite yous lots had enuffs of Sonny Delight today, so that is it, I is back to the flat sheet and ...I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!

5 for today so far (Tuesday already).
1) Bit of a lie in since neither son was at school...
2) Back to hospital for bigger son's Xray. HUGE wait, over 2 hours, wonder why they gave us an appointment time at all! But, good to see the inside of bigger son's head (on an xray) and it was all clear. He still looks terrible! Another pleasure was not getting a parking ticket because we certainly deserved one by the time we got out.
3) Had lunch in hospital and it was very pleasant.
4) Mum and dad popped in.
5) House getting tidier.
6) Walked in the rain for 1.5 hours and got a carrier bag full of sloes.
7) Looking forward to a bath in a mo when the water has heated up (still raining constantly) and to Holby City later on.
8) Oh yes, bigger son told me nonchalantly that he is in super science. Asked what it is and they have picked 14 people from his year to be in a set above the top set and he's in it!
9) Texts from OH. :-)
10) I'm feeling better today.0
